Hah hah! A way to make glasses for the Equius cosplay that I'll probably never end up doing despite really wanting to because finding grey facepaint is difficult and a general lack of closet space! This is awesome, thank you sososo much!
I did mines with instead of paint a layer of teinted plastic found on a textbook cover and i used the mecanism of lecture glasses so it is easy to wear and have in place for conventions
Tanith Crespo plexiglass is a lot harder to cut. You'd have to use a saw and be careful to make sure you don't create cracks. Which is tricky bc the shape of glasses is rather delicate. Cracks have a white color which will make the glasses less see-through in the end. Plus, plexiglass can't be bend, so you can't make glasses with a nose bridge. There are different types of spirit gum. Maybe you're only allergic to the water resistant version which has more harsh ingredients in it. Have you tried a water-soluble one? Another alternative would be eyelash glue. It's obviously eye-save so maybe that will work better for you.
this has actually given some great ideas. I've been wanting to do sollux glasses out of my old prescription glasses for ages but I couldn't find any decent way to do it on google (cellophane paper is godawful on glass, never again). Had never thought that glass paint was both real and obtainable. Now I gotta look into that approach
FINALLY!!! I've been looking for HS glasses tutorials for so long and I haven't been able to fine one till now! Thank you so so so so much!!!

I have two questions...
1: Would plexiglass work instead of plastic?
2: I'm allergic to Spirit Gum. Do you have any alternatives?

My dad does woodwork and can easily cut plexi. but you're right about the bridge part.
@@CaptainCrunchCosplay Even this glasses of madness combat and tf2 can do better than that
