Hey Jonathan, thanks so much for featuring this on your channel! I just wanted to stop by and say thanks and also say that when I got the demo of this song to listen to it was pretty much all there and was already an incredible near completed song. Pat asked me if I would take a listen and add a synth solo and any other things I felt could help. So I put in some extra synth and percussion parts / drum parts to make it feel bigger and more emotive but I wanna emphasise that what I added was complimentary and Pat is an incredible musician and singer. I WILL however take credit for the Pino Palladino style bass in the chorus! That was DEFINITELY me! HAHA I encourage anyone here to go check out The Motion Epic's new album Boardwalk Arcadia :D Much love as always my friend

Love this song, on my first listen it brought me back to the high school dances in the 80's, when a song like this came on you looked around for the girl you wanted to dance with. It definitely has serious Richard Marx vibes going on. That little up and down synth bass line is such an iconic 80s slow song thing.

That was a cool, chill vibe, with a lot a wistfulness to it. I could tell you felt it, I felt it, too. There were some really nice drum fills in there. Thanks for showcasing artists I haven't checked out yet, it gives me something new to explore.

Not sure how much was Oakley and how was Pat, but Michael does autobiographical and heart-on-sleeve exceptionally well. And Pat's voice always melts me. This was deep and actually I got a better feel for the song watching your reaction video than I did listening at home - so thanks !
