So refreshing to see a creator showing a realistic scenario that happens to me about 3 in 4 times playing these settings. It gets boring only seeing snowballs. Keep it real VC!
Me (noticing that the video is 20 minutes long): Time to settle back and watch my dear personal friend, Vampire Chicken, win a very satisfying snowball victory on the so-called "meta" settings.
I'm sure red and pink are just soulmates. Who doesn't know the perfect novice - Master teamwork with 100% Trust from turn 1? Not a single bonus broken, no regard for securing kills. Happens all the time.
@@vampirechicken that’s why I don’t do the meta settings on Europe. I’ve been doing lunar mining facility and every game has been really fun! Hope that Medieval fair was enjoyable.
99%. I've had a single case with a more blatant (i.e. 100%) collab, curiously the slammer was also red, he slammed my cap about 5-6 times, because it was fixed and it defended like god ;-)
@@AtomicAndi yeah I’ve definitely played some games with alliances and had an ally that was a ride or die homie noob. I guarantee the other players were reporting us but I just had a noob doing my dirty work. I kept my end of the deal and dragged him to second place behind me.
It was amazing! I didn't get to dress up but the kids got to ride horses, watch a joisting event, ride some fun rides, watch some silly shows, ect. A very good time!
LOL IM 3 hours late! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I WONDER how tryhard your opponents will be this video. I’m starting to watch it now… hope your opponents weren’t too try hard bro.
About your question how people play these successfully: Pete's three rules are a good start "Don't cap in Iceland"! 😂 But yeah, this game was rigged. What helps me most, is to use a cap to secure or at least claim any bonus. Don't fight to much the first three turns and get a feeling for the board, then use your strategies to dominate the board and have an interesting game (as you're basically my main teacher of risk).
You honestly didn't have much better cap choices anyways. I suppose you could have 1-point held west africa which would have slowed red down a little, but it was dicey regardless.
You play badly and then blame the meta settings, there are no good neighbors, if you don't want your bonus to be broken, PUT YOUR CAPITAL IN THE BONUS and this way you can threaten retaliation so that people don't want to attack you

Red is pink’s secondary account
I had three games in a row last month that all felt a little fishy so this is basically every meta game I've ever played at this point

@Suncoast_Samurai personally, it's my favorite map, and it was good enough to get me to gm. I struggle more on other maps

Played those 2 twice before, kinda lame that pink feels like he has to cheat to pretend to be good at the game 😂
The same names? Damn, hope you reported them.. Hate people playing like that
Yeah, definitely should have reported red and pink. Blatant. Down to the discrepancy of ranks but same speed and skill

Proving Pete wrong one Iceland cap at a time.
snap picking the capital in the noob corner is such a chad move
Well, I hope pink is happy with himself. Just do chess gambit mondays and leave the Meta settings to the noobs and cheaters
Insta Iceland lol, I barely even noticed you picked a cap
16:00 isn't this the flag of the Czech Republic right there in Iceland?!
haha someone else noticed!
I'm excited for the Renaissance Faire report!

These are the kinds of games that made me decide to just play bots. So many online multiplayer video games are this way.
I vote for cancelling the remainder of the season of Meta Monday
Link to any video where Vampire Chicken plays Pete? I’m curious to see VC roasted 😉
Ah yes the other iclandic gambit
thanks for showing :)
2:59 sounds like you've done this before to me.
Speaking and thinking (e.g. picking a cap) at the same time IS difficult. Speaking from experience.
Welcome back to my weekly struggle to not cap in Iceland. Stay turned to see if I can cap literally anywhere else next week...
This game is a troll, right? Why would you ever seriously choose to cap there?
Plz stop playing angry monday 😢
I want U to have fun.
agreed

Oh yeah... I probably would have gone for the honeypot if I saw it but honestly I saw my favorite cap and muscle memory took over 🤣
What do you mean? VC had Savastopol!
@@vampirechicken I can't fault you for that. If you weren't in first position you would have had a little time to analyse the blizzards.

Good morning!
First cap!
lol there’s only one outcome to an 18-minute video. It’s not a snowball, it’s an avalanche!

Pretty poor game but with great commentary. You should go to the fair as a peasant who is trying to sell off his wife.
This strategy would NOT work against 5 grandmasters. Therefore it is a bad strategy in public lobbies.

Did the pink player who cheated actually come in here with a pink label on his youtube account to talk smack?
Pink and red were very good neighbours, suspiciously good neighbours. They are perfect soulmates, truly a single heart beating in 2 accounts.
To upload such a bad game, it would be better if you hadn't published anything.
the pink player who cheated is here to complain about being exposed on youtube lmao
