I’ve had B-17 Queen of the skies hidden in my closet for years. After watching your video i’m reacquainting my self and will start flying my own missions soon.
I've been reading the comments, GREAT JOB! You're bringing this game back. You've inspired me to do my own videos, I spent many, many hours playing this in the 90's.
Nice mission, even though you missed the target you know your crew is happy to survive a second mission. 23 to go! I have a soft spot for QotS and other classic games like this! My dad used to play these in the late 80s early 90s. Too bad he sold them off over time! 😮 Good luck on the next one! That ink running out is bad news for your airplane 😢😂
That's cool! I tried to get my dad to play a career of the hunters with me, but I don't think I won him over.. oh yeah that's a shame! Lol IKR, that's a very bad sign!! 😆
Looked at this game back in the day. Wish I had picked it up. if you look at the historical record a lot of bombs were dropped for each it. many missions resulted in little or no damage to the target. As long as you make it back you can drop more!
Crazy that this game existed for far longer than I have, yet I discovered it just a few years ago. Glad that I decided to buy it, and learn how to play it. It's a hoot! Oh yes, I remember that from reading about it. Imagine risking your life in such a manner just to "maybe" hit with a few boms on target. Brutal!

The same shield that's protecting the Amiens railyard seems to be also protecting your bomber from the Luftwaffe (and the FlaK)... Be that as it may, I just noticed that the map shows a border between Germany and Austria. That's grossly incorrect 🙃 _(not to mention that they didn't draw one between German-occupied France and Vichy, either)._
haha! Remember that it's actually the bombardier who is the pilot during the bomb run of a B-17! He has full controll of the plane and the Pilot can't do anything! I know you're trying your best though, so it's ok!

I am rewatching and suddenly noticed that your crew are quite musical. and Australian to boot. Perhaps they should be in the Lancaster variant....
