  • Hey guys i recently installed some 17t ViV 6x6 turbos onto my 2009 135i. I thought i would share with you guys my experience doing it. Im looking to make around 600 hp with these but i still need a few more supporting mods. This is going to be cut into a few videos because the video would be too long but this is the last half.

    Then you herd wrong if you planning on pushing anything over 500 + outlest & inlets is a must!! Great job

    The loudness of your turbos also depends on how aggressive your timing is, my stock ones had a fairly tame spool/whistle and once I went custom tune and tuned for 100ron the tuner upped the timing and the turbos became way louder

    can i install them with the stock intercooler intakes basically everything is stock if yes how much power will i get if i run it on low boost (safe boost)

    ECS tuning did the same thing to me with the turbo clamps!! Too small!!

    I really dig your videos! Thank you! I want to ad though that those down pipe clamps aren't rusty. That's the color they are from new. They are (or were lol) perfectly fine to reuse. Oh well. I don't really expect or am wanting any more sound from the turbos but I'm wondering How Much Power are you making with them? Even on a MHD OTS tune? Are you running E85? I guess I'll check out a few more of your videos and see if you let us know. Thanks again!

    hey bro nice video. just a quick question, does clutch and turbo replacement labor overlap? does it make sense to do one without the other?

    Did you adjust wastegates arms before install ? and how the turbo are performing since ?

      I was going to adjust them but they came within specs so I didn’t adjust them. 30k miles later front turbo is leaking will take out one of these days and make update video

    Heya, good content just subscribed! I noticed you're running 6mt, how is the clutch holding up? Oem unit? Have you had it tuned yet?

      I recently replaced the clutch to the 550i clutch and Single mass Flywheel. Because it was slipping at about 20 psi. And I just flashed the MHD v5 map e40. Almost done breaking in the clutch to see how it holds up

    Hey how do you get a custom tune because rn I have MHD 2+ because I Want to get upgraded turbo and keep up the good work

      you can get a custom tune through mhd. just need a custom tuner who will work remotely with mhd and you send them logs

      Can I put on these turbos without a custom tune? Just with MHD stage 2?

      I installed my 17t 6by6 and im only hitting 6 psi with a 30ff code

    Did you unbolt the sway bar or rack to get the subframe that low?

      Yeah just the 4 nuts to let the sway bar hang

    how did you just drop the subframe without removing it completely

      Brace the engine from above so it can't fall. Then you remove the motor mount bolts to subframe, also unbolt the 6 subframe bolts holding to the car body. Let the subframe hang from the suspension, it won't go anywhere because the coils and struts are holding it to the car along with the control arms. Just be careful about the steering rack and lines. My car is an xdrive so it may vary a bit, but if I can do it on my car, rwd must be a breeze.

      They are good so far about 5k miles. Recently replaced clutch because it was slipping from the extra power

    Not sure what made you thin k this setup will do 600hp, but it won't.
    I have been through 2 sets of these turbos. Even at 24 PSI and E40, with inlets, outlets new index 12's etc etc etc they managed 444whp.
    If you want big power you're going to need WMI or PI, upgrading the LPFP alone is just not enough - there is simply no way the stock direct injection system can support 600 brake. not a chance.

      Well SWAP DEPOT MADE 568WHP on these turbos pretty much with a stock fuel pump,OTS MAP, and stock fuel pump and FBO. 🤔 So something is not adding up 😂go check out the video

      @@menjicar I am aware of Ali’s video. I don’t buy it, i reckon they had a bad dyno config. Their slow dragy’s also back that up

      @@n54supreme I didn’t balance them. I installed them straight out of the box 😅. It’s my daily.. however I’ve only had it on MHD Stage 2+ e50 flash. Which is about 20 or 18psi of boost.
