she starts to like him because she sees how sweet he is to wintrhop and how he made her so happy... trust me i play harold hill in this musical i know it by heart
They filmed Lida Rose/Will I Ever Tell You a lot better than the '62 version. Instead of just having them sing the two songs they got a little action into it. A lot more imaginative.
I hope this gets some people interested in joining their local barbershop chorus. It's a music form that needs preservation. These close harmony songs did it for me so that I joined Sweet Adelines.
Aw, that look at 5:40 is so heartbreaking! Debra Monk and Kristin Chenoweth are so great as mother/daughter characters! And I didn't like the hat either, but wow was the song great!
my schools winthrop is so much cuter than this one, like seriously the girls cant keep a straight face in front of him without going all adorable kid mode
the little boy is soooo adorable!!

And now he's immortalized as the main character in the video game, Jedi Fallen Order.
"Say old timer, you know where I ca find Elm street?"
"Yes" walks away.

broadwaystar92 It is now 8 years later and that boy is one of the hottest stars in Hollywood.
he's also the Joker now
Winthrop looks alot like his mom X) I love this movie. I guess Marian must look like her father.
Lida Rose is probally one of the best songs:)
This guy is more slippery than an eel! And those who touch him may get electrocuted. This song ROCKS!
The barbershop courtet is the most amazing and beautiful thing I have ever seen!! Wow that's so frekin cool!!
Harold Hill: (singing) Lida Rose I'm home again Rose. You four just fell for that hoax again.
Charlie Cowell is the one static character throughout the whole story. He starts out bitter and ends bitter.
Lida Rose is probably my second favorite song the quartet sings! (After goodnight ladies... Long story haha)

Agreed.
Yeah, action! Total action movie, right? Can't believe the special effects sucked so much in '62. No guns or explosions or nothing
Yes, thank you! This is my favorite song of the show :)
I'm doing this at a theatre in Iowa. Hope you do good random person!

Look at it... its a 4 rows with 12 stars... minus alaska and hawaii. the current flag has alternating rows short/long.

If Harold Hill is Jewish, ,does that constitute an antisemitic stereotype
