Was already planning on league starting an HFT/Flamewood Chieftain, partially inspired by your and Sirgog's league starters last league. Glad to see you're coming back to it!
I may be remembering wrong, but have you mentioned the March of the Legion boots in any of your videos about Flamewood? It gives 3-5 levels to socketed aura gems, which Rejuvenation Totem is. It's an easy way to really scale without a 6 link.
I'm not sure if I mentioned it in any of them but yeah March is a great addition. The first time I played Flamewood I was using Vaal AWC so I couldn't make use of March, and the second time I died very soon and didn't reroll the build
I played this all last league and the entire time I wished Hinekora worked in my t16 half juiced harvests. Ill be following along with your build progress! Show us the way. Tatiantel2 has a Hierophant Stormblast that I think i’ll try for my second league so I learn a new class and skills… but still totems cause it’s so fun!

I am going for Tectonic Slam of Catalysm on a ignite based setup with cruelty, I will have to experiment what feels good, also want that 20% more ignite damage with a stunning hit. I am on 12 endurance charges, so a lot of AoE and Damage
Based. I league started this last league and managed to finish feared with the gem being bugged. Might be better now with the new mark for more tagets to hit the totem. Clunky but comfy.
Yeah this build really defines those playstyles in poe that you either love or hate, and I enjoy it a lot. As you say it's super comfy, looking forward to league launch!
Day 1 progression was very smooth but the character unfortunately died very early(lvl 87ish) and I had acquired some gear and more importantly the transfigured gem(Chain DD) so I rerolled that instead on an Inquisitor. Flamewood is a solid build if you can get past the clunkiness of it, and it's a build that can very easily transition from mapper(ignite) into hit based for uber bossing on a budget using Black Zenith. Who knows, maybe I'll run it back a third time next league!
I can't resist the power charge flicker. If there is a transfigured discharge with low cd I'm doing volls protector discharge flicker. That would be a dream build for me.
Flamewood will be broken on Ultimatum. I though on start with this, but I have my doubts and Im going to start with siege ballista hiero again 😅 Good luck on league start.
I think the new mark giving vaal soul charges would make VAW flamewood a lot more usable on bosses too, though I guess VRT is probably plenty good enough. I would try it again too but I'd rather try other builds. Might level a Marauder with it if I wanted one later though.
What do you do on bosses that you can't taunt? Also how did you level with HFT? I mean what did you do to get damage? I tired and I couldn't believe how bad the damage was. I went straight to Arsonist, used two Goat Horns, I think it was some of the worst DPS. It reminded me of leveling EK Chieftain, but once I hit about lvl 28 things finally started to look up.
Basically follow pohx caster leveling guide for RF marauder, use rolling magma/HFT, I did that until ancestral bond at which point I'm just using the double HFT with flammability/flame wall, does just fine through the campaign, switch to flamewood at maps
@@dreamcore_gg Thanks for the response I appreciate it. I was wondering though what are you doing with Bosses that can't be taunted? If your totems don't Proc you got no damage. Or do you just not do any maps with things that can't be taunted? I mean once you got enough damage even in the campaign all you got to do is drop your totems and keep running, it's actually really strong. It's just slow as hell getting started. I was watching a video of someone who ran Flamewood in the campaign and the issue of things that can't be taunted was what really bothered him. I just figured there must be some gem swap or something for those situations. Thanks again!
@@Valkaneer Yeah this is the clunky side of flamewood, fe. the goddess boss in maps(the one normally with Izaro) just barely hits and you can't really proc flamewood. I mostly just try to avoid as much as possible, don't run cannot be taunted map mod etc. But this is one of the biggest issue I have personally with flamewood and why I probably wouldn't play it again unless I reroll into a bossing setup after dropping black zenith. At that point, in boss arenas you basically drop your totems on boss ability/yourself to bait hits

That was my biggest worry with the build and unless you're building a specific build for perhaps delve and only for delve I think it would be a big mistake to do for a starter. Kind of sad though, since once you get enough damage it's a pretty good in nearly all other scenarios.
I only played this build for the first 4 days orso last league and ripped the char before I even used any totem life tattoos and it was fine. I think endgame scaling is actually quite similar but more specific now(ashes grants a huge amount of more totem life because of the new quality)
@@dreamcore_gg level 84. May have been too expensive to league start but build is still a very strong mapper. Ended up buying a fulcrum for 2 div and went self ignite prolif which is working incredibly well. I will swap back to life stacking when I get more currency right now body swap only has ~750 base damage with 4.9k life. Using flameblast for big ignites is easier early on and than prolif that ignite with fan the flames. Righteous fire still feels good but the life scaling early on during maps REALLY hurts instead of the easy flat that it used to have.

Played this in TOTA league; clunky af, but slapped hard - even pinnacle bosses.
Played this last league. What do you think about decoy totem with flamewood?
Decoy is fine if flamewood is secondary damage for the build, but the cooldown prevents the use for main damage
I feel like without the inc totem life tattoos its gonna be way less damage or do you have a solution for that?

Yeah the build easily makes it to two stones, I'll be levelling with HFT until switch at maps
