My old boss moved from roasting coffee to opening a distillery in that area, bardstown is insane for bourbon. His stuff is pretty good, Rabbit Hole Distillery is his, great guy!
I used to be obsessed with youtube and kinda lost my way. Brewzle is by far one of the channels that brought back my youtube VIDEO love and not just keeping me scrolling reels
This looks like the best day out ever. TJ man, you can handle your whiskey. I would have needed to be scraped off the floor after that many pours in one day. Love the video as always.
22:07 - Um...80 degrees? It was 90+ Saturday and Sunday...lol. Good times but hot 🔥!!! The CVMA®KY Chapter I am with pulled security on the VIP Entrance and the VIP Tent. It was great seeing and talking to so many cool people!
Wonderful video as always Brewzle! My wife and I are not far away living in Ohio but we have yet to make it to this festival. Time to plan for next year because this looked fun!
I am a scotch man. The only bourbon I've ever tried and kind a liked was your run of the mill Bulleit. But this guy... The way he is relaxed and free all the time. The amount of content and happiness he has in his voice. It's so relaxing. I guess bourbon has got something to do with it? I need me some bourbon after watching these videos. What would you recommend that is globally available? Apart from JD's and Bulleit?
Most of us Yanks won't be much help, because we don't know what bourbon you can get oversees. Though I always hear that Blantons and I think Eagle Rare are more common across the pond. I personally started out with Scotch, and then my tastes grew to include bourbon thanks to bottles like WFDO and JD SBBP. I never cared much for any of the "entry level" bourbons - JD Old No 7 and Bulleit are fine for mixing, but they don't do anything for me neat. Maybe try asking on r/liquor or somewhere like that? I'd try to find some fellow countrymen who like bourbon, their recommendations will be more useful. Cheers!
Hey Brewzle/TJ, you should come to the whiskey bar called The Bees Knees in Hayden, Idaho! We have the largest selection of whiskeys in the entire state! It's operated by a couple and I happen to be the "whiskey nerd" of the bar! We have the Michter's 20 yr, Heaven Hill 17 and 20 yr, the newest Parker's Heritage bottle and many MANY rare bottles at the bar! We're also an award winning bar! Hope you can come down to Idaho sometime! Big Fan!
You have the influence. Don't doubt your prowess. I'm new to your channel, but I love the videos. I'm planning to do some local bourbon hunting in Louisiana and Mississippi with my buddy soon, and it all started with your videos. 👍🏻👍🏻Keep up the good work.
I went to the Kentucky Bourbon Festival the first 4 years in a row. It's been like 4-5 years since ive been back. 2024 has to be it. Every bourbon enthusiast needs to experience it at least once. It's a phenomenal time.
For those of us in the icey snowy climates, I can't recommend snow tires enough; the money saved on 'stuck in an obvious normally avoidable situations' could be put towards bottles of EC23 and a warm weather vacation.
Short Video Idea: You can try what we used to call a southern sour. You make it with equal parts Sprite, Sweet and sour mix, and southern comfort. I would love to get your take on it. Plus I see you reviewing drinks that include fireball so I am sure you can include a little southern comfort ;). Much love for my favorite whiskey-tuber.
I've got a new drink for you guys to try. I don't have a name for it, but it's a can of Sprite, about an ounce of rum (preferably spiced), and fresh grapefruit juice. You can garnish with a wedge of grapefruit, too.
Definitely a blast being at the KYBF. Nice bumping into you. I still get credit for telling you guys to go a few months back in a live stream 😆. So you can blame me for spending all that money on all those bottles!
If you haven't already, you should try Bear Wallow Distillery in Nashville, Indiana. It's not MGP. There are 2 barrel picks at ABV barrel shops in St. Louis currently. Doesn't make it out of our state typically. Also do tours of the distllery. My favorite local whiskey.
Great video Brewzle! Please do more Kentucky Bouron Festival videos! Weekly if possible! But seriously, your content is great, your editing is phenomenal! The bar scene was great, trying multiple rare bourbons. Whiskey bar flights episodes? Just an idea. You do you! And thanks for the great content!
Bold statement.....C & K batch 1 & 2 were 2 of 3 bottles I ever considered to be drain pours. (I would never drain some whiskey, just leave it for party mixers)
Just curious, around 9:55 when you're in that shop you're drinking from a pretty elegant whisky glass. It does not seem to be a glencairn. Any clue ast to what glass that is?
Really enjoyed this one, CJ! I can’t believe I haven’t done that festival yet. Next year for sure! Question- do you know about High Bank Distillery in Columbus, Ohio. If not, I’ll send you samples.
I've still got a Ch1 Little Book my dad gave me. I'm a person that will save a $20 bottle given as a gift while having no issue opening an 18 year old Scotch i bought myself.
Opened my Baker's 13 last night. Very good, but I think I'm with Jill. Get me a Cellar Aged, please, Jill. I'll drink it with you. I even went to MM distillery and got shut out.
I thought that was you at the cigar area. It was nice to meet you. I didn't realize I was in the presence of greatness. I hope to see you there next year. I hope to see some reviews of the bottles that you got.
@@Brewzle the old Jett Bros bourbon is great but my favorite is the Kentucky single barrel straight bourbon. If I remember correctly it got double gold at the world spirit festival in San Francisco last year.
I want to go to this festival. I am still amazed you can buy bottles at the festival, in my area they just give you a list of nearby stores that will be open the next day.
I'm a huge fan of the Michter's Toasted Finished Barrel Rye 2023, but I agree you need to be alright with a toasted finish. In this case it tastes like a honey barrel finish. But at 108ish (varies by the batch), it's a nicely balanced sweet as heck banger! Edit: further into the video, I'd agree that other stuff trumps the M20. I have an empty M20b and even i'd say that for the price to quality ratio, lots of stuff beats the M20. The Toasted Rye, Maker's Cellar Aged, and many others are a much better value for the price. And really, M20 isn't 2k good. It's not WLW, Pappy 20, or Mister Sam.
Brewzle, I have a few Weller antiques I would gladly part ways with, I’d rather trade for samples than cash. If you’re interested let me know. I live in Ohio so it’s all MSRP.
Yet to find a Whiskey that can beat what Lagavulin 16 offers for 150 a bottle. The Bakers conversation made me realize that no Bourbon has ever really come close.

