It's more fun to race two lower powered cars in a friendly competition than to make bets and hold grudges with high dollar, 10 second cars.
This is the same even in video games. Usually the slower cars are more fun to drive and harder to win with than the cars that zip around tracks leaving the AI behind

i remember watching this for the first time years ago and i literally jumped off my couch with my hands in the air and screamed when moog took the win for our honda boizzzz. its always fun to rewatch -- cheers again from New York City.

you are right. growing up playing all thos underground games and watching vin diesel and his crew doing his thing i really thought nos would light up your exhaust LOL
i knew it wouldnt light the exhaust. i had seen drag races of fully modded cars that ran it. but i had never seen the difference it can make alone.
it kind of depends on the engine and also what kind of nitrous system you have. Its certainly possible to make a car vomit flames from the exhaust if it has nitrous installed, especially so if it's a 10 second car. But moogs Honda doesn't have the kind of exhaust to do it. His engine is also tuned for everyday stuff, not running rich or anything so it isn't dumping oil in the exhaust. Also, its worth mentioning that his system is dialled quite low. That's a 50 shot and he's not turning it all the way up to use all the nitrous, effectively replacing all air in the engine with nitrous oxide. Because he held back and decided to get more than one use out of it, he didn't get the genuine maximum from it. His engine would need to be stronger...
ya, my cousin wired a spare spark plug into his exhaust and can shoot 4 foot flames when he wants

The way they put on that stripe was a 100% hack job but let's not forget that they're doing DIY stuff on this channel. A professional would use a computer and a cutting plotter to do all this, not to mention some planning. That string cutting method was very ghetto. They probably got some vinyl from a company and made a quick video to promote how easy it is to use.
It looks to me like this Honda's fate is to be the base they slap on products they receive from sponsors. It's not gonna be a real purpose built car but it gives them the opportunity to do projects like Gramps where they had a specific goal to work towards. Plus they're having fun with it so who cares?

The comments on these videos are so funny... The F20C had the highest Hp/L of any Natrually Aspirated car until the Ferrari 458 came out, TWELVE YEARS after the S2000 was introduced. Honda used to produce Turbo V6s with over 800hp for F1. They still produce Engines for Nascar... They CAN and DO produce huge horsepower engines, but whats the point when they can make affordable cars like the S2000 that still beat most cars in it's class without having stupidly high power figures.
The argument that LS motors have huge displacement for what power they produce is bogus aswell. I had a Monaro with an LS2 motor that made 350 STOCK. Do you realise what you would have to do to a 4 banger to get 350hp N/A? You end up with a car that is shit to drive because of how highly it's strung. Crazy idle and a nightmare to drive daily. I could drive the Monaro to the strip and back without any worries.
Y'all need to realise each car manufacturer does things their own way and they all have good points and bad points. For example, Honda's have no torque below Vtec and unless you wring their necks they're slow. The Monaro killed me on petrol because I became addicted to the sound of the V8.
The majority of these guys chirping on youtube are just dreamers or just ignorant. The moment I saw someone say Honda is a failure in F1, it just proved to me some people are just straight up retarded.
Just because you can make a high displacement/power 4 cylinder engine doesn't mean you can do the same for engines with more cylinders. Honda has the other manufactures beat probably because no one else wanted to invest as much as Honda did in a 4 cylinder. Other than 4 cylinders, what production cars came with high displacement/ power that Honda has built?

ladin425 Honda made 600+HP on a naturally aspirate 3.4 V8 engine, the zr1 makes around the same HP but its supercharged

Tristan Gervacio Luxurria It actually might not be gramps, cos that was more or less a joint build and wouldnt be fair cos that thing outperforms anything they have worked on. But Marty DOES have another Liberty Wagon that was ORIGINALLY gonnab e the gramps build that had a few good mods on it before Mechanical Stig sourced them a fucked Liberty to become gramps and we havn't seen anything of the original grey Lib Wagon for quite some time now soooo....i reckon Marty had his Lib driven down as a back up, cos he did get all smiley when Moog said He's got nothing. So Id say it's gonna be Marty's actual Liberty vs the S2000, which is a more balanced match and will be heaps good to watch. Also i dont remember gramps having roof rails like that....ill check though

+Ryan Jefferson You might get away with a small amount of it, say 25hp while the boost is off. It not only makes power when the engine is under normal conditions but it spools the turbo faster.

the mx5 will keep running the same time all day, but the 2000 will only chop as long as the nos is full. so i would rather chop all day then just chop for as long as the nos lets me, and i bet if the mx5 turned up its boost it would match the s2000 even with its nos no problem. i want to see that miata become a v8 monster. they make kits for it.

You are right, I re-watched the previous episode and with 75 shot of nos they got 175 KW (235 RWHP).This only reinforces my initial comment. How on earth is he running high 13's? That is around 280 crank for such a light car, should be hitting 13.2-5 with ease.
Yeah I saw 2 identical S2000's racing at my local 1/4 mile track one night. They were both stock and both were running a 14.2 all night.
