Why is there so much hate? All they did was show us how to vinyl wrap our cars. I'm sure people here have thought about it but weren't sure how to do it. Now they do. Thanks MCM
I'm sure it won't be long! This was just a quick easy episode they could throw us to satiate our MCM appetite so we don't turn into savage beasts. I'm sure there's a much larger video that's on its way involving some performance bits - this was just a 'filler' if you will.
You guys are awesome! I'm 16 and been watching your videos for a while. Yet, you guys inspired my passion for cars. I thank you so much for these videos! Please make a lot more. I want to continue watching them. When I always talk to my car buddies I make sure to tell them about your channel and they love it. So I thank you for your inspiration. I appreciate it so much! I'd love to see you guys one day at your meets or something but I live in North America so it's harder, but I want to visit Australia to visit you at your meets! I'm definitely putting a MCM sticker on my car since a lot of the stuff I'm doing I learned from you guys. So thank you keep doing what your doing because I'm positive I'm not the only one you two inspired!
One thing they didn't really say is. Dilute your Isopropyl alcohol(IPA) if needed You can get it in 50% IPA and 50% water and it can go up to 99.9% IPA As 99% may damage to clear coat
so glad you guys went back to the old MCM style of the quirky jokes and quick cuts in your videos, opposed to the prolonged ad-libbing which didn't work. Glad to see it :D
TosTiloCosKreW Well, it's reliable, epic, and the FS-DE engine is not bad, so for a P plater, it a great option, and I grew up with the thing, So nope, ill buy another one and burn that one for you:)
Muamin Hugsy Please keep us posted. I am anxious to see someone post real world performance results from this "JDM vinyl wrap" mod. If you have the accessibility, could you first test the USDM vinyl wrap, so we have a baseline in order to compare it against the JDM wrap? Hopefully we can all work as a team to see what is best. After you post up your findings, I hope someone in our community will also test the EDM vinyl wrap as well, for comparison sake among the three.
FYI in case anyone finds it interesting - TH-cam updates up/down votes about every 5 minutes, but only updates play counts at intervals anywhere from 15 minutes to several hours.
Greg Havener Actually when the video reaches about 302 views in such a short time, TH-cam checks the views are legit. After it's done that the views are shown properly :)
Hey guys professional vehicle wrapper here just like to say great job. Only thing I would add though is you guys are correct in saying the wrap wont damage the paint, but please note all of you planning on doing something like this yourself that the whole panel hasn't been covered therefore when it comes to taking it off say 1 or 2 years later the rest of the hood will have some sun fade and the part under the vinyl will look new, and the last thing is keep the car clean dirt can accumulate on the edges of vinyl striping and bite into your clear coat over time. Peace guys drive safe.
Dat Forced Induction song. ;) Achieved the same results on multiple cars without all of this. Water+soap+Plasti Dips. All are exposed to the worst conditions, still stuck on there like white on rice. There's nothing wrong with variety. 3M makes good stuff.
Doug Bedo would be rough to do on an uneven surface though wouldn't it? I was going to do my jeep wrangler grille with it. White truck black grille sorta thing. But theres alot of curves and holes. I would find it difficult to wrap the entire thing
I'm so glad your having fun with that car. I recently crashed mines in a highway accident and it was a total loss. So sad. But I'm okay. Anyways love these videos keep up the good work.
Says the man with an avatar featuring a car with a two tone hood (lulzlulzlulz). But hey, I guess you're the racing inspired cosmetic enhancements specialist, eh?
I vinyl wrapped my motorbike... seeing the knife free cutting is a revelation as I did not know it existed... I hand cut intricate designs having to redo sections multiple times before I was happy with the result. But a tip for doing carbon fibre... if you want it glossy put a layer of clear over the top then it looks like its been laquered. :D
well your right, but mine is swapped with a b16a that has, as moog would put it, awesome unicorn farts. sometimes I wonder what a sports car is? most be nice.
Videos are hilarious and are full of awesome information!! I have done many mods too my 2005 s2000 from watching your videos!! Next is vinyl and nitrous! Keep up the awesome vids!
Don't really like this vinyl thing but you can do whatever you want, it's your car. The point is: You said "the modifications on the S2000 begin". Where are they? The stupid vinyl? Sorry, but in my opinion this episode was absolutely trash, unnecessary and not worth to wait for it that long. Hope the next one will be about real modifications.
I do this kind of stuff for a living so I just want to add a few little points to help out, nothing major. When using the squeegee, work at a 45 degree angle from the centre outwards; it'll hugely prevent air bubbles from forming. If you do get air bubbles and you're using a solid sheet of vinyl you can prick the edge of a bubble with a craft knife and push the bubble towards that hole to smooth it out leaving next to no mark. So don't panic if it looks like a teenagers face once you're done. Vinyl is incredibly durable and the majority of mistakes can be saved. As you can see from what they did, using masking tape as markers for your initial layout is a winner and saves a ton of time. And lastly, adding any kind of vinyl wrap to your car gives serious power gains. You'll be looking at somewhere between 15 - 20kw depending on how ostentatious the design is.
