Horror is more than just jumpscares, it should be something that makes you uncomfortable, disgusted, concerned, etc. This game does just that. So if people are uncomfortable with how it has very dark tones involving cannibalism and incest then it did it's job,
There are alternative options to horror though. Body horror, psychological horror, animals, insects, emotions, human types... You could make ANYTHING so why incest yk?
I won't take this as horror For me I think outlast has more of the disgusting and uncomfortable feeling to it than this maybe dead space as well but this game isn't that scary or disturbing
I think this is more of a tragedy. Two siblings that live in a world that hates them, causing the two to form a toxic codependency with one another and to survive are forced to commit the most vile acts you can imagine
