Our remote was accidentally washed with the bed sheets. I took the battery cover off, removed the batteries and placed it in the sun for a few hours. Maybe we were just lucky, but this worked like a charm.
I just did the same thing!!! Just now Lol I heard a clunking noise(which isn’t normal since it’s only bedding) I looked in the bedroom and no remote. Panic ensued and I stopped the cycle. The remote is wet, but the battery compartment was only a tiny bit damp. It’s drying now, hopefully it still works lol

I had bad water damage and I wasn’t able to open my remote.. so I just kept the sides open and blow dried it for a while lol .. soon as I was about go ahead and buy a new one It started working again 😅
No, you must use isopropyl Alcohol. The reason we use IPA is it does not leave any residue and does not damage the remote, plus the add advantage of absorbing water. Checkout ebay, type in brand of remote + model number, you should be able to pick one up for $20. Cheers MBK

Could you pls leave some constructive feedback, something like: "I had to fast forward, could you pls put in chapters" or "It took a long time, to get to the bit, I wanted to watch" A lot of TH-camrs work hard on their channels, and this video has helped a lot of people, Constructive feedback in the future would be much appreciated.
