  • This is round 9 of the 2003 Chevy Trucks 125cc AMA Motocross Championship from Spring Creek Motocross Park in Millville, MN.
Returning 125cc contenders like 125cc Sophomores Billy Laninovich and Eric Sorby, former 250cc riders Ryan Hughes and 5-time Arenacross champ Buddy Antunez, 2001 125cc MX champ Mike Brown, Grant Langston, 125cc East SX champ Branden Jesseman, Brock Sellards, Steve Boniface, Michael Byrne, Stephane Roncada, and defending (and 125cc West SX) champ James "Bubba" Stewart battle it out for the 2003 Chevy Trucks 125cc Motocross Championship. After spending 2002 in retirement due to tons of concussions, Ryan Hughes makes a return to professional racing in the 125cc class for the first time since 1995, and his first pro season since 2001. This race marks the professional debut of Suzuki hot-shot Broc Hepler. Suzuki teammate, Branden Jesseman is knocked out of the Motocross series after injuring his arm. Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Mike Brown pulls out of both motos, and eventually, the rest of the summer. The KTM team benches Steve Boniface (and later releases him) for refusing to follow team tactics to try to win the championship with Grant Langston now the new points leader. After the horrifying incident with Ryan Hughes at Washougal (which resulted in an injured shoulder), Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Mike Brown tries to race at the next round, but the pain proves to be too much and Brown pulls out of both motos... and eventually, the rest of the 2003 125cc National season.
    Enjoy.

Excellent video. Watching James on the 125 is like watching Beethoven compose.
