I’ve noticed that RM has a really unique flow where he’ll spit really fast and then in the middle of a bar he’ll drag out a word to finish it and then go right back into the fast tempo lyrics. Joke is a really good example of this.

RM has a good flow and he’s so good at word play..
Jhope is good at keeping his voice stable and his ad libs..
While Suga is good at playing his voice(dynamics) and so good at spitting bars. Well, actually all of them is good at spitting bars but we all know Suga is like a damn god when dissing. RM is so freaking fine with his creativeness in words. Jhope is so amazing with vocal plays..💜💜💜

Lo yeah!! i remember watching this video for the first time and i was SO heated. i think it really affected their lyrics for songs after that. they started emphasizing the fact that they might be “idol rappers” (whatever that means), but that doesn’t mean that they’re any less of rappers. they reach people on a much larger platform then underground rappers do anyway 🤷🏽♀️

Cypher 2 is my favorite because the whole rap line brought their flow, plus the beat switches, this one is so gritty... Cypher 4 is the most catchy, Cypher 2 is the most raw.
I loooove Cypher pt.4 BUT Cypher pt.2 is just up there for me. It gets me so damn hype, especially RM’s verse. His flow and switch up between Korean and English is just Godly.

Cypher 2 is forever my number one! It was a direct hit on B-Free for disrespecting them when they couldn’t defend themselves. They all came for blood and my sweet, baby Yoongi came to the party with an iconic verse. Cypher 1 is fine. It’s honestly just a Cypher kind of in name only and on 90% of people’s lists, it’s last. No disrespect, it was just the first one and they were getting their feet wet, so to speak.

FINALLY!! And this one you should definitely check out a live version when you get a chance. This one is my favorite. Its the most like a traditional cypher. I do love cypher pt 4 for being a full-blown song and J-Hope came into his own fully as a rapper on that one. But Suga's verse is the best in this one. Regarding RM's name, say what you want but realize some fans are defensive about it because he has expressed several times over the years how much he either dislikes or was embarrassed by the name Rap Monster. He didn't really choose it on his own and just kinda went with it when bighit staff suggested it. But the members themselves still slip and have to correct themselves its so new. I just try to remember to say RM to get into the habit. Lastly, Hallyu is the spread of Korean culture to the rest of the world, hence the hallyu wave phrase you'll see a lot.

I think RM should only be referred to as RM regardless of what era your talking about. Hallyu is the word to describe the "Korean Wave" or the spread of Korean music to other countries and cultures and it's growing popularity. :)
