I am an OT and am venturing into how to start my own business. The biggest question/concern I have is billing. I don't really want to deal with Medicare and want to bill patients directly and provide them a superbill so that they can get reimbursed by insurance. But I'm not sure many of my patients could afford the service as many would be on fixed income. Thinking of making payment options of 3 payments of x amount... Any thoughts? I don't plan to charge much but believe it will be very beneficial...

Tony - Thanks. This is helpful. We are opening a 2nd location under our entity and want a 2nd NPI2 for the entity, one per each location. I don't see how to apply for a 2nd NPI2 for the same TIN/IRS Entity, can you advise on that?
Hi Tony, thanks for all your videos. They have been immensely helpful in getting me started on my new path in life. I am confused though about a single member LLC taxed as a disregarded entity. It appears that Medicare wants me to have a Type 2 NPI to bill under, but wouldn’t that conflict with the IRS who says my tax ID is still my SSN, not the LLC EIN? Thanks! BTW I tried to use your clarity account, but the link seems to be broken.
This is confusing. I would recommend contacting your MAC. You can contract as a sole proprietor using your SSN as a Tax ID. It is a little different. In that case you wouldn't get a Type 2 NPI.
Clarity has been struggling as a platform it seems. Sorry for that. I am looking for an alternative.

When you submit the 855i it automatically does the reassignment.

How about a Residential Care Facility for Elderly ( Non-Medical Home care) ? Which NPI should I apply?
I have an NPI for my LLC business which only has myself treating as a PT. I do not take any insurance as I am out of network. I will provide a superbill with my NPI for patients to submit for reimbursement. Some are successful. One who was previously successful with that information is now not successful because the insurance company now wants a group NPI. I am hoping you can help me...how do I get a group NPI and will it negate my prior NPI and if so will that disrupt others who are trying to get reimbursed if this changed?

Hello if I have mobile practice as a PTA what practice type will I select
When the home address is listed for the NPI application, it becomes public information. Is there a way not to make it public? (to avoid pts knowing your personal address)
There is an option there to indicate if it is a home address, but I don't know of any other option.
So I went through all of the steps but didn't get any notification that it was done. I also don't know how to look up my second NPI. Nothing comes up when I search and only my primary comes up with a search. Any tricks to finding this number?
Thanks for the video! In the process of applying for an NPI number, I cannot move past the initial page where you enter all your personal info. It keeps giving me an error message repeatedly, to fill out names, date of birth, and SSN. I did that, but still, did not go through to the next page.Tried in both Safari and Chrome browsers unsuccessfully. Any idea how I can troubleshoot this, or who to contact for support? Thank you.
I had something similar. If you hvnt by now call them as there's some glitches staff walk you through
@@k.reiser4565 I tried logging in on separate occasions until it eventually worked. Didn't do anything differently, so no idea what made it work at the end. I always would click "next" instead of "save" and that let me advance.

Can a PTA obtain an Organization NPI & PTAN in order to provide part b outpatient services at home? We would employee/1099 PTs. PTAs would no longer treat post 1/1/24 due to supervision law. Is this possible?

If you are a treating PT, OT, or SLP and you plan to treat Medicare beneficiaries then yes, you need a personal NPI.
