Thank you SOOOOOOO much!!! It;'s been weeks I am trying to get someone on the phone in their customer service to get my PTAN to enroll to electronic billing. You are the saver!!!
Yeah, so nowhere does it call the PTAN a PTAN. It says "Medicare ID" everywhere. This is terribly confusing. l've had so many headaches and calling CMS and EUS and MAC where they've told me the PTAN and the Medicare ID are different. It's been a nightmare. I'd make sure to mention that about 5,000 times in this video. The PTAN is the Medicare ID. The Medicare ID is the PTAN. When you blur it out, that valuable piece of information gets lost.
The PTAN is NOT the Medicare ID. The Medicare ID is NOT the PTAN. The Provider Transaction Access Number (PTAN) is the unique Medicare identification number. This number is assigned to providers/medical practice once their enrollment. PTANs are usually six digits long and are based on the provider's type of service and location. PTAN is required to authenticate a provider's identity for all transactions relating to billing and enrollment

Volume is way to low. Makes what seems to be good and thorough info useless. 😢
