Hi mate I’m picking up a 2014 z1000 next week , I have the hm plus quickshifter from my Zx10r 2004 , I also had my pc3 custom tuned by Chris at Cjs funny enough . What size is the shift rod I need ? Many thanks Joe
Hi mate me again did you install the slipper clutch before installing the quickshifter as I also have a hm plus quickshifter but sometimes hit false neutral , will the slipper clutch help in this department ? Thanks
@@comfysofa1549 my gear shifter is a little sloppy i dont think my thread bar is the correct size , do you think this could be a reason why i am getting false neutrals? im taking to cjs this year so will see if i can get one of his fitted
@@flashedon2wheels277 im not sure if Chris does custom length shifter bars. I got mine from JHS - i think they keep a range of different lengths in stock....but yes if its loose that could be the reason.....the zeds bottom end is pretty bulletproof.
Sorry - forgot to reply..."Tender" is a slang for battery charging flylead....i use an optimate - ive got a Lithium battery on there and keep it on a tender (trickle charger) all the time and theres a tracker on board also which is battery backed and it always taking power from the main battery. @@comfysofa1549 I've only ridden one bike with a quick shifter, and that was factory equipment, but on that bike when you wanted to shift normal (as in with the clutch) the engine cut function of the quick shifter was disabled.
@@Uninfluenceable i kinda see what you mean....but no....it doesnt need it....if im not using the qs it work normally....my hypermotard has a healtech and works the same way...
Nothing has changed with the software for the city light....i know youre desparate for one...ill do a video on why its not yet even worth testing in place (on the bike) if i explain youll understand...i have put it to my brother to use the existing light but switch to a single colour led and use a dial to just have a fixed back and forth which you can speed up and slow down manually. Essentially if the light were to freeze on issuing commands to it youd have to kill the power to it (taking it out of the case) or fit a power switch.... its ages since ive had a mess around with it so ill have to have a play first. My brother is still snowed under with work on his current contract and is working evenings as well as days...
I do, but when you make the first Edition in one color back and forth and the second edition with several colors sell you more... and you win time to fix the problems.

Ive never had a false neutral issue ever but, the slipper clutch definately improves literally everything from a gear change and feel point of view...

does it have a clutch switch over-ride? So that when your shifting traditionally using the clutch it doesn't activate the ignition cut?
No...not sure what you mean but no it doesnt need it...

No....not from an MOT standpoint...I change mine back for that...
