Now that’s a GREAT tenkara backpacking/ fishing adventure! I’ll be up there myself in a few weeks. Would love to find some holes holding trout but I’m ok just to get out there and hike it in the wilderness just the same. Love the Sods. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks a lot! I couldn’t find any trout and it didn’t seem “trouty” to me, even though there are trout signs at the trail head. But man it’s an amazing area with great trails and camp sites. Enjoy your trip!!👊

Cant wait for the Hughes river vid. My friend an I were the fly fisherman on the river. Love the channel!

One video before that one but it’s just as good. It was nice meeting you guys, hope you both hooked up! I know I was having a hard time the day before with my Tenkara. Thanks for the support. Tight lines!!

Hiked the same trail in April. Dolly Sods is such an exotic spot, very different from the rest of the MD/VA trails around here. Beautiful scenery. Thanks for taking us along!

The Sods are an anomaly on the east coast, nothing like it. Love exploring the area

Looks like they could use some rain. Or maybe that beaver should share some water. Looked like a cool adventure still.

Sorry you didn't find the good fish. The only things I've seen in Dolly Sods are creek chubs and crayfish. Cranberry seems to be the west VA wilderness area people find trout in.

Too bad about the trout being MIA but that is some pretty country no doubt. Enjoyed the video!

Yeah I was bummed about the trout. There were signs at the trailhead for catch and release but it just didn’t seem like trout water to me. Trying new places doesn’t always work out but when you find that gem! Thanks
