Don't be surprised about so many great music coming from former Yugoslavia. We had very strong influence of mostly British and American rock, metal and punk bands back in 70s and 80s. It's really impressive that good music found a way to reach us under communism and with no internet and mass media.
Great one Rob, one of my five favorite bands (domestic) :) Name of band is "Rhythm of disoreder" (serbian "Ritam nereda), they are one of most influential bands in serbian HC punk scene, with antisystem and antiregime lyrics. Can you pls do the "Bjesovi - Kisa" or "Bjesovi - Cak i da mogu", that is also one of my favorite bands, possible and greatest :)
Hi Rob, here is the translation of the song... (not a literal translation) Ritam Nereda => Rhythm of Disorder (Rhythm of Disobedience) Put Beznadja => Hopeless road // road of hopelessness Verse 1: Gotovo je, skupilo se => This is the end, this is the last drop Uzdržavaš se da ne pukneš => You are calming yourself just enough not to burst I kazaćeš svima dosta je => And you saying to all: “Enough with all of this” Da dosta je => Yeah, enough is enough Dugo su te vodili slepci => For far too long you have been led by those blind men Dugo su lutali, pricali => Forever have they wandered and told tall tales Zatvarali oči,prespavali noći => Covered your eyes, and pushed you into the dark Sad kasno je => But NOW it’s too late (for all that) Chorus: I doći će dan kada ćeš sam => There will come the day, when you shall Krenuti putem beznađa => Go down the “hopeless road” Želeći da kao nikad do sad => Wanting like you have never wanted anything before Pobediš sam => To win on your own
I doći će dan kada ćeš sam => There will come the day, when you shall Krenuti putem beznađa => Go down the “hopeless road” Želeći da kao nikad do sad => Wanting like you have never wanted anything before Pobediš sam => To win on your own Verse 2: Vezali te,koristili => They have tied you down, and all used you up Svašta su s tobom radili => Did all the things (they wanted) to you Izmenili dušu,prodali => Broke your soul, and then sold it I vređali => And diminished you I ustaješ sam kazes da znaš => You will stand up, and tell them that you know Ja više neću sa vama => I won't go along with your agenda (I won't be a part of your system) Dosta je bilo laganja => We are all sick and tired of all of your lies Ja idem sam => I will walk alone (i shall carve my own path) Chorus:
I was love them when I was 16 maybe they come at right time and that was their best album every song was strong!!! At that time in Serbia yeah at piont!

Hey Rob, you awesome, gray bearded balkan rock voyager. I appreciate you obligin my Ritam Nereda request.. Let me indulge you into some acquired taste, cult like circle of music/bands from Serbia which happen to be my religion... Yes. This is for them folks who truely enjoy rainy, gloomy days and minor progressions on that 6 string fiddle. So you have been warned, good sir. It all basically revolves around this musical genius dude named Nikola Vranjkovic. True artist. Just like Zoran Marinkovic from a band "Bjesovi" which you reacted to one song from year or two back. If you find the time and will, react to his solo career (and current) songs off the masterpiece double album called "Veronautika". Songs like "Fotelja" or "Zadrzi svoj dah". His former band which he was a guitar player and a backup vocalist for, called "Block Out" is eaqually amazing. Songs like "Tata brada" and "Bedem".. Badass bro. Soooo many songs that are incredibly unique and in no way copies of western trends at the time nor Balkan rock infuenced. Truely unique. Also band called "Covek Vuk" (Man wolf), which consists of all the guys from Block Out minus Vranjkovic. Songs "Dlan" or "Mala Vida". Lots of material, I know... Enjoy the voyage and cheers to you my Canadian broski, Igor

Hi Rob,
here is the translation of the song...
(not a literal translation)
Ritam Nereda => Rhythm of Disorder (Rhythm of Disobedience)
Put Beznadja => Hopeless road // road of hopelessness
Verse 1:
Gotovo je, skupilo se => This is the end, this is the last drop
Uzdržavaš se da ne pukneš => You are calming yourself just enough not to burst
I kazaćeš svima dosta je => And you saying to all: “Enough with all of this”
Da dosta je => Yeah, enough is enough
Dugo su te vodili slepci => For far too long you have been led by those blind men
Dugo su lutali, pricali => Forever have they wandered and told tall tales
Zatvarali oči,prespavali noći => Covered your eyes, and pushed you into the dark
Sad kasno je => But NOW it’s too late (for all that)
Chorus:
I doći će dan kada ćeš sam => There will come the day, when you shall
Krenuti putem beznađa => Go down the “hopeless road”
Želeći da kao nikad do sad => Wanting like you have never wanted anything before
Pobediš sam => To win on your own
I doći će dan kada ćeš sam => There will come the day, when you shall
Krenuti putem beznađa => Go down the “hopeless road”
Želeći da kao nikad do sad => Wanting like you have never wanted anything before
Pobediš sam => To win on your own
Verse 2:
Vezali te,koristili => They have tied you down, and all used you up
Svašta su s tobom radili => Did all the things (they wanted) to you
Izmenili dušu,prodali => Broke your soul, and then sold it
I vređali => And diminished you
I ustaješ sam kazes da znaš => You will stand up, and tell them that you know
Ja više neću sa vama => I won't go along with your agenda (I won't be a part of your system)
Dosta je bilo laganja => We are all sick and tired of all of your lies
Ja idem sam => I will walk alone (i shall carve my own path)
Chorus:
Koji si ti car brate, svaka cast...
to Vojislaveeeee
This band is probably best live performing band in Serbia in at least last 20 years. Tnx for doing this one
Wow! Beautiful! 😅
A što je ovo dobro a nikad čuh!
To je car zivota Antune. Uzivaj. Meni su licno najjace malo kasnije stvari od Ritma Nereda kao albumi: 999, Poriv, IX. i Paralelni Svet.
This is most iconic stuff, i wonder why isn't recognised worldwide