This vid actually turned out to be helpful. I've always wanted to use the stuff, but not on the outside of my car. I want to move some color inside of my car, rather than it just being all black
i love it how easy that looks. also know that if i tried it would end up removing the paint somehow, gluing myself to the car, loosing a arm or leg possibly both. lol
this 3M stuff seems pretty fancy! Any time ive put vinyl on for motorsports though (the thick type used for number square, sponsors ect) weve wiped detergent/water over the panel first, then stick the the vinyl over it. it doesnt do a thing to the adhesion and you can arrange it while its stuck on. *Not sure if it matters for this type though, it seems thin and stretchy.
thats called a wet application, its what used to be done for all wraps but since 3M has come out with the scotchal adhesive it isn't used much anymore. the 3M stuff we use at work you can pull it back off the vehicle easy and heat it to stretch or shrink it. its pretty foolproof stuff.
Nice one. Didn't necessarily want to watch this video, because the potential of mcm is so much more, but watched it anyway because the dialogue is enough regardless of the subject. That said, I don't regret watching it, there's good info in here,. More vids!!
Hey guys, would love to see a LED light bar or external auxiliary light install, I know Light Bars are a little 4x4 and that may not be your style, but it would be a cool tangent and I'm sure would be quite useful for a few watchers and fans who 4WD or do a bit of country driving, including me! Cheers
When ever a striping job comes in to my work, I just get tape and lay it across the hood as straight as possible and trim each side where the hood ends. I take one side and carefully pull it back towards the opposite end in the way that the sides that arent sticky are rubbing on top of each other. Once you reach opposite end, mark off where your middle is and confirm with your measuring tape :]
That's great advice. An easy on the $$ But do you have any for a falling interior roof. My is begging to look like up side down hills. O an can you make it also easy on $$$..
Thanks for the tip about the "knifeless tape" guys, I had not seen nor heard of that before. Marty, keep giving MOOG hell about that Honda. MOOG, sorry you got stuck with the Honda, better luck next time. ; ) j/k! P.S. Marty, I think it would be very nice of you to put your design on MOOG's car for him. I could tell that he was really swept away by your mad design talents and that he really wanted to use your design, but just didn't have enough time during this segment to do it.
Whoever came up with the "Knifeless tape" idea is a GENIUS.
ikr
X1XBlackbirdX1X I was mind blown when I saw how easy it was
Why is there so much hate? All they did was show us how to vinyl wrap our cars. I'm sure people here have thought about it but weren't sure how to do it. Now they do. Thanks MCM
Only cosmetics for the s2000? When are you going to cram more unicorns into the vtec?
Unicorn also need to be fabulous yo...
I'm sure it won't be long! This was just a quick easy episode they could throw us to satiate our MCM appetite so we don't turn into savage beasts. I'm sure there's a much larger video that's on its way involving some performance bits - this was just a 'filler' if you will.
I would think that they are either looking for parts or waiting for their parts for the S2000 to come in
rjkpogii well they were in the USA for a while so i'd expect teh s2000 mod videos to be a while off.
Gee Zed Eee Power Yeah, kind of forgot that they were in the US for a while lol
I don't even own a car anymore....still watch you guys! Awesome!!!
MCM have gone back to their roots. Cheap, tasteful mods that are achievable at home with your own tools. I don't see why people are complaining.
You guys are awesome! I'm 16 and been watching your videos for a while. Yet, you guys inspired my passion for cars. I thank you so much for these videos! Please make a lot more. Wow that knife-less tape is super cool.
First time I watch a MCM video within the hour it is uploaded...Love you guys!

That knifeless tape is genius! Mighty Car Mods
Very hungover at 5:44 am and this has cheered me up! now hopefully the sun will come out in Scotland today
This car is getting RICEY!!
In the US maybe, but in Australia, this might be the style lol.
annnnnd whats wrong with that exactly? "ricers" are badass
It looks clean lol.... Just needs wheels lol
Tom Shepard Ricers aren't bad ass, Tuners are bad ass.
Nothing about this car claims to be anything more than what it is. I do not see the rice
Oh dear god I've missed this so much. I'm so glad you're back.
TBH, i think it looked better stock.
this is a tutorial not a question whether it looks better with it or with out it....
I bet it will be removed by the next episode. Leventisis nailed it though.
Lenventisis Bf No, it's not a question, but that's why there's a comment section, for people's opinions
looks a bit tacky?
***** What if i am a small % i don't do that?
I would put some coils, instead of getting more power from stickers/vinyls.
