that was some nice beavers . ya'll work good together out on the line .sure is a great looking area .we got ice an snow pellets yesterday an sun today an 19 degrees ..till the next one be safe guys
Those potatoe rakes have more uses in trapping than they do in the garden. I use mine to break out a dam, hook the shore to pull me in. Also as a cane for extra support in deep mud. Then i see you use it as a anchor to hold your boat on shore. I trap from a canoe, with a bow & stern line that come together where i sit. Both lines have a loop and i use a "T" stake to hold the canoe against the shore. I make a caster mound on my paddle, slide it off on the bank. Put some lure on the paddle to smear on the mound, then guard it with a snare on an earth anchor. Then splash water on the slide. It's a lot faster than climbing in & out of the canoe to do it, with the same results. Plus i have 2 bad knees, so i try to trap where I don't have to get out of the canoe. I can set 30 water traps in 2 1/2 hrs on a pond with a coloney of Beaver. This way there is a trap for everybody, and no one has to wait in line. I'm an ADC Trapper, on privet property they want them all gone. On river trapping, you need to leave some behind for the next season. So i can clean out a colony in about 6 to 7 days.
@@AnArkansasTrapper nothing today either, but something dragged a DP to the end of the chain and all bait was gone. No tracks, ground froze last night. If it was a coon hope he find my pocket sets.

Appreciate it. Glad I am able to get out there chasing after them.
Nothing in my "ARky" set today. I'm going to call it that lol.
Hate to hear it. Get some rest and start looking forward to the next go.

Where to you sell your fur? Seems everyone I knew growing up has died or got out.
