I don’t think there’s anywhere else you can get such an in depth look at these less expensive models. You provide so much useful information to people considering these things. Great video!
There's isn't. :D This young talented man and coach caught my eye and I haven't even bothered watching any of the other RC channels since. No fluff and no click bait- It was obvious where channels passions where being derived. Monetary or passion. RC-TNT has remained diligent in maintaining a focus on the tiny trucks and an honest assessment and opinion of whichever RC genre he's speaking. It's most gratifying in retrospect the closing discussion of his tests of tiny trucks when you're subconsciously picking up on all the "things that make a RC great" in technical terms giving anyone a serious leg up in knowledge when existing in this wonderful hobby. If there's anyone that deserves their spotlight as an RC reviewer, teacher and commentator, I can think of no one more than RC-TNT. He's legit, like Holmes Hobbies. Nuff said. Welcome to the fam and grats on your 1 month! See you next video fellow Tiny Trucker!
As usual an outstanding review. It seems like the body is smaller than 1/10. I could be wrong(as I usually am.... LOL) Merry Christmas, Sir, and keep up the fantastic work. For me, it's "College" for rc cars !!!! 🙂
It's a small 1/10, that's true. I think of scale as more a general indicator in most cases. It can definitely hang with the bigger cars and fit right in.
What a really nice looking rig. The body looks a little like the Clints liveried Charisma Coyote, but that blue really suits it. Performs as well as it looks. As I've said before, getting RGT in the UK means AliExpress or Banggood, and import duty on top of an increasing price and shipping sometimes (current price £333 inclusive of VAT, but there would be duty on that I guess!). We do get some FTX versions here, but they're not always quite so good! Thanks for a great year's content, Craig. Watching your videos while I was laid up in hospital in June, and with the health issues after certainly helped keep me occupied. I hope you had a good Christmas, and wishing you and yours a happy and healthy New Year. All the best for a prosperous and productive 2025. 🤗
Thank you, Mr Lowrie. I hope 2025 is better for you , too. All the best and thanks for all your thoughtful comments and discussion this year. It's been a pleasure, despite your circumstances at times!!
@RCTNT onwards and upwards, as they say. My condition is not going to get the better of me, physically or mentally. Thank you for the kind words. Take care, Craig. Here's to a positive 2025. ❤️
I was surprised when you said at the debriefing part that tires were needed to be replaced. I received mine with different tires, looks like a landmine copy but definitely got grip.
Well I definitely didn't say they needed to be replaced. Better foams would help, as would a stronger servo for more strenuous crawling. But I said I expected the tires would wear in. I also said, better tires might help, and to keep them small if you do. But my intention was to leave the tires as they are and maybe do foams at least. They could use a firm inner ring inside the soft main parts, I think. Otherwise though? Great rig, for sure. Glad you're enjoying yours!
Nice looking rig with the suggestions you made and a little weight down low could be really good, Merry Christmas and happy New Year. thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the review, Craig! I have always liked the RGT line up, and am happy to see them still creating decent builds at the cheaper end of the market. On a side note, I feel that like this was supposed to be more like a "pro" version of the v2, and they got the build order wrong between this and the v3 haha Have a great Christmas and New Years!
Hm, it's interesting. This is nothing really like the V2 nor the V3. I guess they could have called it the 136100 v4 and that would have been OK too. But then, the V3 was called 136100 V3 RC4. Tell me that isn't confusing enough! Also, thank you and all the best to you too 🙏
I ordered one of these back on December 6th from AliExpress bound for Seattle. They now have pushed out the shipping to February 14! Great in depth review. I can’t wait to get mine! Please let us know if a smaller pinion is an option from the standard.
Furious RC Store appears to have stock, and they've added a new colour too! Shiny silver! Nothing stopping you getting a refund from the current one you bought and trying again from this store instead. a.aliexpress.com/_mtNxFlp Also, Atees has two colours in stock now. Shipping may be a bit higher but the item price itself is very good, so it may balance out for you - asiate.es/aff?l=237989&i=76070
Haha yes, I always want them to finish as many as they can. It isn't the point, but it also is... If that even makes any sense! I try as hard every time, so it's useful to us all anyway! Cheers
