His singing sounds completely natural. This is rare indeed: a young boy who has developed a perfect singing technique. A very beautiful voice and a very beautiful performance! I was absolutely over the moon when you very tastefully ornamented the repeat as is stylistically correct and necessary. I could do with more volume in the lower register, but perhaps that is a miking issue. Just keep singing! Such a pity that your career comes during this lockdown time, preventing more people from hearing you live...perhaps your soprano voice will last on long enough for concerts to resume. Nonsense! Cai Thomas sings this even more beautifully than Aksel Rykkvin did, and there is nothing inappropriate about it. What is inappropriate for young boys (and girls) to be singing is arrangements of, for example, "Shape of You" by Ed Sheeran, and other (much more suggestive) popular songs, which many school choir directors these days are getting their kids to sing, to try and make the choir feel "modern and relevant ". Utterly despicable.

Obviously something's are appropriate for certain performances and others aren't. It all depends on the type of choir, where they're performing, and why they are performing.

You are right. Aksel Rykkvin was super for that too. You could just see it on his facial expression and intonations. He is now a superb baryton.
