How incredible is the Kentucky Bourbon Trail? TLDR, it is absolutely amazing!

- Tonight we give just a taste of the incredible experiences we have had on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. We plan on releasing videos for each of the distilleries and some of the other special experiences we had while here and there over the coming months, but wanted to kick it off with a bit of a teaser video.

I live in Ohio, and on some of my first trips to Ky. touring distilleries, my GPS would tell me turn right on Highway 27. Well here in Ohio we call that a county road. I felt the same at time s as you two did, but the gps was correct. Also my first trip to Ky. I didn't have a GPS just a MAP and my nose. With the window down I could smell the mash and I knew I was going in the right direction. Happy travels.
The tours are great, and it looks like you had a great experience. I might have been out of town when you where visiting , but next time reach out and I can definitely give you some direction on finding some good liquor stores to hit up.
I took that same road to Makers. That last little curve and hill almost got me. Zoom
So jealous, can't wait to go back. Two years ago my bourbon life was I had a bottle of a mixer and a bottle of a sipper in the cabinet. Went to a wedding in Louisville and the wife and I made it a little mini-vacation and went to a few distilleries. That started my bourbon journey. Can't tell you how many bottles I have now. Thanks so much for sharing this, can't wait to see the other videos.

The modjeskas at old forester are quite possibly the greatest thing I’ve ever ate. Truffles are good too. The wife and I were there on the 17th for old forester and michters. Had a surprise 10year sip at the end of the michters tasting! Looking forward to touring more. Thanks for sharing your tours.
The modjeskas are probably made at a local Louisville candy store that has been in Louisville for like 100 yrs. It’s called Muth’s. Not far from old forester downtown.
They were so good! At the end of Michter's we had a special sample of the barrel proof rye

Looking forward to seeing more of your trip. My wife and I made the road trip there from PA, back in October and loved it. We were actually on that same narrow road to Maker's Mark and hoping we didn't meet a car coming the other direction.
Hah, I was there in November and thought the same exact thing. Met up with one car going the other way but it was towards the end of the road.
I’ve only been to Jack Daniels, George Dickle, Makers Mark. So many others to try.
They were all really interesting and it's cool to see how the different distilleries approach tours
eating breakfast and heading to work soon but watched this first. This looked amazing and so much fun. Told the wife I want to plan a long weekend trip to do all these distilleries 1 day. Thanks for the virtual tour my friend 🥃

Great content. It’s wonderful seeing all those new American Oak barrels being prepared for the scotch whisky industry. To think, in a couple of decades time, a beautiful Springbank or Talisker will be emptied out of them in Scotland. 👌🏻

I just did the Buffalo Trace warehouse tour a couple months back! It was a blast. I also checked out Woodford Reserve’s facility - beautiful. The trip made me fully appreciate all that goes into making me happily intoxicated. 😆
I love the combination of science and craftsman's that goes into bourbon! We only did the Taylor and barrel tours at BT. The barrel was awesome, the Taylor underwhelming

It was our first time on the trail visiting distilleries and across-the-board I was incredibly impressed how much work and effort they are put into it
Great preview of the trip! Glad you enjoyed Kentucky. That drive into Makers from the north gives you a pretty good look at rural KY. Looks kinda like the road I live on. Can't wait to see your "Trail Haul" video. Have a Merry Christmas!

They were all so entirely different!! Kyle at Michters gave us a “secret” tour and unbelievable tasting which really showed us the heart behind Michters! Adam at Rabbit Hole gave us a private tour and tasting. He was so passionate and took so much time with us! Makers made us feel super special with a private tour and tasting! We have so much more video to come
First place was a tie between rabbit hole and old Forester for how much effort they put into it, how thorough they are, and how close to actual production you get to be. Makers was such a beautiful and unique experience because of the property, how close you are to production, and how much time and effort they spend. Michter's Fort Nelson experience is awesome because of the building, explanatory tour, and the bar upstairs. Buffalo trace was cool, especially the barrel tour, but it's so crowded and with construction it's kind of all over the place, but worth a visit. Wild turkey is still doing a modified Covid tour and was essentially a PowerPoint presentation and tasting
I’m going to Bardstown in 2 weeks and this video fired me up. Any tips for visiting Makers?
Memorize the map from Bardstown to Loretto. KY 49 will get you there and then make a left on KY52. GPS will take you to that back road.
At 5:53 When you are getting a glass straight out of the barrel, was that at MM? I am so jealous, it is on my bucket list to drink bourbon straight out of the barrel. Cheers

Yes, when I got to taste the 20yr, 25yr, and celebration I teared up a little. When I tasted the celebration Kyle, our host, said I looked like I found a new religion 😂😂😂 seriously, without all of you it would have never happened so thank you so sincerely

I hope you got more video from each distillery than the little bit this video showed. Also the background music was a distraction, not an added benefit.

Jealous. Had to cancel my trip on first day of drive ... started feeling unwell and tested positive for covid. Be safe!
Hope you recover quickly and get an opportunity to go again soon. I know some of the tours were limited because of Covid so coming after this eventually is over will probably be better
