I can definitely see these being popular at an event. Especially if you have kids an bad cell service. Appreciate the info and review. Right on Brother!💪Happy 4th🙏🇺🇸🙏
There is no such thing as "sub channels". Ch.22 for instance is 462.72500 MHZ and doesn't change. What you're calling a sub channel is sometimes called a "privacy tone". Which is also misleading. No matter what you set that to anyone on Ch.22 can still hear you. What it actually does is make it so you can only "hear" other radios transmitting with that sub-audible tone. On the power setting, Hi Power (2 watts) can be legally used on channels 1-7 and 15-22. Channels 8-14 must be set to Low Power (.5 watts). It is against FCC rules to run more power on these channels. Though it's highly unlikely the FCC would come after you for using 2 watts on the channels designated for .5 watt maximum. They have better things to do than deal with kids on toy FRS (Family Radio Service) radios. You will never get a range of 3 miles with these. You will be lucky to get 1/4 mile range, at best.
The manual refers to it as sub Channels so I just go on what is called in the book. Also I said it claims a 3 kilometer range, not 3 miles. which is under 2 miles. I've tested these at 1/2 mile and they were crystal clear so I'm not sure how far they will actually work I'll do a full range test later. thanks for watching.
Yeah these look like pretty decent walkie talkies for the trails for sure. Nice camping idea as well
thanks bud. good for hunting with a friend also since they have headphone jacks to keep it private and quiet

@@RCVOODOO: Ya I have seen Chinese written manuals call them "sub channels" but in reality there is no such thing. --- 1/2 mile is great!
