Brokkr from Valhalla here, I run a vexor navy, the boat is a lot of fun once you get your fits right. I’m currently getting all my mats for a myrmidon when Tech7 drops, luckily my main toon is invention spec so making the BP is gonna be easy. Luckily I invested in medium drones a little earlier on. But if your buying into them now they are way overpriced atm and being it’s the only weapon that can be destroyed, just be prepared to replace them.

Ahoy Captain! I found a great use for my Vexor Trainer until I build my Vexor. Advanced level Encounters. I fitted mine with Caldari Navy Railguns, a Gorget Armor Repairer, Acoylith Capicitor Battery, Interruptor Stasis Webifier, and 4 Mk5 Hammerhead Drones. As far as rigs, I went with Drone Firepower, Railgun Collision Accelerator, and 2x Power grid Routers. When all that gets fired up, I get 210 Offense with maxed out Cruiser Command and level 4 for all of my Railguns, and Drones. Best thing of all is my capacitor is stable! Running these Encounters I have been averaging 1m from Bounties as well as 350 - 450K reward for each one. Well worth checking out. Best of all, no one will jump you. Try it out people!
I did in the vexor trainer t7 encounters, takes 40 minutes roughly. But that's because I can't afford medium drones. Just be sure to orbit at 28km and don't afk.

Another awesome video Cap. I have a Vexor Trainer hull sitting up on blocks in my hanger - got it as my "free" cruiser but it sucked so much compared to my Kestrel when I took it out lol. This purely comes down to drone price and lack of skills (and probably skillz!). My biggest takeaway from your videos though is the importance of an active, holistic, corporation! Keep up the good work
Vexor trainer is a pleasure to fly and I use it for kiting/skirmishing with 33km small drones. Medium drones are kinda expensive but I am slowly grinding heh. Kinda like the cannon build will prob start using that hmm Great video keep up the good work Cap!
I love flying Vexors, Benzie. You're right that drone prices are pretty insane right now. I mainly fly a Rupture with jolt strike cannons right now. Surprisingly good at kiting. Thanks for the content, friend!

@@captainbenzie at 35km I consistently hit at around 1400 to 1600 dps a salvo. Sometimes 1800 I'm working on the expert medium cannon skill levels to pump that up even more :)
The little "cargo" bays you mention are the drone bays. The green shine you see is from the force field barrier. Compare them to force fields in Star Wars etc 😆
NOICE! Taking this brawler build for a spin and I love it. I swapped the damage control for a warp drive.. i prefer moving fast to get to the wrecks before others, plus i feel like it makes me harder to hit, thus adding indirectly to the tankiness.

I would like a video that would like point out what type of ships or factions are good at. The description in-game for the factions is not clear
I love my navy issue vex so much! It has paid for the investment in it 4 times over now including cost of fits and drones. FYI Valkyries are just fine for PVE content up to T6 story missions. 50km drone range = Sit back and make ISKY...It reminds me of the alien head from the movie Aliens btw.
Is this a decent dps for a huge cruiser? I watched your videos on a lot of the frigates, and even a t2 incursus can almost reach this dps. I fly the atron interceptor atm and its way more effective than a vexor trainer for me.