That looks SWAG!!!!
No Jokes guys, that looks freaking awesome...time to JDM vinyl wrap my GF 626 Mazda.....
It's a 626 burn it
TosTiloCosKreW Well, it's reliable, epic, and the FS-DE engine is not bad, so for a P plater, it a great option, and I grew up with the thing, So nope, ill buy another one and burn that one for you:)

Neal Lehman Not really Doing it as im on a massive life budget right now :/, but if I do ill keep ya posted :)
Muamin Hugsy Jesus...
Good to see a new mighty car mods which is budget and DIY. Feels like it's been a while
300 views, 1000+ thumbs up. That's unicorn power.
the views eventually vteced up with the extra 50kilowatts from the stickers
FYI in case anyone finds it interesting - TH-cam updates up/down votes about every 5 minutes, but only updates play counts at intervals anywhere from 15 minutes to several hours.
Greg Havener Actually when the video reaches about 302 views in such a short time, TH-cam checks the views are legit. After it's done that the views are shown properly :)
The music is great as always. One of the best parts of the show.
you can buy moogs music, by song or album, its great! or just listen to it on youtube.
I agree, really great stuff. I really appreciate it over just using other's music as well.
Could you tell me, the soundtrack at 8 mins 28 seconds?
"Yes, Your eleventh finger"
"... Hold on a minute"
wow clean job good stuff guys
Yay! New Video! "It's so fluffy I'm gonna die!"
Glad to see a new video from mcm yay
Clean under the hood... Literally Cried! XD
You guys are back with more episodes....MAAAAAAD!!!
Knifeless tape, Mighty invention!
Finally another video!!!! Keep em coming Marty and Moog!!!
What dose your circle tattoo means? btw, nice car
I'm ready to see the videos from America! I can't wait to see what sort of shenanigans they pulled.
"First, jack up your car"
I was just thinking when you guys were going to post a video! And bam I get a notification!
Forgot to "First jack up the car and put jack-stands under it".
The tape that cuts the vinyl is so good, never seen that before!!!
Y'all should do a video on plastidip
I would at least like to see how it works and if its any good
1. Clean the car
2. Spray that shit on
3. Let it dry
But I don't know how it would look
Plastidip is fucking garbage. Vinyl wrap does the same thing for cheaper, and is easier to remove, and install
Just watched GoT, need this to cheer me up :/
***** I guess you could say the dude really lost his head trying to save face lmao
Was it a mind blowing episode? Was it an eye popping experience?
I binged watched your entire series and have been anxious for more episodes. Dont keep me waiting like that :(
You spelt, "How to rice up your car" wrong.
Vinyls =/= ricing up your car. There are tasteful vinyls, and that one even matches the seats and interior, so I don't know what your problem is.
Come on man, the only thing lower than a honda civic on the rice totem pole is an eclipse/TSI. Don't h8 m8!
Hey Alex H it's you again...
DrathVader96
the problem is he drives a dsm with a black hood and a neon engine with black steelies so he has no idea what he is talking about lol
Says the man with an avatar featuring a car with a two tone hood (lulzlulzlulz). But hey, I guess you're the racing inspired cosmetic enhancements specialist, eh?
Torally forgot about MCM! Good to see you back.
What marty and moog could have done is to extend the stripes down onto the front bumper, and end the stripe next to the number plate.
Maaaaad. Thank goodness you did not use plastidip. Nice to see quality tutorials from you guys. Keep up the awesome vids, LOVE the music you overlay.
Lmao please tell me that moog puts on the generic ricer "Honda V-Tec DOHC" stickers on the side. That'd be mad.
Sigh...
You guys just keep getting better at this youtube thing!
Still waiting for marty's new subaru project...*sigh*
I vinyl wrapped my motorbike... seeing the knife free cutting is a revelation as I did not know it existed... I hand cut intricate designs having to redo sections multiple times before I was happy with the result.
But a tip for doing carbon fibre... if you want it glossy put a layer of clear over the top then it looks like its been laquered. :D
4:45 Please tell me he said "wing"...
nope.
he said wang as in penis
Manjyot Sandhar sweg
i think he ment wang as in penis
wang.
Thank you so much Marty and Moog..I've never heard of knife less tape until this! It will make everything so much easier now!
mx5 owners that wish they had a honda...
pshhhh plz.
I actually like to own both or 2 in 1 - F20 into mx5
I call bullshit, I've been approached by MX5 owner wanting to trade for my Honda CRX.
Jose Ochoa
liar! why would sum1 wana trade a sucky fwd eco car for a rwd sports car?
well your right, but mine is swapped with a b16a that has, as moog would put it, awesome unicorn farts. sometimes I wonder what a sports car is? most be nice.
ohemgee4419 You do know Moogs Honda is a rwd sports car right? lol
So I went and bought myself a 2005 Honda S2000 and love it sooooooo much! Thanks Marty & Moog! :D
that doesn't look like it's gonna help crushing mx-5
Finally a new video... Thank you MCM!
