I got broken up with for my birthday last year, just a few weeks after I miscarried, because he thought I was too depressed and he "wasn't able to cheer me up." So when I responded with "okay you're right I should work on myself and heal, let's break up" he tried to make me feel guilty for not wanting to work on the relationship. I'd discovered he cheated recently before that, and when I confronted him about it he changed his story 3 times, and never admitted it. I wasn't going back, I thanked him for his time, and I was thankful for the opportunity to leave, it just sucks it was on my birthday.
It's been just over a year since then, no contact, no dating, no nothing, and I feel better than I have in years. I'll admit I'm strongly considering abstaining until marriage. I know now God was giving me and that baby an out from a really bad situation, and putting me back on my path. They're both watching out for me up there.

1:30 The 1st major red flag that should've made you flee for your life is that he wanted to be a cop. A national of a state wanting that is already a major red flag. But an immigrant wanting to participate up close in the system of WS is just nauseating. 40% of p¡gs in the US assault their significant other. 6:35 I'm sorry, I don't agree that fighting only happens when you are incompatible. I don't know why people idealized romantic relationships to the point where they think they should be above common foibles of every other kind of relationship. You fight with your friends and your parents sometimes. Why on earth wouldn't you fight with your significant other? What matters is HOW you fight and whether you can come to an understanding founded in love and trust afterward.
I dont fight with my friends or my parents. I sure as hell aint putting up with fighting some man. "All my life i had to fight" 🙅🏾♀️ no thanks. Mature people, who manage their emotions, have civilized discussions with resolutions.
The same way that most women will drop their life long friends instantly- for betrayal, bad attitudes, not showing up for them etc- they will label these kind of friends as haters.. BUT, their “man” can cheat on them for years, lie to them constantly, ghost them, use them, and somehow - they will still leave the door open for the man. They will even go so far as to say he’s in love with them, and can’t leave them alone.
Fighting, constant disrespect etc is definitely a sign of incompatibility. Disagreements are normal. Abuse is not normal.
Girl when someone wants to self sabotage every other day will be a fight 🤷🏻♀️ you can’t always assume it’s always two people making the problems. Sometimes it’s just one.