The vexor is op, I'm in a vexor navy issue and I cleared a t10 anomaly in solo, got a bit more than 400 dps when the drone damage amplifier is active and by staying in 41 km range I don't even have to armor tank since the shield doesn't get lower than 40%. The only problem with the vexor is PvP, I got 3 hammerheads destroyed and had to replace them (they're worth 12 millions each). Oh and another thing: instead of using a normal mk5 armor repeirer that heals 350 you can use a gorget armor repairer which heals 410 (you can buy it for only 3 millions in the market)
@@juggornautracing6743 at 40 km is rare that they hit me... I don't use much the armor repairer and I always have the afterburner active for that little more speed tank, it's rare that I get under 30% of cap
@@bezky_2336 I actually just went out in mine at 41km on a 750k t6 mission, and yea, they barely touched me. So I can see that even at the higher tiers. I was doing t8 missions in the reg Vexor. In the Navy now, so I'm sure that'll be even better. Maybe I'll forgone the engineering rigs for now and see how it goes in t8, and then if so add the ab rig and such like you did
Hey Benzie, great video! I've been watching your channel for a while now. I just wanted to comment on a few things: I've been running the Vexor Navy Issue for about a week now and doing T6 story missions with it. In my experience, medium drones are a great all-around PVE weapon even against elite frigates. I don't find the need to switch to light drones when fighting them. It's a better experience than my Thorax which uses railguns. In my opinion, kiting build guns (lasers, railguns and cannons) don't do well against frigates if the frigates manage to close in and orbit at a very near range (say 5km). I tried the Caracal for a while since I main Caldari ships back when I was still playing EVE Online, but found that Medium Missles don't apply good damage to frigates. In summary, I disagree with the suggestion to swap to light drones you mentioned on 2:23. Great suggestion for the kitting fit! I'm using medium railguns right now and they absolutely deal no damage at my kiting range of 40-50km. I might have been too focused trying to make the ship as "Gallante" as possible and forgot to explore other weapons. Other than that, great video! Keep em coming! I went for a faction afterburner and an auxiliary thruster II and I go at 780 m/s; instead of the capacitor battery I use another drone damage amplifier so I can reach 407 dps and I'm capacitor stable. I always have the afterburner active so I can speed tank a bit and I don't use much the armor repeirer (rarely I get under 80% of armor). I do t9 and t10 anomalies with this fitting
@@bezky_2336 Some T6/T8 storyline missions have Elite Battlecruisers / Elite Cruisers with MWD. I could never outrun them with an afterburner and they deal crazy DPS, hence why the MWD. I do want more damage though, it takes so long to clear T6/T8 storyline encounters (around 2hours for T6, T8 god knows how long). What range to you kite T9/T10 anomalies? And what faction are you fighting? I'm mainly interested because I'm planning my Myrmidon fitting.
@@kevin9795 I always stay at 40 km and I do a t9 anomaly in 3 bounties (1 hour, first bounty around 1.3m the second bounty 1.6m and the last 700 000 isks). I do every type of faction, if I'm going for serpentis (armor tank) I use 5 valkyries, if I go for guristas (shield tank) I use 2 hammerhead and 3 valkyries, but when I'll have enough isk I'll buy 3 hammerheads (I had them destroyed in PvP)