Thanks for the shout out. I didn't look or sound drunk at all.
It's a bourbon fest. We had a good time. Thanks for the pours!
I love that Jill! "I like what I like!" Jill I just love watching you in these videos
True. If he had blinded it, they would probably have been closer.
I don't even drink and I gotta watch these bourbon hunting videos we need a brewzle TV show
That would be cool
yes, he is like a prickly hedgehog but fun to watch. he is healthy like a mountain bear even with so much consumption 😂

Great video. My first visit to this festival and thanks for taking me along. Cheers to the Brewzle family.
that 11k bottle if i was rich id buy it crack it open and give everyone in the store a shot it would be an amazing memory and experience

Don’t know the first thing about whiskey but I love watching people talk about what they are passionate about.
Straight up told the RD1 guy to not screw up the single barrel with that Amburana Finish. Savage! 😂 Love your content! Cheers!
Nobody gives their opinion without sounding offensive like Brewzle. So good on camera and a killer personality to boot!
That Hartfield rep is dedicated to her craft. You said sell me a bottle, but she could have sold me on the whole damn tent 😂
Looks like a great time! Thanks for letting us tag along
I don't even drink bourbon, but I love your vids, keep it up!
Thank you for the shoutout. It was a pleasure talking to you at the festival. Glad you liked the PD challenge coin.

Sounds great!
I don’t even drink whiskey but these videos are super nice to watch
So moral of the story is... Have a media pass or forget getting any good bottles 😅
I was glad that I got to meet you at this years festival! Hope to see you at a future festival! Cheers TJ!

