@@kbottrill1well that's due to a difference in styles, Jericho wrestled a more technical style compared to Edge & Christian who wrestled a more extreme style in the beginning of their careers and later on in their careers and it caught up to them

Christian is really putting himself in the convo of best heels ever. He said so little yet so much here. I initially wanted them to team up as heels but now I see the heat Christian can get this way.

I think Christian's current run may be one of the best heel characters I've ever seen. He is so convincing, so cold and can get such intense(but entertaining) heat. Love this run.
It's more how he shows up the rest of AEW. There's only a handful of world class characters.

This is one of the many reasons why I love and respect Adam and Christian, they never just automatically do something. They're going to bait this for some time, making the fans drool and urge for them to team again. A handful of years ago, I thought I'd never see them wrestle ever again. and here they are showing the world why they are so damn treasured in the wrestling industry. This is priceless!!!
It gives me chills knowing that in my lifetime I witnessed both Adam and Christian as rookie mid carders in the attitude Era turned into one of the greatest tag teams ever, to holding their own as single competitors and becoming champions and on to being living LEGENDS! Wow...

This is especially impactful when you realize that both men thought--with good reason--that their careers were over. When Edge retired in 2011 and Christian retired in 2014, they had to believe that that was it--there was no way the two of them would ever work together in the ring again.
And nine years later, here they both are. I can't even begin to imagine what that must mean to them, and what it must feel like.
And for me, the best part is that I know they WANT this to be the highlight of their careers, so they're giving it their all.

Im so proud of Christian. This is by far his best work as a singles wrestler in his career. He is a well seasoned veteran.
And that is saying something if u think about it! Because his run as a singles heel back around 2005ish when he started wearing the cool jump suits and first had the new cool ass theme music. He had tomko and had a pretty good feud with Cena. Those few years was what really established him as a main event star. But u may be right this run in aew as a heel could even be a bit better than that run. Christian is, has and prob always will be severely underated. He is head and shoulders above almost anyone he steps into the ring with in every category.
This is not better than his Impact rise as Christian Cage initially but I'd put it as a clear, solid 2nd so far.

I honestly just want to say how brilliant I thought this whole segment was. The whole history between them, Adams comments about Sting, the way he was getting riled about sting, the use of Christians real name to really hit home this is deeper than wrestling. The fans were amazing throughout and then Christian once again proving why he’s such an incredible heel with just one killer line. This honestly, to me, was just gorgeous

It’s funny how Adam spoke about Sting making people feel. It was obvious the Christian swerve was coming after the hug but when he said ‘Go F Yourself,’ I felt it! Great heel work and storytelling from both.
Adam is so damn good on the mic and with his promos. He never messes up and always has emotion to what he says.
He does mess up, but he is so good at making it seem intentional that you have to try to notice it.

In contrast Christian's Heel promos are one of the best compared to any heel nowadays.

I don't follow wrestling anymore. I saw this announcement on my feed, and I had to see it for myself. The attitude era, the ruthless aggression era are what I grew up with, and all I felt was a wave of nostalgia. My wife and I sat watching this with zero context, and had smiles across our faces, cheering at this goofy thing. Thanks, guys. You have no idea how much this meant to us, just to have some fun.
Watch AEW. They've managed to bring back old school fans to the new school. Its really good.
This man is so incredibly happy, you can't help but feel happy listening to him and watching him emote all over the ring.
Honestly, one of the most emotional promos I have ever seen in 25+ years of following wrestling. Adam genuinely emotional and enthusiastic of being in AEW, a heartfelt speech, Christian on the verge of tears but so incredibly focused to stay in character, the ending, the off-screen spears. Cannot wait to see how all this unfolds.

Adam bringing up what happened to him by judgment Day was a great tip of the cap. Christian also knows he's always been considered the second guy in their tag team. He wants to be the leader.

yeah, taking care of yourself is surely a golden way to preserve your physical abilities in the later years even tho the body slowed down due to age (which is normal)... I love that Excalibur explained the story of Adam and Christian for the younger fans. We need MORE of that in wrestling. Not everyone knows the complete history of pro wrestling, lets clue in the new viewers and welcome them with open arms

Man, I love Adam. I remember first seeing him back in 2003 when I was 6 years old and seeing him still doing it 20 years later just gives me a massive smile. AEW is RATED R!

I've been a fan of Christian Cage since he was Gangrel's apprentice. It's wonderful to see a lot of newer fans witness how talented he's always been.
Can I just say I love this era in wrestling where even if they switch companies they can now keep their music, their presentation, it just feels so good, no matter where Edge goes, he got Metallingus, no matter where Punk goes he got Cult, no matter where Cody goes he got Kingdom, etc.

The show just went off the air just only a few hours ago and they already posted clips of the various segments and matches in quick order. This is a hell of a lot better than there was a few years ago when it took virtually the whole day to post highlights of Dynamite.
Unfortunately I work overnights during the week so these highlights on TH-cam is the only way I've been able to keep up with AEW.

I know a lot of people liked that, but I always felt it was insulting. They gave him a 2 day reign and he never properly won it back. He just won because of a dumb stipulation. He just kept getting bitch-slapped by Randy, never picking up a clean victory.
I’m not even a fan of wrestling anymore, haven’t watched in years but I see clips here and there of current happenings. This right here is an incredible thing to see. These two in the Twilight of their careers, and still in the best places they could be, and standing in a ring together once again. Crazy sight.

I love how Adam added just the right touches of inside life of them being such close friends. Especially the poster at the barbershop so Christian could have his hair cut the same as Sting. 😂😂. Classic storytelling.

I like how Adam tells Christian mentioning about how they were once tag team for years, and we almost had a good reunion-“face” up change for them, but Christian really goes again as a biggest heel role model in AEW. Looks like we can't wait for Adam's AEW match debut against Luchasaurus.

Absolute legends and two of the best to ever do it. I’m my early 30’s now and I’ve been watching these two since I was a little kid, always been two of my absolute favorites over the years and across promotions. Being able to watch them in the same ring in 2023 after they almost had to retire due to injuries years ago..
