      Thanks heaps bro 🤙🏼 I want to see what it’s like on the CA haha, I’ll have to get some more gas for the welder to chop and change that exhaust housing to fit!

    That turbine housing is pretty shabby man, looks like a rough farmer like me took to it with his grinder and welder lol

      Haha yeah but I’ve chopped and welded it and ground it back and re welded it about 5 different times and then ceramic coated it and it actually looks pretty good now! I welded and ground on a V band exhaust even!
      I still haven’t tried it on my Silvia though.

    What size bolt did you use to pull the oil restrictor pin out?

    • @ScubaMade
      @ScubaMade  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I finally got around to measuring it again, it’s an M4 20mm long and 0.7mm pitch!

    Nice! Does that assembly need to be balanced or did it bolt in and go?

    • @ScubaMade
      @ScubaMade  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks buddy, I’m sure it could of just been bolted on and go, but I actually want to get it balanced for piece of mind, and possibly to extend its new life, it would definitely work unbalanced but should last longer all balanced up!

      @@ScubaMade nice. Where did you get it done? Machine shop?

    • @ScubaMade
      @ScubaMade  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t had it balanced yet, I’ve called up to ask a shop here in the Gold Coast and I think they said it would cost $160 to balance it, so I plan to do that soon!

    No need to dynamic balance ?

    • @ScubaMade
      @ScubaMade  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I ended up getting it balanced, they said it balanced up nicely with minimal grinding!
      I tried it on my Silvia briefly but it was way too big!

    Mine has oil pooling in the inlet, when i take the intake pipe and pod off, is it just that o ring that's gone bad?

    • @ScubaMade
      @ScubaMade  ปีที่แล้ว

      Is there any pcv of similar pipes going into your intake? That would be my first thought. If not, then if oil is in the inlet it could be the O ring in the turbo failing or the oil ring.

    Where do you buy your rebuild kits

    • @ScubaMade
      @ScubaMade  ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha thanks mr PM! I found most of the parts on eBay but in separate pieces, not all as a kit, there might be some kits out there though, the parts came from overseas from what I can remember!

      I got it balanced and it came out perfect 👍🏼 but I still haven’t tried it on my Silvia yet, I have been messing around with the exhaust housing a fair bit too! Sorry for my lack of videos lately. Hopefully I can fix that soon 🤞🏼
