I have never had an ult group, in my 12 years in kpop before but let me tell you, ATEEZ has me so whipped that they were one of the groups I considered for an ult. I just love them so much. Actually Mingi was on hiatus for about 8 months because he was struggling with anxiety. The M/V for Fireworks was filmed during that time which is why you didn't see him in there (correct me if I'm wrong, I'm fairly new myself)

Hala Hala is one of those songs that you NEED to watch the MV, live stage, and dance practice to take it all in lol a lot is going on and getting all of those different angles helps see it all. it’s an iconic song for ATEEZ/Atiny. definitely check them out in your own time 😄

At least half of those SMN views are mine and I never picked up that part where San’s running into formation at the start 😂 also sad to hear about the tickets! KQ actually revealed they had over 54k people in line for tickets to a 12k capacity venue in London 😭 I’m sure KQ realises how big the boys have gotten and will have a second bigger tour later in 2022, I’m prayingggg.

Good job on picking up bits of the storyline. I had to watch Bookish Theories MV explanations to understand everything. I recommend her breakdown of Dejavu since there is a connection to Say My Name that blew my mind.
Bookish theories is definitely my go-to for her Ateez theories, also '김일오 15kim' but even though her first few videos were even acknowledged by KQ ent and her explanation is amazing, she doesn't seem to be digging further into the Ateez universe

It's funny how you said the beginning of *"Say My Name"* kinda sounds like *"Deja Vu"* because in *"Deja Vu" MV, Hongjoong* had the same outfit (the black outfit with the hats) like the one in *"Say My Name" MV* and was in the box like what *Yeosang* was in, in the *"Say My Name" MV* this is why I *STAN ATEEZ* they are so clever and I love their *Pirate* concept/ storyline

It doesn't matter if you're invested even in a short period of time. It just means that they speak to you as artists and that's GREAT! We are always welcoming new Atiny onto our pirate ship or into our circus, whatever applies. You should get a Lightiny (the "flashlight). It's really nice and then when you do go to a concert, you'll have one to bring.

One thing they've done, which is amazing, is that each comeback they've released 2 official mv's. The parallel worlds storyline (Ateez and "Halateez") is so consistent and well carried through their discography, but doesn't override the quality of the songs. "No skip album" kings.
So sorry to hear about the ticket situation. I am going to the L.A. show. I bought tickets two years ago that never happened due to the Cov. Ticketmaster and KQ are honoring those tickets, for those of us who did not ask for a refund, severely lowering the number of tickets available.

Toward the end of the chapter the TREASURE they were looking for is FANS’ LOVE not money or fame, like Hongjoong said in SAY MY NAME video “I Wanna Be Loved ... There is a big storyline going in every mv it’s big enough that every little detail that no one would pay attention to is linked in someway. Even their hair colour and clothing goes according to the story. There is a video explaining every detail about the colours in the videos if you want to know more

I recommend watching the HalaHala MV. Not as a reaction but I think you missed something special in not watching it. And I do understand why you mix up MV's with dance practices and live performances. The HalaHala dance practice is also worth watching too.

Hey, I love your reactions so much! So yes, there is a guide video for Ateez which is well done and pretty popular, but I'm afraid the original one you may not find, as it was taken down, but was uploaded again in another Reacts channel as a request when I find it I'll link it. Also, there are many good explaining videos to their storyline. Although, Atinys like us are not completely sure of what their story to MVs and albums actually are but looking through some theories in videos you might get a brief idea about their storyline. Also, yes, they have many reality shows. You can look into some of their popular ones available on TH-cam. Best of Luck! We would love to see your reaction to those!