Great video! I have a question about drones. All kiting builds generally do a lot less dps than the brawling builds. My kiting NCI takes a lot more time to finish encounters and anomalies than my tanking build. My question is: since 90% of the vexor dps comes from drones, and drones will do the same damage from near of from far away (there's no drone focused on close distance and long distance), is it correct to imply that Vexor kiting builds is faster than other ships kiting builds to finish encounters?
I think in echoes do to how tanking been changed, all lowslot instead of armor being low shield mid. and ships built around that I think whats more important is what skills your trained in for prefered tanking over the ship sure ships have there better suited role. but if your 5/5 sheild opperation and shield hardener. your vexor is gonna do better shield tanking than armor tanking. the same can be said say a caracal but your trained in armor skills its gonna do better armor tanking. the thing is unless the ship has a specific like More shield or armor in its build the tanking will ultimately be decided but what skill set you have chosen to train.
It's a love/hate relationship between me and the Vexor. Love the ship, hate the prices on medium drones. Come on people, craft some more drones. We need the price to go down.
@John mark Ogayon yeah. I know that. What I meant is I hope that there can be a way to do something about it but then again eve is famous for it's player driven economy. When sentries comes out it will probably be super expensive.
Yo captain. If you see this do you recommend training your high slot skill too. I’m just curious on optimum path for it. I have focused a lot into drones so far.
Since I lost my Vexor Trainer gear, it has been tough rebuilding since I can't afford the Modules I used to carry. Now I'm fighting refitting and getting my capacitor stable. It keeps sitting in the negative. Does that mean it is bleeding capacitor power? Could use some advice. Tried putting in 2ea armor repairers and 2 Nosferatus and I went over my capacitor limit. Ideas?
@@captainbenzie What I might be missing is I put 2 Drone modules into my rigs and was using Republic Small Missle launchers. The problem I get is I was trying your first setup with 2x of the repairers and 2x of the nosferatos or even 2x of the stasis webfiers and it goes over my capacitor size. Do I need to remove the Drone modules and use a lower small missile launcher?
That is when I use t5 of everything else. I'd hate to drop to level 3 gear to try the brawler setup you were talking about. I'll drop my 2 Drone modules and see if that works. Will let you know Captain.
@@captainbenzie Solved my Vexor Trainer. It now Brawls at 10k away with the Nost and Dmgs for 160 so far using Challenger Medium Missles and switching to Navy Issue Railguns which work very well. It was all about removing my afterburner and placing that Armor/shield repairer. Great video Captain!
I lost my Omen Navy Issue today because of a stupid mistake while doing story missions. First ship I lost since launch and 70 million isk are down the drain. Not that it's relevant to the video, just wanted to vent my anger.
@@bazkervillerouge750 Yeah I switched to Lasers because I was bored of the Caracal Trainer. Didn't try out a Laser fitting or armor tanking before and payed the price of being an amateur.

I presume the general strategy is to get in range send drones and mwd out of range? Rinse and repeat, killing anything that has speed to get close.

@@captainbenzie its the BP drop rates not the materials. The mats to build them are fairly negligible
It costs 10-15 million to buy a single use blueprint to make 5 medium drones, so I'm not surprised they are expensive.
The drones in echoes are overpriced. In eve online drones are wayyyy cheaper. Echoes needs to do something about this overpricing.
@John mark Ogayon yeah. I know that. What I meant is I hope that there can be a way to do something about it but then again eve is famous for it's player driven economy. When sentries comes out it will probably be super expensive.

Since I lost my Vexor Trainer gear, it has been tough rebuilding since I can't afford the Modules I used to carry. Now I'm fighting refitting and getting my capacitor stable. It keeps sitting in the negative. Does that mean it is bleeding capacitor power? Could use some advice. Tried putting in 2ea armor repairers and 2 Nosferatus and I went over my capacitor limit. Ideas?
@@captainbenzie What I might be missing is I put 2 Drone modules into my rigs and was using Republic Small Missle launchers. The problem I get is I was trying your first setup with 2x of the repairers and 2x of the nosferatos or even 2x of the stasis webfiers and it goes over my capacitor size. Do I need to remove the Drone modules and use a lower small missile launcher?
@@captainbenzie Yes. Apologies. When I look at my power grid it is in the negative, but won't allow for 2x repairers and 2x Nost.
That is when I use t5 of everything else. I'd hate to drop to level 3 gear to try the brawler setup you were talking about. I'll drop my 2 Drone modules and see if that works. Will let you know Captain.
@@captainbenzie Solved my Vexor Trainer. It now Brawls at 10k away with the Nost and Dmgs for 160 so far using Challenger Medium Missles and switching to Navy Issue Railguns which work very well. It was all about removing my afterburner and placing that Armor/shield repairer. Great video Captain!

I lost my Omen Navy Issue today because of a stupid mistake while doing story missions. First ship I lost since launch and 70 million isk are down the drain. Not that it's relevant to the video, just wanted to vent my anger.

Not entirely true. Medium drones are better at hitting small targets than any other weapons of the same weight class except Medium rapids

I wanted to fly an arbitrator to, but he is to weak compared to the vexor in term of pve, i'll go with prophecy when we hit tech7 :D