Should have cut a screaming chicken pattern on the tape and place it on the centre of the hood and call it "Honda Firebird Transvestite".
I just finished watching every video on this channel. Marty and moog, guys are very funny! Haha good work, and nice buys!!
They should plastidip a car for a "Mod"
YESYES
I'm not big on desgins and vinyls but I like the simple but yet clean design! Great video guys, keep it up. Vteeec powaaaaahhh
Waited like 2 months for some stupid rice garbage? Show us some internal motor work or something. Stop ricing please.
oh no, we got a badass over here.
you're not paying anything for this.. duno why you're complaining.
Stop using the word rice. its like aids to my ears.
Corrosion37
Some opinions are best kept to yourself

RICE!!!!! RICE RICE RICE FUCKING RICE!!!!!!!
Nice tutorial as usual! You might want to add a note about removing the washer nozzles BEFORE cleaning and degreasing!

Let the season begin !
That looks so fucking cheap... =__=
I look on here everyday just to see a vid from you guys, I honestly hope I get to meet you guys in real life sometime !
Watching at 4 am. Totally worth it
Hey quick question, swapping out your header? Good bang for your buck?? best vids on TH-cam PERIOD!!!
So happy for the season cnt wait to c the rest
I do this kind of stuff for a living so I just want to add a few little points to help out, nothing major.
When using the squeegee, work at a 45 degree angle from the centre outwards; it'll hugely prevent air bubbles from forming.

Very informative, applying vinyls takes a lot of patience and skill. I know i could never do it myself.
Finally a new video, I thought I was going to dry up and crumble away
just randomly checking mightycarmods page and a video get uploaded 2 mins ago! so lucky
People need to stop hating, They are only catering to all interests which is what we are all about, Top job Mighty Car Mods
It's been too long
Congrats on 800,000 Subscribers!!! ;)
Anybody else always love the music that goes with these videos?
was just planning on wrapping my mx6 ze and you guys put out another helpful video
thank you god guys i have been waiting like foreva!!!
Yes new episode! Day made!!
Great video been looking foward to you vids, two thumbs up from knoxville, TN USA
Love the new garage. Well done.
Looks sweet, that knifeless tape thing is pretty awesome. never heard of it before.
This vid actually turned out to be helpful. I've always wanted to use the stuff, but not on the outside of my car. I want to move some color inside of my car, rather than it just being all black
You guys should have put a MCM sticker underneath the wrap so that you can see the contours when you look close, a nice detail ;)
i love it how easy that looks. also know that if i tried it would end up removing the paint somehow, gluing myself to the car, loosing a arm or leg possibly both. lol
I can understand everything and the info keep coming without to much BS 👍
this 3M stuff seems pretty fancy!
Any time ive put vinyl on for motorsports though (the thick type used for number square, sponsors ect) weve wiped detergent/water over the panel first, then stick the the vinyl over it.
it doesnt do a thing to the adhesion and you can arrange it while its stuck on.
*Not sure if it matters for this type though, it seems thin and stretchy.
thats called a wet application, its what used to be done for all wraps but since 3M has come out with the scotchal adhesive it isn't used much anymore.
the 3M stuff we use at work you can pull it back off the vehicle easy and heat it to stretch or shrink it. its pretty foolproof stuff.
all manufacturers now produce an air release film and as a signwriter its made our job wrapping a hell of a lot easier
MAAAAAD!!!!! That looks so badass man. Good job!
Nice one. Didn't necessarily want to watch this video, because the potential of mcm is so much more, but watched it anyway because the dialogue is enough regardless of the subject.
That said, I don't regret watching it, there's good info in here,.
More vids!!
Been waiting for a new vid lol, you two are awesome, good stuff
Hey guys, would love to see a LED light bar or external auxiliary light install, I know Light Bars are a little 4x4 and that may not be your style, but it would be a cool tangent and I'm sure would be quite useful for a few watchers and fans who 4WD or do a bit of country driving, including me!
Cheers
Beautiful work guys, you rock! This gives a lot of ides for my car.
you guys are always awesome keep up the good work guys!
I didnt think I would like this but you guys made it totaly bad ass
When ever a striping job comes in to my work, I just get tape and lay it across the hood as straight as possible and trim each side where the hood ends. I take one side and carefully pull it back towards the opposite end in the way that the sides that arent sticky are rubbing on top of each other. Once you reach opposite end, mark off where your middle is and confirm with your measuring tape :]
I love your garage and the Meguiar's!
Also...>"VTEC!"
Really simple and clean. Love it.
That's great advice. An easy on the $$
But do you have any for a falling interior roof.
