If you had hooded eyes, I'd have no need for other teachers. You have beautiful talent.

She made a video for hooded eyes recently. I tried her technique yesterday and it turned out so good. I've never been able to do anything with my eyes because it always looked weird, but this was very helpful. You should totally watch the tutorial and try it yourself.

Thanks for explaining the difference between prepping your eyes with an eyeshadow primer vs concealer. Even though you don’t have hooded eyes, I’d love to see an in depth tutorial for hooded eyes.

Oh no Nina I do every single one of these! No wonder I look like I have clown eyes & with having BIG aging eyes already it shouldn't be my go to. Thank you soooo much for this. I'm on holiday next week & dying to try these tips out with my new ND Glam palette (ok not like the Mario palette but it does have a lot of neutral warm tones). I'd still love to see a pink eyeshadow look or to see if you can say use a Pat McGrath palette but somehow make it look more demure & less full on glam? Loving your channel; there's so many out there but you can't beat the advice of a fully fledged makeup artist. Love from the North of the UK ❤😊

It always helps to sit in a reclining chair to look directly into the mirror bringing it up eye level. I've had to do that for a number of years because of hooded eyes. Plus it's more comfortable. Lol

I have totally hooded syes getting worse by the hour lol. Ive tried every technique & a milllion different mascaras but i still get little mascara dots on my eyelids. I always let them dry then take off with a qtip but id love any suggestions you might have to prevent this. Love the "correct side" look. Extractly as you said....very clean. Made a world of difference lol

Nina, would you consider an eye reviving cream that you use during the skin prep as a primer for the eye as well? I use the Believe Beauty Reviving eye cream.

I love how my right eye's lashes pretty much stay curled 24/7 without assistance but still have trouble finding a good liquid eyeliner to get that perfect angle. My other eye isn't naturally curled and is too short for eyelash curler. It will only pinch my eyelid. I also have been trying a few days a week practicing after I get home. The eye liner brush always gets stuck and choppy especially when I get closer to the wing area.

I wear glasses with a very strong prescription (thick) which just enhances everything, I’m trying to learn to go lighter. I quit using eyeliner as I have crepy eyelids, the joys of aging😊

I have found that by not loading the brush with so much eye shadow and then having to blot it off before applying helps me waste less product.

I do 80% of the “wrong” side 😩 I also get so frustrated when my shadow actually looks good then I open my eye and it disappears. I swear my eyes have like 8 hoods

  • @laureenstathes3522

I can't wait to try blotting the shadow on a tissue before touching the lid. I have been doing the tapping off but still would get patchy. Also I will start using the side of the liquid liner instead of the tip for the lid section. So many helpful tips!!! Thank you Nina.

Also why do some people use eyelash primer? I notice, you do not. What does the primer do?