I wasn't aware of this festival. Definitely going next year. Time to start saving for all the bottles though.
It's really fun! You should go

Love your content man! Just getting into whiskey and love all your videos!
Awesome! Thank you!
Way to go Jill with the honest review, don't be swayed by the age statement on the Michter's. Dying to find a Cellar Aged myself.
Brewzle gets funnier as he keeps drinking 🤣

Both of the beer recs I’ve heard from Will are 2 of my favorite beers, I can tell he has good taste

I sense a theme with the term "Shananagans" I bet a shirt would would do well
Will needs to get on this
FANTASTIC video…so much information and fun to watch…do More people
Awesome video, definitely would love to visit that festival in the future 😬
You should!
@@Brewzle oh I definitely will from the UK 🇬🇧 so will definitely put a plan together
Wish we had things like this in the UK!
Snap I would love that
"Anyone know a good divorce attorney?" No you did not just say that! LOL. Love Brewzle content! Cheers to everyone! 🍹
I was at Evergreen Liquors later that night. That Double Eagle Very Rare was sold!
wow! Lots of folks with lots of money.

Whiskey bar flights and whiskey bar fights. Perfect combo
another great video, also digging those Dillon optics shades…can’t beat those unique opaque lenses.
Awesome video thank you!!

Great video thanks!
The simultanious "yes" answering if he's going broke 😂
Great video looks like a fun time!
Dude in the orange shirt is WASTED 😂
You should go get an Irish coffee from the Buena Vista Cafe! Too good 👍
Makes me feel like my bourbon shelf needs an upgrade… in my opinion the rarest bourbon I have atm is a maker DNA 115 proof un-opened.
Just curious, around 9:55 when you're in that shop you're drinking from a pretty elegant whisky glass. It does not seem to be a glencairn. Any clue ast to what glass that is?

Dallas, Texas my city where I was born and raise
I still live in Dallas and always will
That whiskey stagger was getting pretty strong by the time he said he had to skip some tents.
Wasn't staggering, but yeah, lots of heat and whiskey on day 2.
bro you are tanked 3/4 of the time. I'm surprised you even try driving to these things.
Really enjoyed this video.
Awesome, thank you!
You need to go to Bourbon and Beyond. More about the music than the Bourbon but it’s a good time.
Looks like a blast! Gotta make it down next year. Greetings from Louisville…keep doin’ whatcha DO!!! 🥃🥃
Will do!! Thank you
Looks like a good time.
Killer video man love the longer videos
Thanks boss!
Did you get to try anything from Neeley Distillery? They’re out of Sparta Kentucky and won quite a few awards already. Very very good in my opinion!
I didn't.. what should I get?
@@Brewzle the old Jett Bros bourbon is great but my favorite is the Kentucky single barrel straight bourbon. If I remember correctly it got double gold at the world spirit festival in San Francisco last year.

I wish these was longer
What are those sunglasses? I like the finish on the lenses.
love your videos
Loved this video
Hmm, ham in the Rickhouse? Might explain the Booker's unique flavor profile 😂
Perhaps hahaha
If you need a German Shepard in Oklahoma this guy bought me michters
Great video.
Love the Bourbon content but I have to know where you got those sunglasses 😂
Dillon Optics!
What kind of sunglasses are those? I love that matte finish on the lenses. I’d like to order a pair.
Dillon optics
I am digging the sunglasses...where did you get those?
So what was number 1 or better yet best 5 of the festival? I would have been messed up after an all day tasting.

Were you able to get a bottle of woodford reserves limited release of toasted oak four grain?
The intro song instantly stood out as a staple from the Dawid Does Tech Tips channel. Crazy overlap on my algorithm... maybe I'm on YT a bit too much
Wow!! I wish I was there. Looks like a great time. Does this event happen only in the fall?
Yes, I believe so. Every September
After spending 1.7k I’ll give you a super like good sir