@@Yetti. Thank you for reacting, I love how you analyse almost the accurate interpretation to what their lyrics mean everytime. The entire atinydom is under whiplash of their duality. Also someone here mentioned about Wooyoung AOTM, I would also highly recommend. Studio Choom took an initiative this year, which is to highlight a solo performance of an idol from any boy and girl group. They perform to a song of an international artist. The Artist of the Month (AOTM) changes every month. And so far there has been performances of Ryunjin, Hyunjin, Yeonjun, Juyeon, Chaeryeong, Yeji, Wooyoung, Lee Chae Yeon, Soojin, Sin B, U-Know and a lot more coming in the future.
I would like to point out, Wooyoung is the first 4th Gen male idol to be invited to have his own AOTM. And let me say this, being the first 4th gen male AOTM, he just set the bar of standard very high for the others. He was breath-taking.
Also if you do checkout Stray Kids Hyunjin AOTM, I would recommend you watch his Criminal by Taemin Cover, Billie Eilish- when the party is over cover and Play with fire-Sam Tinnesz cover too. He was outstanding there as well.
But also Studio Choom has versions of various covers, performances, comebacks and MVs of particular groups (Ateez, SKZ, ITZY, TXT etc.), idols (Taemin, Kai as example) and performers (We Lit). And the Ateez ones there is NO JOKE, you can actually see their demonic expressions up close. They just snap so hard while performing. I just love them!

Regarding variety shows, Fever Road is a great show that’s available on Ateez’s TH-cam channel; there’s also Salary Lupin which is more recent and it’s on the M2 channel. Thanks for the reaction!
I love you getting into their music and the story, though when it comes to ATEEZ you can take the storyline much more literally and not just metaphorically! Of course there is lots of symbolism but also lots of what you see is literally what it is (more of this in the spoiler section at the end of my comment). The Diary versions of their Fever era albums have booklets (like short stories) about the story, without reading those it's very hard to piece it together.
Also the story of the Fever era (so Inception, Thanxx, Diary Film, Fireworks, Deja Vu and Eternal Sunshine) is actually a prequel to the Treasure era (so MV's from debut Pirate King to Answer, which was the last MV of this era). So it's easy to get the timeline of the story confused.
It is very fun to piece the story together, though now there's a lot we do actually know about it for certain thanks to the Diary booklets that confirmed a lot their MV's and some live stages have shown, there is of course always more questions of where their story is going!
Currently the best guide out there is "A helpful guide to stanning ATEEZ by ETINI" though it is over a year old so it doesn't cover the newest stuff like Kingdom & Mingi's hiatus.
As for variety shows, I recommend their older ones like The Treasure Film (3 ep 60min long, TH-cam) and ATEEZ Wanted (8ep 15-20min long, TH-cam).
Mainly because Fever Road (which is probably recommended a lots) has quite a bit storyline in it, so if you aren't up to date with the story there is a lot that will fly over your head. Also Salary Lupin from earlier this year is amazing but it was filmed during Mingi's hiatus so he isn't in it. But of course check out what feels like the best option for you^^
*SPOILERS*
If you do want a summary of the storyline:
ATEEZ and halateez aka the version of them in black outfits are two different versions of same people - but not metaphorically but as in from different dimensions. Basically halateez aka Black Pirates as they are known in their own dimension are living in a dystopian world which is ruled by a totalitarian government that has forbidden all arts, music included (so basically no emotions or self expression, just workforce) and halateez are freedom fighters trying to overthrow said government. The government has send androids, White Giants, the white suited masked person you saw on Answer & Fireworks, to hunt them down. (yeah it's always white suit but due the red light it seems red in Fireworks etc.)
And well "ATEEZ" are just a misfit group of friends united with their love for music (and each of them having their own struggles in life) until they get their hands on the hourglass (you saw it in Deja Vu) called Cromer which can be used to send messages through dreams or travel through dimensions. And so they end up joining forces with halateez, as you can see in Answer.
And there's so much more to it buuut the story is not even halfway finished (according to the members) so there are still many things we dont fully know yet. Like the exact meaning/function of those blue butterflies or how Eternal Sunshine fits to the storyline.

U can note that their hairstyles in Fireworks are the same of Imitation, was filmed during that time also during Kingdom, they were so busy!!! U can't see Mingi in the mv cause he was in hiatus due to health reasons but we can still hear Mingi rap in the radio because they pre-recorded Fireworks vocals long time ago but not the mv, that is why atinys always say that Ateez maybe have all their discography recorded cause they always do that, to debut they had hala-hala, Say my name, Treasure and Pirate King recorded but they decided to debut with Pirate King and Treasure because atinys liked Pirate King, they also did the same with Answer, there's a video of Ateez recording Answer during their debut days🤣😅
they have A LOT of reality content, I would suggest Treasure Film as your first one since it’s only 3 ep’s. there is also ATEEZ Wanted, Salary Lupin, KQ Fellaz (pre-debut), Hello82 challenge, Fever Road, Long Journey (4 eps), and Code Name is ATEEZ, they also have a few short reality content with that new Universe app but you have plenty to watch before it!
I can barely choose groups I consider as ults, every group has something but the only group beside Stray Kids that I literally fell for so hard is Ateez, like stan talent!

