I never expected Skillet to throw down one of the best guitar solos of the past decade.
For modern mainstream rock, they blew this out of the water!!! Props to Skillet for one of their best songs to date!
Clifton, Skillet has tons of awesome guitar solos but yeah this one was pretty awesome.
This is one of those guitar solos that would have murdered me in Guitar Hero. You know the ones where you do fairly well for most of the song and then...Lmao.

The Bible explains how that happened. In the book of Joshua, Joshua asked the sun to stop so he and the Israelites could defeat their enemies. Then in 2 Kings, King Hezekiah learned he was dying, and pleaded to God to not let him die. God sent a prophet to king hezekiah who said hezekiah would live. Hezekiah wanted a sign, and that would be for the sun to defy the law of inertia and go back 10 degrees. NASA confirmed it and did the math (look it up for more info).
We also found Noah’s Ark hanging out in turkey, along with anchor stones marked with crosses signifying that it’s a revered place, along with altars and many other things. Look it up, it’s good stuff.

The idea that the earth was round can be dated back to 600 BC in Greece. It was more widely accepted around the 3rd century (300 BC-201 BC) Note: time was “labeled” differently back then. for example, year 3000, year 420, year 69, year 0, year 1, year 2… and so on.
Job 26:7: “. . .He [God] hangs the earth on nothing” The book of Job was supposedly written at 2100 BC.
Proverbs 8:27: “. . .when He drew a circle on the face of the deep. . .” Proverbs was possibly written between 970 and 686 BC
Isaiah 40:22: “it is He who sits above the circles of the earth. . .” Isaiah was written between 739 and 680 BC.
This one doesn’t pertain to cosmology, but it refers to divine revelation nonetheless.
Isaiah 11:15 “The Lord will dry up the gulf of the Egyptian sea; with a scorching wind he will sweep his hand over the Euphrates River. He will break it up into seven streams so that anyone can cross over in sandals.”
Revelation 16:12 “The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.”

Pliny the Younger (61-113 AD), who said that the Christians thought Jesus was/is God in the Flesh (God the Son)
Phlegon (80-140 AD), who said Jesus had the ability to predict the future, and confirmed that Jesus was crucified during Caesar’s reign, confirmed Jesus rose from the dead, and confirmed He showed His wounds to confirm He was crucified.
Celcus (175 AD), who said Jesus was born of a virgin, said His father is a carpenter, and confirmed Jesus had miraculous powers

Here’s the physical evidence of Jesus and His Resurrection:
1) No persecution would have started if He hadn’t come back (the disciples thought Jesus would never resurrect)
2) The Roman soldiers would have paid with their lives if they failed at their jobs
3) there was a 2-4 ton rock that 11-12 guys would have to move (they didn’t have any help. Everyone said “crucify Him”) major L to those opposed to Jesus
4) there was a Roman seal which was a metal pin that sealed the tomb stone
5) Stealing the Jesus’s body isn’t something the disciples would do (besides Judas. Although he hung himself after feeling remorse for betraying Jesus).
6) the disciples wouldn’t die for what they knew would be a lie. (The lie being Jesus never made the ultimate comeback)

I love this. In one way it still feels and hears and plays like Skillet, but at the same time it has this feeling that they are breaking into new and harder ground and really are ever evolving.
Yess the slight changes over the years have just made them better and better. Unlike other bands that fall off after making music this long.

skillet is the first band I ever listened to, specifically "Hero" was the first one I heard, and here I am more than 5 years later I believe still listening and loving all of his songs. and the fact he's Christian my mom has even bought me some of his cd's.

The build up, the sudden start of metal, the lyrics, everything is absolutely epic.
My brother and I had seen these guys during the 2022 WinterJam in Jacksonville, FL and it was the best experience we felt in a long time. This very song played and we were finally able to scream, give our voices to God and just let the hatred and aggression we built up out of our bodies and into His hands.
And for children like my brother and I, that was a blessing that we didn’t deserve but are eternally grateful for. Skillet is THE best.

Been listening to Skillet since their Rise album. Every single time this band releases a song or an album, it speaks to me. I have listened to them in times of triumph and tragedy. @@petite.madame I FEEL THE SAME WAY. My sister found skillet years ago, and the first song I heard was Hero. Now, 7 years later, most of the songs in my rock playlist are still skillet. They amount to around 90% of the playlist. They are such a great band, I’m so pumped for the full release of Dominion.

Finally they now come beat the storm up and the music becomes even stronger. Solos are so crazy on this song. Like dang. Skillet's music has really fought the storm now. More crazier though. I love how I have such a love for older songs like the Comatose album but then they are still putting out fantastic music!
Ha, yeah, the good old times, when we were all much younger. I feel like we and Skillet have aged and matured side by side. Those young days were an emotional rollercoaster, like Skillet's older music - a bit chaotic, yet strong in heart... But then, we all became men. Now our feet are firmly planted on the ground, and we aren't budging, because we've already learned lessons the hard way.
This album is refreshing after getting only two or three really heavy songs from them in the last 2 albums. Hopefully they get heavier on the next album.
A lot of bands start to decline after they've been around for a while, but every skillet album that comes out seems to raise the bar even higher. The fact they keep evolving WHILE staying at their roots is hard to do as a band. Each member is very talented in their own right and their talents on stage and behind the scenes compliment each other so well. They've been blessed and continue to bless us with banger after banger, as well as songs for encouragement. Love the band. Love the new songs. Keep rockin 🤘🤘🤘
It doesn’t do their live performance justice. This song live sounds sooooo much heavier, and John’s bass almost sounds like something from Korn. One of my favorite songs I’ve heard live.
I would've never expected any kind of syncopated rhythms from skillet! This along with a lot of the production choices on this album are very bold. This album rocks!

Just as a point of interest, after several years of using the same workout playlist in the gym I decided to undertake a project to build a new one from scratch. Over a period of three weeks sampling individual tracks--spending a total of maybe 18-20 hours--I ended up with 187 songs on the new playlist. The songs range from 1970 to 2022 and are from 108 different artists/bands. The band with with the most songs on the list? With the new Dominion album it's Skillet, with 26 total; the most by far. The closest runner-up has 5. Keep rockin'!

Yeah Victorious was not good at all, but this new album is their best since Collide/Comatose era; Doesn't hold a candle to those albums, but it is really good.
