I've farmed it a lot this league and I'd not recommend to run this strat if you aren't willing to haggle with tujen afterwards. It can be tedious but you are giving up a lot of protifs by selling the exotic coinages.
same experience, tujen haggle put too much stress on my finger, but if i sell reroll currency i lost too much. In the end i prefer other farming than this.
I used expedition and heist this league and it's my very first league. All I can say is you can do this early only for small currency and some gear you need but once in t16 it's better to do other things than expedition.
I only do this for the first 2-3 days of the league, helps me get my first 30-50 divs rather quick, and then I shift to something else that's less rippy and tedious.
I did this expedition farm with big bomba, with 1 dannig scarab, 2 runefinding and a versium powder. Pretty good and fun, just the haggling for chaos/div/gem/alteration/vaal/scour/regret are too tiresome. I can almost sustain artifact of tujen just buying from dannnig at a discounted rate of 0.7 and below. Had to switch to farmin 8mod maps, the haggling is just not fun unless i can just buy from tujen instead of haggle. Dannig is pog tho, printing tujen reroll & logbook, got more logbook from reroll dannig than the maps i did to acquire the dannig reroll
Sounds pretty good, yeah! Definitely gotta do Tujen haggle yourself for it to be worth the time. Logbooks you can go either way on, tbh, but Tujen's too good to pass up.
Big bomba got me my Mageblood and Awakened Spell Echo in week 2, so I will forever be a bomba believer (just gotta play a build that gets explosion chains early like KB CF or some versions of RF)
I like using the skald scarab to guarantee dannig every time (if you can afford or farm them yourself). Eliminates the rng of which person leading. And from my personal testing burial medallions are about a 1-1 exchange rate to coinage on average. Archeology a bit too tough for me though I havent tried it with headhunter on.
i was doing this strat on rf first and then on cast when stunned jug, both feels insanely good, unless there is phys overwhelm or fire immune mods. Also it was less profitable then main strat, but big expedition exlosion with big chief exlosions after with herald of ash is really satisfying, feels like next explosion will blow up your pc irl instead of mobs
I've tried it (self ignite chieftain) and it's not really fun. We get destroyed by fire or ignite immune. And ele pen is also pretty much death guaranteed. So, too many deaths and I switched strat quickly. Ultimatum was waaaay more fun for me (except for the part you randomly encounter the boss and the fight takes 5-10 min lol). Just stand in the middle, don't move and you get some (crappy) div cards, sometimes some div or chaos about each map, and some really cool and expensive uniques. Every reward has 25% chance to get duplicated with the atlas tree so it's like a lottery. Will my stack of 6 fertile catalysts be duped? :)
@@raka77 sure, boom is cool so I considered removing the scarab that gives 2 prefixes and suffixes but in the end I stayed with ultimatum since I found it very chill.

Its perfect, I started with cold dot trickster this league to farm early expeditions then I switched to hexblast mines trickster for more damage. Both builds excel at this mechanic.
The difference is noticeable if you get a lot of coins per expedition, otherwise you cant really track how many more artifacts you get (honestly negligible considering how easy it is to refill artifacts with logbooks)

Yeah, the scarab definitely pays for itself, it's just a higher cost than the budget version, and the budget version is fun!