Your thoughts and 6 problems are now my benchmark for any RC. You've really started a great thing and I very much appreciate the fair & balanced comparison. It is a refreshing change to all the 'paid for' dribble from every other source! Keep doing what you're doing man, we all appreciate you! Also, merry Christmas & happy new year 🎊🎉🎆🌲🎁
We still run our 136100 often. Weighted beadlocks and Duratrax tires completely transformed it on the rocks. Never had a breakage except stock servo failed within minutes. That 380 motor is torquey too. Great budget truck! As for the Fusion Mini16 we have found that both of our have major throttle delay when going from null to full throttle. Even decel on release is delayed. Otherwise it's perfectly responsive at low speed and low throttle inputs. Seems very odd...
Now that's interesting. Punch is on max, assuming it can even be changed? Otherwise, I wonder if a different radio system might be worth trying. Glad you're happy, apart from that little niggle!
@RCTNT yeah I tried DumboRC then FlySky. No luck. Actually haven't checked to see if it is programmable. I installed them in our ECX Temper and UTB18. They crawl slower than a Furitek outrunner now. Very impressive!
I'd be interested in seeing a test of RGT's Challenger Pro - I'm loving it, while I appreciate that it's more of a trail truck than this one. Merry Xmas to thee!
Enjoying the heck out of your initial thoughts on the "warehouse"/container recently. I'm partial to blue, but thats a gorgeous color! 💙 For the price, it seems it's quite good for a bit of an affordable, but high performing rock climbing rig out of the box. It'd seem like it's similar or aimed to compete against Redcat's Ascent? I forgot if you got the chance to check that one out (the 1/10 one, that is). Have a Merry Christmas, my friend!🎄🥂
Obviously did the Fusion but never did the regular one. Way too expensive here. I paid USD$550 or so for the Redcat Ascent Fusion while this one cost me USD$262 or so. Easy choice, unfortunately for redcat in Australia! Merry Christmas to you too 🙏🎄
Not bad at all, done 4 problems, some more expensive trucks, can't even do 4, looking forward to your new Rgt pathfinder vid , I saw a vid, on one the other day, but it was jus of it trailing 👍👍👍
It really doesn't need much. Get a nice set of injora beadlock wheels and a Proline Trencher Class-1 4.19" tire and foam set and you'll be sorted. It's a great, lightweight, decent little rig! I have the 4107 here too, ready for the camera!
Hi Craig, have you tried problem 3 with 2S, i think if the wheels turned slower there would be more grip. Or what about the foc capability on 2S. Thanks for the video....well done.
FOC will work the same on 2S. Wheel speed isn't an issue for grip on 3s - it's more that it's generating needless heat as I force it to go slowly. Without FOC you'd have a point, as it would have been hard to control. But with FOC, I still had the wheels mostly doing what I wanted, except when I reversed a shade and it went too far - 2s may have helped there. But I don't think tire grip would have changed. I cold be wrong, but I am pretty sure.
Great video, I ended up getting one in pink it’s lovely. Would you kindly let me know if the fms mg11 tx would bind and work with the receiver in the shooter please? I like the tx that came with it apart from the plastic steering wheel. Thanks.
Thank you for that, appreciated. I was hopeful that it would work with them essentially both being flysky’s. I considered upgrading the steering wheel on the shooters tx, but with the mg11 not being too expensive if it works I’d go down that route.
@adamhawker3861 no worries. I should note it isn't a guarantee, as we're working outside the intended use and a simple small firmware change might stop it from working. But it does work now!
So if I were to buy the FlySky R6D-BS receiver, I could make my RGT LC71 Intruder brushless? If so, would I have to buy anything else other than a brushless motor?
Hm, probably the light system would need some work. Tell you what, I'll pop a Fusion and this receiver into mine as a video, that's a worthy subject. It won't be until late January sometime though. I can tell you it'll be enough to work just fine, lights aside.
@ that would be super cool if you could, thanks. I really like that standard transmitter the LC71 comes with so it would be nice to have brushless power but still keep that transmitter.
I think I'll stand by my debrief after the test, and agree with you on the servo. But tweaking the foams may be enough, especially once the stock tires have a chance to wear in a bit.
Is a cool rc whit great specs for the price range. RGT have some new Awesome rcs and deserve more attention in the rc Word! Thks my Friend for the Unboxing and Review ☃️🎅🦮👌🏻

