Actually Air Neos is in Yugioh Legacy of the Duelist which is even weirder. And Kazuki Takahashi stated he based the Elemental Heroes more on Japanese heroes, rather than American heroes.
Idk how true that is on the E•HEROES but M•HEROES are definitely based off Kamen Rider
Elemental HERO: They were designed by Kazuki Takahashi, and are themed after comic-book superheroes in the anime and are based off natural elements in the manga.
Destiny HERO: These cards resemble British anti-heroes and there are several references to British culture within the cards.
Evil HERO: The designs of the "Evil HERO" monsters bear some similarity to various demonic superheroes, villains, and antiheroes, such as The Darkness, Hellboy, and Witchblade.
Masked HERO: While the "Elemental HERO" archetype is said to be based off of American superheroes, it can also be assumed that the "Masked HERO" archetype is a salute to the Japanese Tokusatsu series Kamen Rider.
I made several red eyes support cards way back when, one, the Purple Eyes Grey Dragon even being a bridge between Red Eyes and Blue Eyes that allowed you to remove a fusion from the fusion deck at the time to gain te stats once per turn, but keep those stats. So after two turns your had a creature with minimum 6700 atk. Also, Red Eyes Hydra which was 2 or more Red eyes fused and would gain 1500 attack and 1000 def for each red eyes used to make it.

Theres tons of doppelgangers in the older sets. If you play the old video games almost every monster has a double counterpart. Sometimes the same type, sometimes not.
In english sometimes we get cards named like winged dragon guardian of the fortress #1 and 2, but in the Japanese version they just have normal names and all the older cards have pairs like that.
Real fans knew all of this already

another legal Yu-Gi-Oh card that's impossible to summon. That would be Elemental Hero Neo Bubbleman, who requires you to tribute Bubbleman and Metamorphosis. But since Metamorphosis is still banned in the TCG you can't legally summon Neo Bubbleman. Not that you'd want to since it's worse than vanilla Bubbleman.

Air Neos is not completely dropped. It was referenced by name in a recent YCS, it's featured in non gacha games and its design is present on the card Dimension Explosion, which is on both Master Duel and Duel Links. It seems that the combination of name and design are the problem, not one or the other.
I think that the card is barred from being profited from, not being used outright which is why it can't be reprinted or put in gacha games but can be put in offline games, in the latter single cards are far less relevant to monetary decisions so it can't be considered a promotional event.
0:01 Well if the OG Air Neos is off the table because of circumstances outside of Konami’s own control, why not simply make a reprint with a different name and artwork but all the same effects? I don’t think any monsters mention A.N specifically, so it’d be a quick fix that should work.
That's what makes it more of a mystery. Konami could easily change art or change the name since we get erratas now and then and have had card names changes.
Maybe they're waiting on a lawsuit to resolve

Got an idea for a (Can be in duel link or master duel)series
Basically you get 4 decks of a character,each representing one of the main arcs of their show
Then after you lose one duel you use the deck from the next arc
If you run out of decks you lose

I had a Blue Eyes Shining Dragon and it was a shame I couldn't play it in playground duels but it was still a relatively rare and cool card back then
You should do a review on if the sliced the sky dragon deck is worth it.

I'm a huge Yu-Gi-Oh fan my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh TCG card is " blue eyes white dragon" a really good card I noticed some card's are banned from use I heard monster reborn is banned
It's very likely that air neos had a pikachu porigon situation instead, just like porigon never showed up again to take the blame for Pikachu's lightnight causing epilepsy, air neos probably was used as a scapegoat to defend normal neos, the hero archetype was always an archetype of parodies, the original one were parodies of American superheroes, neos though was a parody of ultraman, he even shares the name with one, ultraman neos that is, and that's a japanese superhero that counts on only the Japanese public, so competing with yugioh was a huge nono for ultraman, so they probably tried to use copyright against yigioh, and since yugioh can't stop peinting a protagonist's ace monster they stopped printing the second most similar one, air neos who has both of ultraman's main colors, white and red.
Also the date of air neos release is literally just a year before 2 ultraman movies.
i actually think the new monster reborn art looks like some kind of life restoring Krystal or even a blue philosophers stone.
7:41 I think that's incorrect, True Exodia also has an effect that states "your opponent wins the duel" too.
The idea was to find cards that say "you lose" rather than "you win"

I actually have a 1st ed NM ultra Air Neos, but I don’t trust my post office for me to mail it out to be graded. They have a habit of damaging/folding packages regardless of labeling.
