I was at a few of these games...the goal against Cats at Waverley...we kinda stood there with our mouths open for five minutes wondering about what we'd just seen. And the goal in the GF...it was a real arm-wrestle until this Freak broke the game open ... I wasn't at the Eagles Elim Final but it's probably the best goal I've seen...l absolutely love this guy.
Well said Matty I would choose Daics over G Ablett if I had to choose one, Ablett may be more a real match winner but for some reason I'm choosing Pure Ability,Mates say I'm wrong ,I'm with you his Skills are the best we've had in anyone's Lifetime
I did play Aussie Rules till I was 14 in fact I played both till I was 14! My dad told me to make a decision and pick one I tossed a coin it came up football AKA soccer....
Undoubtedly my favourite player as a kid. Loved seeing him play at Vic Park and Waverley. There were plenty more besides these 10. I remember against Richmond in 1990 at Vic Park. Terry Keays had no idea how to play him that day. No one did.
I was there at a packed Princes Park in 1981 Round 6 vs Carlton when he had Bruce Doull on toast and had him moved off him before half time. Ended up kicking 7 and was playing b/w centre and half forward.
GOD HIMSELF, CHRISTOPHER SIMON HOLMES, COLLINGWOOD SUPPORTER, LOVE DAICOS, AND HIS 2 SON'S, JOSH AND NICK, KEEPING THE DAICOS TRADITION, AT THE MIGHTY MAGPIES, GO!!! PIE'S!!!
Very interesting to note that the top 2 goals on his ratings list were both kicked at the Wellington Road end of VFL Park. There was at least one other goal kicked at that end among this lot, so he must have had a knack for finding those goals whenever he played there. I expected the one in the Qualifying Final against the Eagles in 1990 to be at no. 1. It was the most freakish of all the miraculous goals that Daics ever kicked. At the time Darren Millane had a broken hand when he handballed the ball to him to set up that goal.
There is no contest with him and Eddie Betts or anyone else. No one changed the game of the forward pocket lke Daics did in the late 80s and 90s. How could someone playing in the forward pocket kick 97 goals in one AFL season?! The Macedonian Marvel, Peter Daicos.
Peter Josh Nick Daicos 2024 to 1990 Collingwood football club go Magpies and Daicos I Hope you Win Be The best Team ever in The magpie Team ever go Collingwood
The macedonian marvel from the Great village of banitsa macedonia!the magician!all of those magical goals from impossible angles!lets go magpies!bravo bratchko!
the way his sons are going he might end up being the third best diacos, his sons are both elite players too, and they shone through in there first years, usually a new kid has to adjust and build up, but his sons just went out onto the field and you could see there skill right from day one, and they have a whole career ahead of them both ???
he made popular the banana kick and weird angle which are common these days, before him everybody just kicked straight at the goals with standard kicks ???
Had to laugh Daics describing the soccered goal at number 8 being 10-15 yards (9-14m) out on a slight angle. Lucky to have met him a few times over the years and he’s beyond modest but that description is overdoing it 😆
I played pies reserves92_93 come Syd Nth beaches I'll never forget meeting Daics he said G'day mate I'm Peter I said yeah I know who you are I had his and Pants Mullane poster on my wallet home,Talk about quality person all the stirred him up at meetings and stretching cause he was so passionate and honest different than most people,What a man was P Daics the CHAMP!
DAICOS(senior) AND SON'S, JOSH and NICK, MARVEL'S,PURE MAGIC.

The greatest mind and skill of any AFL footballer since 1897.

Gazza is the best I've seen and I'd have Daicos in the same group as Jarman, Lethal, Winmar, McLeod, Flower, Blight and Jezza.
My hero as a kid!
Great Player Peter Daicos, these goals are amazing.
My hero growing up I wear his number on my goalkeeper top
Constantinos Palmer so he is your hero to a sport you don’t even play!?!?!?!?
I did play Aussie Rules till I was 14 in fact I played both till I was 14!

Stone cold legend of the club and such a nice fella to boot.
AFL highlights don’t get any better than this.
The best modern day Collingwood player, easily.
Better than bucks
Yep
No comparison...Picken is the only other Woods Champ in the last half-century
Number 35 legend number
I've still got this video. Was a joy to watch growing up :)
This is insane . No player has done this as consistently as Daicos

The Macedonian Marvel!! One of my all-time favourites. Daicos was Mr. Magic. Loved this era of football.

So over rated . 1 flag and 250 games pretty poor return really
I remember another awesone goal at VFL Park against Geelong in the 1980 preliminary final i think.