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years from my family to yours! Thanks for everything you do and we will see you next year!

@RCTNT it is a fun little truck. Keep the awesome videos coming!
Yeah Craig great rundown and as a RGT fan this may be the next on me wishlist 🤙✨🤓
That jimny goes really well with the 1/16th hobbywing 2 in 1 in it
Ah, interesting. I bet it does! I have one of those here, too. Just need to replace the front right axle on the Jimny first!
@RCTNT it makes it Crawl pretty good as well
It'd definitely help. Needed slowing down
good to know, I switched the gearbox to bigger one with fusion SE and it is too slow and too hot, so I'll switch back to stock gearbox withi Mini16 :)
Merry xmas and happy new year! Great vid ofc!
Thank you, and to you

Every crawler you put through the problems I end up really routing for, especially the little underdogs! 😂

Thank you 😊 Though I think there's a place for all the various channels, TH-cam is a huge community and together we're better. Cheers!
Impressive crawling!
You always nail it Craig :)
Much obliged, thank you 😊
It looks quite good, although a bit too small maybe?
I am more curious about the new brushless Challenger...
Coming soon! Me too.
I like the size of this and I'm glad it exists. Different tires might be interesting.

the standalone R6D-BS receivers are available on aliexpress
Reeeeeaaally? Brb, I'm off to buy them ALL

I'm filming with it today, hopefully.
Merry christmas to you and your family. Have a great new year to you and all your family. KEEP WELL IN MIND AND BODY.😁😁😄
Working on it! Thank you, and to you
I'm looking to getting this rig what are the upgrade options would you recommend? Also the new Yikong YK4107 with a Nissan body is also tempting me 😂
It really doesn't need much. Get a nice set of injora beadlock wheels and a Proline Trencher Class-1 4.19" tire and foam set and you'll be sorted. It's a great, lightweight, decent little rig!
I have the 4107 here too, ready for the camera!
@ Can’t wait to see your take on the YK4107!
@darioson99 me neither, actually. It's a pretty well appointed thing.

Coming soon, it's just been delivered here so I'll get onto it shortly 👍
Great video, I ended up getting one in pink it’s lovely. Would you kindly let me know if the fms mg11 tx would bind and work with the receiver in the shooter please? I like the tx that came with it apart from the plastic steering wheel.
Thanks.
I took a while to reply because I had to get time to try this. You need a bind plug on the end pins hit it works, yep
Metal axles are helpful for weight doen low. Nice 👍
Totally agree! It definitely needs the weight down low.
Oh happy Xmas & merry New year, lol 😁😁😁
And to you, my friend
How close is this in size to an Enduro12? I've been interested in these guys for a bit & actually really like RGT!!
I really don't know, sorry. This is a legit SWB 1/10 crawler so it's probably bigger than the Enduro12, but I've never seen one of those before.
@@RCTNT No Problem!!
So if I were to buy the FlySky R6D-BS receiver, I could make my RGT LC71 Intruder brushless? If so, would I have to buy anything else other than a brushless motor?

@ that would be super cool if you could, thanks. I really like that standard transmitter the LC71 comes with so it would be nice to have brushless power but still keep that transmitter.
looks like it may need just better tires and front knuckle weights. And servo when the stock one burns out :D
I think I'll stand by my debrief after the test, and agree with you on the servo. But tweaking the foams may be enough, especially once the stock tires have a chance to wear in a bit.
can i put Injora d90 Body to this kit?
Wheelbase would be close (check it with specs for both) but the suspension may not be up to it. Firmer springs may be needed at least.
That metal skid p...s me off soo much!
Lol it's not ideal but it's not the end of the world. But yes, plastic or similar would have been so much better!
There are many things to like about it the price was not one of them.
I got it for USD$262, I thought that was pretty good.
Selamat malam
And if I don't see you later, good afternoon, good evening and goodnight 🙃
Less expensive? $549 US is absolutely ridiculous.
I got it for USD$262, from AliExpress, including shipping and tax. I thought it was pretty good value.
Where on earth is it that expensive?
Is a cool rc whit great specs for the price range. RGT have some new Awesome rcs and deserve more attention in the rc Word!
Thks my Friend for the Unboxing and Review ☃️🎅🦮👌🏻
You got it! This one is quite special
You're welcome my Friend ❤
Cheers 🇵🇹
