This is a really beautiful channel, thank you for making it. I know I’m one of many thousands of people who are inadvertently exhausting all the (massive) back catalog of Norm talking, especially since he passed. This adds more from his words - thank you
When I first read this twitter thread a couple of months ago I was haunted by the notion of "typists" and "stenographers". I am a songwriter myself, it's been my way of life and the name I have defined myself with. The idea that those 136 songs and countless other poems I've written over the past few years are no more than stenography is terrifying. How do we know what is "real" writing and what isn't? Leave it to Dylan to throw another mystery into our world of numb certainty.
@@sviborgamulin3929 I think he means that most writers arent absorbed in the craft and art of writing itself, but tend to just repeat things they've heard. Stenographers just transcribe court proceedings.
How apt that Norm's favorite is Job. After so many tribulations in his life, Norm surely identified with Job. I hope Norm was rewarded even if Job wasn't.
"His words seem chosen long ago". Norm was great...
"A baby seal's skull is as thin as a shadow" from Based on a True Story sticks in my mind.
And every one of them words rang true and glowed like burning coal pouring off of every page like it was written in my soul...
Wow, I totally requested this and here it is! thanks for doing this man!
Bob Dylan through Norm MacDonald's eyes beautiful.
Don't be a typist and don't expect a reward and don't miss Bob Dylan when he comes to town.

Well said.
u are evil
I'm staying alive for the sole reason that one day Alexa will offer a Norm Macdonald voice option...

Maybe he means that the best writing is writing the way you speak. Speak well = write well?

Holy shit this A.I. is getting pretty insane.

His writing on twitter was special.
Beautiful. But I can't help but wonder if this is brilliant Norm Macdonald fiction? I want to believe it really happened, but maybe it doesn't matter.
Just watched his special. I thought about an a.i. voice of his some time ago. Seems fitting I found it after today. Thank you.
Even long passages seem seamless
Thank you so much for doing this to his tweets
This is the one conversation I so wish I could’ve heard. My two favorites
You're kidding me.....I love you. This is perfect. I love learning about my heros, especially when I learn they've met.....
Now this was pure gold.. definitely a journeyman trapped in a comedy.
RINGO!
What a wonderful channel to have found. Thank you for this.
btw the AI voice is taken from his narration of his audio-book
Thank you for doing this one! Was waiting for it egerly
That’s funny I just learned Billy Joe Schafer played toad
This was a piece of magic!
What if I told you Bob Dylan was speaking as a devils advocate and on this day met a modern day apostle named norm..
I do believe Bob Dylan sold his soul
This A.I.'s cadence reminds me of his brother Neil MacDonald from CBC
It's obviously Norm's voice when he was very sick
Job was unrewarded at the end. Like most jobs in America.
A f****** awesome circle of respect, to complete it I must now check out Billy Joe Schaefer
Billy Joe Shaver! Peace and love ❤️
Billy Joe is so good give his music a listen
You know, this never happened. Norm MacDonald is typing. And you don't get fooled by typists.
This is awesome.
Wow. This is crazy.
Thanks
So my guess is he never actually met Bob Dylan.
I already did that one!
Wow sweet thanks
AI is crazy great. But is it progress?
Norm read One Piece?
wow. can you change his pronounciation of job or not yet
When did he read his tweets?
It's AI that uses his audiobook as a training model, I'm surprised how convincing it is on the whole
@@rees4232 crazy.. thank you pal
