Thank you guys for all the videos! I heard the shootout between the Collings and the Huss & Dalton, I heard the comparison between all the D2H's and after this video I must say that the D1T baked won me over - and yes my OM2H-MRA is looking for a bigger brother to keep her company... Would be very interesting to see a shootout between a CJMhSS and a CJ-35!
Luiz thanks for your comment! We would love to do a shoot-out with the CJ and CJ-35, though we do not currently have a "35" series in the shop. The D1T with "baked top" would make an ideal big brother to your OM2H Madi / Adi Collings!
Sounds to me like the sitka tops have a deeper low end than than the Adi. Also more of a scooped mid thing going on. Tough call but I think for instant satisfaction sitka might be the call.
I have a 1998 OMH2C ha is absolutely incredible. Looking at adding he Mahogany flavor to my collection. Liking the D1 "Baked" quite a bit. What is the difference between D1- 2- and so forth?
Thanks for your kind words, I imagine your 1998 OM2H Cutaway sounds awesome! Collings models are broken down into different appointments based on basic specs for 1-Style (Mahogany back & sides) and 2-Style (Rosewood back & sides). As all Collings are "built to order", essentially each one is entirely custom built. There is also a 3-Style set of appointments, models which could be either Mahogany or Rosewood. With many custom options, deciphering the model name can be confusing for players who are new to the Collings brand hand history.
The sunburst sounds that best..... sounds heavenly actually.
Nice ring to the drednaught
PS; I miss Jessie! Where can we find more fro him since Artisan switched to Maton only?
I like the traditional best - a little mellower.

which one of these are you sayin was adi because he claimed all three were sitka in the video
I actually preferred the D1 with baked Sitka. The traditional seemed a little brighter and maybe just a little more reverb than I like.

Have you done a D1 vs D2 video? If not....