These lyrics "In the desert with nothing" are literal not just metaphorical. Pirate King was a performance debut video filmed in Morocco in the desert, as is 'Treasure'. This is because KQ was so small they had to come up with two MVs on a tight budget. In the Treasure vid you can see a tourist behind them. This was - and I am not 100% sure on this but I am pretty confident - because the agency decided to send them to LA for dance training instead of high budget MVs. It paid off for sure!
If you watch more ateez real life content you will definitely continue to get the sense that wooyoung and san have a special relationship!! They're very closee
Seonghwa never fails to steal my eye
SAN’s name is pronounced like the a in “wand” not like the a in “sand”. I’ve noticed a lot of people from the UK pronounce his name like Sand. Signed a Korean.
@vbiasland even so this is the correct way to pronounce it as written in Korean. I would think fans of Korean artists would want to know how to pronounce their names properly if possible. And SAN’s name isn’t hard to pronounce properly. His name means mountain in Korean. My biggest peeve is how so many people mispronounce Jung Kook’s name. It’s not pronounced “kook” or “cook” but rather Gook (rhymes with spook). If u listen carefully during run bts you’ll hear the other members saying Jung Gook-ah. (Ah is ending Korean use for names ending in a consonant.

Also Wooyu seems to be like a villain in the storyline like in the scene of Deja vu they put a Dahlia flower next to him Which one the what the flower means is "betrayal". We see evrybody dead in the end of HALA HALA except for WOO. 33:22 He was the one that set up fire in fireworks. He is the one that has matches and lit them in the illusion MV too

Ateez are the top performers in the industry imho. They always give their everything, even in the dance practices where some groups just dance the choreo, they PERFORM it. They have an incredible rapline, they all are amazing dancers and they have the best 4th gen vocalist (apart from the SM vocalists of course)

We call the black fedora guys Hala-teez (due hala-hala mv + Ateez), they are Ateez in another dimension. Hala-teez are anarchist who fight against goverment who banned arts and any kind of emotions, in *Deja vu mv* Hala-teez got caught by the goverment's army(masked man) so they called Ateez to that place to help them in their fight against the androids and gave them The Chromer(hourglass, allow them to travel into dimensions) but when Ateez were trying to go back to their dimension Yeosang broke the Chromer and get caught, at the end of Deja vu mv u can see Hongjoong trying to reach Yeosang hand but failed(explained in Fever pt3 diary album). *Say my name* came a little after Deja vu in storyline, seems like Ateez were gathering toguether as a team, like they were making plans to fight, i'm not sure, but Yeosang wasn't there, Yeosang is in the box cause he got caught, in the same box we can see Hala-Hongjoong in Deja Vu
Yeosang was rescue in *Answer mv* like they showed us in Answer : Ode to Joy in Kingdom, in that performance they basically explain what happened after Deja Vu and Say my name

Their name is pronounced ayteez (like the letter A plus tease: he is A tease). Do not be led astray by the people saying it sounds like 80's. It doesn't. 80's has a soft t/almost d instead of a hard t and isn't evenly accented (Korean is technically an unstressed language).

all ateez title track are connected even Eternal Sunshine, they have a big universe. and without dayries/notes you`ll not understand it at all trust me🤣dayries/notes are added to albums. pirate concept is about their early eras, now it`s more steampunk or futuristic utopia. universe includes different dimensions (or multyverses), even alien creatures etc.

