Wow, a few simple changes and it's wide open. I changed the DAC setting, Changed the Interconnects and added my higher end power cord and it was night and day. Now i'm seriously doing some critical and musical listening.....
hi Sajid, didn't you have Accuphase E-380 and not E-5000? Were you able to spent considerable amount of time with E-5000 paired with Susvara? Would love to see a review :)
Riviera AIC-10, Trafomatic Primavera, viva Egoists 845, Wa 33 elite, Aries cerat genus , and the mass kobo are generally considered the best hp almost for Sus.
You're the only reviewer who talks about Oor's boring and lifeless treble, and I completely agree with you! Hypsos is not helping it. I thought that I was crazy, because all other reviewers never mentioned that. Personally, I moved to Soncoz SGP1 speaker amp. It drivers my Tungsten DS better than Oor+Hypsos or Burson Soloist 3x GT, but costs just $1100.
Thanks! Do you think the Hifiman SERENADE or EF600 is good enough for the Susvara? Or is there something else up to 2k€ you would recommend to drive these? I'm just looking to drive the susvara as good as possible via my PC connection - I do not need any speaker function or streamer or anything.
GM☕️ I’ve ended my headphone amp/DAC search and I’m good. Bryston BHA-1 (preamp) Denafrips 12-1 DAC Schitt Lokius EQ AUDEZE LCDX 2021…and I’m good . Accuphase E-280, Denon SX11 and Willsenton R-800i here for Susvarra. My best setup is with the class A tube amp but it needs more setup compare to connect directly to my solid state amps.
If I want to maximize sound stage of the Susvara to the level of Sennheiser hd800s does the mass-kobo 465 do it? also thank you this video really helps am looking for end game susvara/1266TC Amplifier but stage is top priority.
I truly value your reviews and opinions.. I'm a bit baffled . I just got the Riveria AIC-10 to pair with my Susvara and Lina Dac. Very, Very early impressions.I don't hear any slam at all with Susvara. I have the prelude amp as well and so far that low end is much more dynamic and impactful??? The rest of the amp description I agree with but the low end has me almost depressed that my $2500 amp is more dynamic? I must have somethig off. I am going to swap out my JPS superconductor interconnects for Moon Silver dragon and see if that helps? Im perplexed I was expecting nirvana ! So far for almost 20K not so much...........im getting bummed. Hoping breaking in will also make a difference? about 30 hours so far so yes it is way early but I was so surprised to find the low end so light. Tube roll already? I do mostly streaming on Roon , Any thoughts?
Wow! Did I blow it by making any conclusions that early. Apologies and Hugh update. I replaced a bad interconnect cable. Did get the headphones cable with speaker tap ends. The result is electro-stat clarity and intense detail with The exact amount of needed SLAM. I never heard from Susvara before. Basically a heavenly match! Apologies for the emotional gibberish above. Seriously I really had a second take on this set up after my cable replacement
Greetings from Northern California! I will be reviewing the Susvara Unveiled. I will be reviewing using the HIFIMAN EF1000 DAC, which, of course should be fabulous, but I own the Pass Labs HPA-1 class A headphone amp. The Susvara Unveiled is easier to drive, so I was wondering if you think the Pass Labs would be a good amp? The output voltage is power into 300 ohms 200 mW.Only single ended input jack... For the Pass Labs the DAC I will be using the Topping DX7 Pro. thanks, I still love your reviews even though you've gone to the IEMs. :)
@@davidpilon9433 Not really, at least not to the world of audio. Perhaps I am a bit naïve but I am always a bit surprised when folks fall to obvious click baits. I should set my expectations of humans a bit lower.
Did not try with the susvara. Based on my short demo, i found it to be very neutral and polite sounding for my taste. Treble was extended but not too sharp, mids and bass were a little laid back but still well presented. Was using the final d8000 along with some matrix dac, can't remember which one.
I would take GoldenSounds take on the AMP-23R with a grain of salt. I've got the newer version (3rd iteration, SN HXXX) of it and enjoying it more than the Zahl HM1 that I bought a month ago.
Aligned with ferrum oor + susvara being 'not my thing.' I went from that to the ahb2 and my mind exploded. At the time i even liked the ef400 with the sus better than the oor.

Nice one. I found it a bit sterile and it didn’t stand out for me compared to other speaker amps.

I have aic10+lina. Use the speaker taps. Get double helix headphone cables. Upgrade your power cables.

Any comparisons between Auris Nirvana & Manley Absolute Headphone Amplifier. Have you tried any? If so how did it perform?
can you tell me how much you have to turn the volume knob form each amps to hear the maximum volume from susvara?
Feliks Envy with Elrog300TM + G73R
Someone finally tells the truth about topping. I'm starting to believe that most so called audiophiles have terrible hearing.
Do you believe that this guy really has tested the amplifiers? Why should he then show the pictures on a tablet?

Very tempted to join the Susvura club. But cannot decide on the amp. Was eyeing Violectric V550, has anyone tried it?

Can anyone recommend a (balanced) cable upgrade for the Susvara? I have a Niimbus HPA US 4+.
Envy is the best 😊
20:18 I remember reading that the ahb2 couldn't beat the topping a90 in a blind test among audiophiles
Unlikely. I am sure you’ll pass the said blind test.

Great info. But what about Head Trip II tho? 🤔
Riviera for me still king closely followed by MK465
When my Susvara goes up against the Shark Navigator there is nothing for it but the iCan Signature amp.

Those owners who acquired HiFiMan’s own EF1000 always seem to rave about it.
Prefer Envy to Rivera by far.
