This has a level of freshness I haven't heard from Skillet in a looooong time! I hope streams and sales are through the roof! This album is absolutely brilliant and filled with variety and lots of cool left turns. It is definitely one of their top three albums ever imo!
It's definitely their most unique album! Not only does the whole album stand out from the rest, but each song within the album itself stands out from the rest! Truly amazing how they put together an album where all the songs are out of tune with each other, each having a completely different feel. Yet they still come together and form one album that's absolutely amazing, and all of those different songs fit so well together. This is why I love Skillet, they're so talented
I love the "drum n' bass" influence on the pre-chorus and the chorus is one of my favorite on the album! They definitely put some creativity into this one.
It sounds like John Cooper was channeling his inner David Draiman for this song cause this song gave off major Disturbed vibes. I've been a fan of both Skillet and Disturbed for years so I love this song a lot.