Well since I forgot I lost both official notes (thoughts) on Say My Name, HALA HALA and FIREWORKS, I haven’t yet put together my notes about “Eternal SunShine” yet but here is my short views on their “Say My Name” and “ANSWER” ....
ATEEZ “SAY MY NAME” - During the making of “say my name” and their own reaction they confirm it’s a prequel to their “Pirate King” which is a country-style EDM trap music concept said by Hongjoong. “Say My Name” is a title song to their 2nd album along with “HALA HALA” but is the official title track. Also, “Pirate King” is their official debut title track that leads into their second title song “Treasure” on their first album which they filmed both in Morocco.
ATEEZ “ANSWER” - Many fans have their own thoughts & theories but their title song “Answer” of the latest album ‘Treasure Epilogue: Action to Answer’ brings exquisite combo of EDM and hip hop with a fast-changing tempo which reminds me of ATEEZ that has been in the search of “Treasure.” Ever since their debut & group concept, it fully reminds of EXO concept except ATEEZ aren’t aliens but have dark-egos which is somewhat like EXO vs X-EXO in my opinion, i’m not saying they copied anyone I was just expressing similarities; I’m super excited about their 6th album i’ve been waiting for it to come out. *I watching a couple times I noticed the blankets, clock, fake Mingi dies, mirror, butterfly and alice in wonderland table they sit at across from their alter-egos from Say My Name/HALA HALA (ATEEZ vs HALATEEZ)* 🤯 I am sure I’m not the only one who thinks this but If you look back on EXO concept you would see EXO fighting with red force and they get captured during their Monster/Lotto/Lucky One era where they got experimented on and where the red force started the cloning, which is where X-EXO was created long before ATEEZ revealed their alter-egos; if i’m not mistaken the cut scenes are HONGJOONG. #AtoZ #ATEEZ #ANSWER

About the concert tickets. There are some still available via resell. The prices are ridiculous right now BUT if you keep checking the site daily, closer to the concert date, those prices will drop dramatically so you still might be able to snag a ticket!

I had already had my VIP tickets from the postponed tour fortunately. I feel bad for everyone who didn't get tickets since it was basically for ppl who had already had tickets.

Hey! Sorry for the huge comment coming up, but this is answering some of the questions you asked. First thing, All of their music videos are connected. From debut to now. The order may seem a bit off that's why its good to watch it multiple times after enjoying it, to getting into the lyrics, to even the choreo. Say My Name is them basically announcing who they are as they grew bigger like "A to the Z" if you say it fast enough it sounds like you are say Ateez. Also at the end when the lights were flashing showing both the boys in their regular outfits to the dark outfits, was the Halateez taking over which helped move the story along into Hala Hala as to why they were still wearing the same outfit. The guys in the black outfit are like the dark version of themselves, also knows as Halateez, or as stated in Hala Hala, Suicided Squad. Also Hearts Awakened, Live Alive that is apart of the Hala Hala title is the meaning of Hala Hala. (H.A.L.A), also when you pointed out San in Hala Hala all of his live performances of this song are just amazing because he completely transform, people call that Demon San, mainly because of the smirk he does and the way his eyes shift. Also in one performance of this song, San actually broke his mike he was dancing so hard. Moving on to the mysterious guy, he was always in white it was just the lighting around him. He is after Ateez because in Fireworks, the boys are in a wasteland where their are no other humans, but human emotions is also known to be illegal. As for Answer, that them basically teaming up with Halateez because it is apart of who they are and them accepting it rather then running away from it. But looking at each concept of each song, one song belongs to Ateez, and the other song is for Halateez because of the concept. In Firework, the reason you don't see Mingi is because this comeback was during kingdom, and Mingi was on hiatus for mental reasons due to his anxiety being really bad. That's why his voice was on the radio. Then in Eternal Sunshine, if you noticed Jongho wasn't in any of the dance scenes. That is because during the shooting Eternal Sunshine and Deja vu, Jongho was injured and couldn't dance. But now he is better so if you would like to see him perform the song with the boys, the live performances are amazing. But every title track, or better you a song with a music video, is connected, they also gave off hints about upcoming songs, at the end. There are many links that are good to watch when wanting to get to know more about Ateez, (ill add them to the comment once I find all of them) Also, when you pointed out the choreo in Say My Name, fun fact, they learned it through video because they were back in Korea when shooting the video because they guy who made the dance is a dancer and choreographer from LA. Also, the "fix on" that Mingi says, he said in a video that he came up with saying that to get people into the song for when he gets ready to do his part of the song, and the same thing for Hongjoong with his giggle.
