    Turn the wheel out so you hv more room to wrk in, also remove cap on brake reservoir. Makes it easier to push piston back in cause fluid is being pushed back into the reservoir with no pressure

    I'm planning on replacing the pads on my 2014 Nissan Sentra and it looks pretty simple but I was wondering if I should replace my rotors also even though they are in good condition. Apparently there is a debate about that. It's my understanding that newer rotors are not made to be resurfaced or machined because they are manufactured thinner than they use to be.
    Some mechanics recommend it but some don't. What do you think?

    • @RBTheMechanic
      @RBTheMechanic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Doamino41 if rotors look nice clean shiny no glazed spots then I would leave them alone also if there’s no brake vibration when pressing peddle at high speed ... also if they r old 3 or more years then I would replace them but u can make the best judgment ... take your time doing it clean the bracket and make sure brake pads go in smoothly shouldn’t have to force them in!

    I changed rotor and brakes but the right side is making noise like the pad is rubbing. I did add a new caliber pin because the boot was missing on the end of the bolt greased it up. Back bolts are torque at 122 and caliper torque at 22.
    My question is would u replace the hose first ? Or replace the caliper first?

    • @RBTheMechanic
      @RBTheMechanic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why replace the hose or caliper? There’s no first or second. If they both bad replace then togather if hose is bad caliper is good replace hose if caliper is jammed replace caliper u just have to check
