Who was they dissing in this cypher?
V KINGS at an interview there was a guy named bfree who was talking about how they're girls for wearing makeup and dissing them for becoming idols who were underground rappers. Rm and SUGA were at the interview.

V KINGS I believe it was towards Bfree and some underground rappers who accused RM and Suga of being sellouts of the underground rap community for becoming idols and haters who said they weren’t Hiphop, since they were in a boy group.
when BTS debuted they had a lot of negative prejudice surrounding them (hence the beginning with supreme boi) -- they were from a small company and really nobody thought they had it in them to become big names in the kpop industry. This cypher is for breaking that prejudice surrounding them and to announce to the kpop industry that they aren't here to play and that they do have raw talent that is bigger than most kpop artists. -- and of course the bfree incident *fun fact: bfree's mv has 21k dislikes because of it*

Maya Soughi a while back they had an interview with Bfree who basically dissed Namjoon and yoongi for wearing make up saying they’re girls. I’m pretty sure he also told them that they aren’t real rappers because they’re in a kpop group. Namjoon and yoongi didn’t really say anything back because I guess they were shocked but then later on made the cypher series dedicated to him (and haters) none of the other members were there nor was Hoseok that’s why it’s mostly Namjoon and yoongi rapping because Bfree said it to their faces
btw this cypher is aimed at a rapper named B Free who dissed RM and Suga during an interview.. and RM and Suga was both present so B Free basically dissed them in front of their faces, that’s why RM and Suga is mainly rapping :)
While I don't like that he dissed them, at least it was to their faces and not behind their backs, or while they weren't present. That being said, ANY prerformer that gets up on the stage will have makeup done. That is just show business. Hell I bet even Enimem and other American rappers get makeup done.

You interpreted this line wrong.
In the first sentence, Suga was just calling the person's rap very thin, basically calling it a weak rap .Then, the next sentence with the parents starts. Suga is just saying that the haters' parents are disappointed in their child. So, like their parents, Suga's heart hurts when he sees this person.
Suga was not saying that their parents were starving.

and it's not the first time he mentioned feeling sorry for those 'rappers' parents coz their sons are disappointing. Take a look in AgustD and Mic Drop lyrics. Both songs have Suga telling off these posers that he'll stand in their disappointing way to make up for their loss
Suga didnt say "thin like your parents" he finished that line and was starting a new one by saying "Like your parents, my heart aches every time I see you..." He wasn't disrespecting the parents

B-Free was a rapper who openly insulted RM and Suga in an interview with them. He's not the only one though, plenty of rappers insult idols or BTS rappers in particular, because they started out underground.
-He accused them of plagiarizing another album, without even listening to their music (as he admitted)
-He implied that they were acting gay because of how they dressed and wore makeup
-He said that they were acting like girls and had become girls' icons
-He said that their music was "betraying" the masculine culture in hip hop and was fake as a result
-He acted as though they had "fallen to temptation" or "betrayed" their friends by giving up being underground rappers and becoming idols
-He later apologized for everything, then immediately took it back by posting about how he'd "bitch slap BTS" if he ever saw them again
At the time RM and Suga had to be polite and civil, this is probably their way of showing how they truly feel lmao. This isn't just at B-Free, it's at all their haters.
His career ended the day he insulted them. Literally the most he'll ever achieve in life, the only thing he'll ever be known for is that one time he inspired the BTS rap line to work harder and do better to prove him wrong. Thanks B-Free.
Hi Im a korean army. Before you react to the videos introducing the members, I just want you to know that korean culture is different from some western cultures. BTS members are really close brothers and they hug each other, feed each other, hold hands, have fun together, etc. There's nothing "gay" about it as how some westerners may imply/think. It's totally normal here. They really have a good brotherhood & like a family. They depend on each other a lot because they've been through so much since debut (with all the prejudices, accusations, people looking down on them etc.). That's all^^
C Bea yes i wanted to comment this too. The cultural differences. Im not Korean but in my country its similar. The boys are so close & they can hold hands, its not seen as “gay” or “unsual” but when tourists come, they always get shocked lol. I go to college in another country & the first time i came to this country, i found it so weird how boys reacted when another guy tries to hug them. Lol. Im like.. “isnt it just brotherhood?”.. anyways, i hope they know when we do ships in the fandom, its just something we do between ourselves for fun & arent actually serious about it.

But you cld also translate it as Bulletproof Boy(band/group) because the chinese character for "dan" in Sonyeondan 団 stands for "body; group; party; company; troupe".
"Sonyeon" is a word for Boy in Korean :)

And the reason we know that is because there's a line that says go back to Hawaii and Bfree, from what I know, was born in Honolulu. I know rappers have beef, it's normal, but he was being unnecessarily rude. They were really civil and polite though because he's their elder but then came out with this and destroyed him lol

An interesting fact: The song Cypher 2: Tryptich means: Second Triptych Cipher. Trtptich an art that unites 3 parts that together form another image. The three parts are Suga, RM and J-Hope, and the image that is formed is B-Free since the music is aimed at him. This song was made because B-Free said that BTS rapers don't know how to rap fast, besides that he made fun of BTS 'Hip Hop style, saying "BTS is not a real Hip Hop group", then he said that BTS was the worst kpop group of that generation (that was 5/4 years ago) and even said that BTS wore makeup and made fun of them because of that saying that "makeup is only for girls" (very macho that; -; I use it sometimes and I'm a man; -;) and to make matters worse, he said BTS would never grow up, I doubt he would say that today. And that’s why Suga’s part is so fast. There is a part in the song that says "Go back to Hawaii, go home" This means that Suga told B-Free to give up rapping and go home, since B-Free is Hawaiian. In the same year as the release of Cypher 2, Suga said "B-Free said I don't know how to rap quickly, this applies to the other rappers on Bangtan Boys. He said that because he didn't want to demean himself in that interview. But one thing that he forgot, is that we don’t care what he said. But it took a very large proportion, so it took my patience, so I wanted to show him that he was completely wrong. So I did a quick rap so he can bite his own tongue. And now B-Free?
