    Super video - actual real-world testing of the product. Thanks for the effort in making this! For me, it would have been interesting to hear the noise levels when charging and under the various loads... but still the best video I've seen on this in use.

    I think we all need to take into account that, with actual use the time will decrease. Given the fact that if the door is being opened and closed. The compressor will definitely be in use more. I was getting 500w surges, while the refrigerator was trying to keep cool, with my kids in and out of the fridge. So for best performance, open the doors as little as possble 😊

    • @theresatrickforthat
      @theresatrickforthat  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      You’re exactly right! That’s why I wanted to run the test on my main fridge that gets opened and closed frequently so that we could see somewhat of a worse case scenario. You can actually see in the time lapse that during the night when the fridge wasn’t getting opened and closed, it pulled substantially less power than during the day. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    I'm living in my RV and have the Pioneer 9k unit as well.. 2300' in S. Oregon. Wish I got the 12k.. lol.. but I have the Wifi module and can control it from anywhere with an internet connection.. Got it connected to my Alexa as well... So I tell her to turn it on, off and\or set the temp. But I'm here for the Eco flow's.. I have the Delta and the Delta 2 with 2 spare batteries. I use one of them almost daily for some 12v cooking. I have a nice solar system here as well.. but the wires to my inverter aren't big enough to run the mini split. Oh.. I se my Delta's to run my washer and dryer too. Got a couple of vids on my channel of all sorts of things.

    Hey man that was awesome!! I appreciate all the time and effort you put into it!!! VERY helpful. I'm curious, how long do you think I could power a gaming laptop, or a desktop system with 3 monitors hooked up? Officially Subscriber Number 715 😁

    • @theresatrickforthat
      @theresatrickforthat  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching, commenting and subscribing! I’m happy to hear the video was helpful to you! At this time in all honesty, I’m not 100% sure how long it would power a gaming setup for. But it sounds like a good test I should run! I have a pretty decent gaming desktop set-up (use it mostly for video editing and only two monitors however) and of course hardware configurations will vary…but I’d say a subscription from you, plus the good idea is worth making another video testing a gaming desktop runtime on the Delta 2 Max. So keep an eye on your subscription feed in the next few weeks…we’ll get a video out testing that!

      Buy a kill-o-watt meter and you can test the power consumption of just about anything you plug into it.
      From there you can calculate watt hours needed.

    Thanks, I wanted to see how this handled motors, especially using more than a horsepower (approx 770 watts). I have a lift pump application for a sump that needs backup with low duty cycle of 15 seconds on, 20-30 minutes off. Your video really helped me decide on the Delta 2 Max, running in E.P.S. mode, keeping state of charge at 90%. Having 2 MPPT 500 watt inputs, even if power is out for days, the power station should easily keep up with even on a hundred watt-hours of solar energy delivered on a cloudy day.

    Totally glad you did this video with the Pioneer mini split air conditioner. I have a couple of delta pros with extra batteries and have been trying to figure out a system that will work when the power goes out here in the summer.. I want to run a 12,000 btu pioneer 110 volt unit directly to my Ecoflow without tying into my home panel. I have been trying to decide whether I need a disconnect switch or transfer panel. I just want to run a heavy duty power cord from the mini split into my house to the ac outlet and wasn't sure it could be done. Because most reviews I have read says that it has to be connected to a permanent dedicated breaker box per code. And not directly to a 110/120 wall outlet. The delta pro will be recharging with the 400 watt solar panels and Ecoflow dual fuel generator. Just wondering if this setup will work for power outages.

    • @theresatrickforthat
      @theresatrickforthat  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching and commenting! If you install a mini-split, it should be installed up to all current codes and requirements for wherever you live. However, as you saw in my video, so long as you get the 110 V model mini split, you can temporarily wire in an appropriately sized gauge extension cord that will plug directly into your power station and run the mini split no problem during a power outage.

    • @OFFGRID_Trucker
      @OFFGRID_Trucker ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a Delta and Delta 2 with spare battery. I can run my 9K pioneer mini split with no problem.. so I'm sure you could too. plug in some panels outside and wire a plug onto it and plug it in. Do not involve the house. This is totally separate from it. keep it simple. plug in the MS and the panels to it.. they don't pull that much power as you saw. It should run for a solid 5 hrs or more...

    Good testing and video, Thank You. One question. You said the refrigerator was normally used during the test. How much was it used, (approximate number of times each compartment opened and for how long over the test duration). This of course being the primary factor that determines how much the refer runs at full power. Thanks again. PS: I bought 2 of these recently because I've seen a lot of positive reviews and tests of them. It's a great unit.

    When you completed your refrigerator test the delta 2 max depleted to zero and turned off. When you plugged in the AC cord to charge it, did the unit start up by its self or did you turn it on?
    I am looking for a home emergency backup system. I am trying to decide between the new Delta 2 Max and the new Jackery 2000 plus. If I go on vacation and use the system in UPS mode for my refrigerator and freezer and the battery goes dead, does the unit turn back on when either solar or ac come back on? Thank you.

    • @theresatrickforthat
      @theresatrickforthat  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching and commenting! The unit does automatically power on and charge up after it dies and power is supplied via AC charging cable. What does not happen automatically is the AC inverter does not turn back on…however I believe they added a setting in the app where you can program the option for the AC inverter to automatically turn on once charging starts.

I'm in the UK & our homes have 240v throughtout as standard.The cam set up to show the delta pro, with the washer & dryer running, at the same time, should have been showing the DP & washer/dryer,but didn't.Why do I have an issue with that, well another vid was recommended on the same Item, which is UK based.A microwave on for 6 mins pulled more power & went from 100% to 76.As an Amazon affiliate v's someone who bought their delta 2 max themselves.I think I'd rather go with their real life reviews of how it might be useful for a few hours charge in a pinch

      @@theresatrickforthat This is my first time watching this video. What he says is true. I have 3 Ecoflow Delta 2000 first generation units that I daisy chain for 6000+ watt capacity when I travel out of town as I experienced several outages throughout the year. I also use my fridge to cycle my units to zero every 3 or 4 months to maintain units healthy. My refrigerator is a 26.cu.ft. refrigerator that draws 115V at 7.2 amps peak, and averages around 120 to 140 watts when compressor runs. When it is defrosting it uses about 450 watts. My refrigerator runs for about 25 to 40 minutes than the compressor shuts off and my EcoFlow will show zero watt output for about 20 to 30 minutes, depending on time of year and temperatures.

    How many watts is the fridge?

      It's rated for 6.5 amps at 120 volts. So that would make it rated for 780...but I think that's only while it's running and doing a defrost cycle in the freezer at the same time. When it's running normally as you can see in the video, it only pulls 100ish watts most of the time. Thanks for watching and commenting!

      Delta 2 has lifepo batteries. It’s more like 3000 cycles now.
