My husband and I tent camped for years. We now have a travel trailer. And, we also still enjoy backpacking. Because we do a lot of boondocking in our camper, we have to conserve water as well. I have an excellent tip for doing so that I think you’ll like. For rinsing dishes: in a spray bottle, put 1/4 cup white vinegar. Fill the rest of the way with cold water. Spray rinse your dishes. It takes very little water. I hope the plates sideways and spray. The mist from the spray runs off rinsing the plates etc. then I dry. You won’t believe the amount of water you’ll save.
I lived in Houston Texas(Cypress) 30 miles north west for 3 years. I "ONLY" moved there to be close to my son and grandson. When I retired in August 2021 I moved to Montana. Best decision ever! I am not a city person, don't like huge population, or crazy busy crowded freeways at all. I figured if they want to see me they can come here to this beautiful place. I never went anywhere on the freeway for 3 years when I lived there. I stayed in Cypress area unless my son drove and I was still a ball of nerves the whole time. He loves the city. I love the vast beauty here. 2 lane highways sometimes lucky to pass 5 people for hundreds of miles. I'm 90 from East glacier national Park entrance. Never been so happy in my life. I love snow skiing and the 4 seasons so best place for me.
I love all of your videos! I wish I could taste some of Kellie's cooking. I'm old enough to be your dad, but one question. Would you two adopt me please? LOL! I look forward to your videos every week! I wish you would make a new video every day and post it! God bless you two!
As a solo camper (loves showers) you just convinced me to not buy the shower unit-too much effort. However, I liked the concept. I guess I’m doomed to sponge baths. Yuk!😢
Perfect place for a Diamondback Rattler. That spot where Cody was Fishing the People before you two should have put water on the Fire before they left.
I recently visited Rattlesnake Ridge in Arkansas because of this channel. I've lived in AR my whole 42 yrs and climbed Pinnacle Mt. 100 times but never heard of Rattlesnake Ridge until this channel featured it. Can't believe I had never heard of it before. It's literally right down the road ! Thank y'all and I'm super jealous btw.
I love love your off road and forest camping! We are way too old to take down, set up, etc. But in our younger days we tented a lot. Tonight I was watching as you did dishes. I have a way to clean dishes with out hardly any water at all. With an old plastic coffee container, put in a roll of paper towels to fit the height and width of the container. Pour in 1.1 ratio of white vinegar and water. The towels will absorb the mixture, so you now have antibacterial wipes. Also you can put the same ratio mixture in a spray bottle. After wiping dishes with food attached, just spray and wipe with clean paper towel. No need for soap(unless it was very greasy.) Of course, do not use on your cast iron. The wet paper towels have lasted thru our AZ summer, in our vehicle for over 6 months. No bacteria, mold, or dried out paper. Love this for many many uses. No harmful chemicals. Keep on posting so I can live thru your experiences.
If you ever find a place in your travels where you can hear the sounds of nature and birds all the time, you might consider doing one vlog fully non-verbal and just let nature/bird sounds take it's course, pun intended. 😉 It would be a different approach to your channel and it can challenge you as an editor. You can add subtitles where you feel you'd like your audience to know your thoughts or fun facts or anything you want to share in the moment. 😁 With that said, the way you're editing the videos now has been a big step up from months ago, obviously because you've become a professional content creator, and I enjoy your videos quite a bit when I watch them. 👏😊
Cody’s comment about Kelly smelling like a foot made me bust out in laughter and continue to snicker throughout the rest of the video. Funniest thing I ever heard Cody say about Angel Princess! 😘
I have spent the9 past month dispersed camping in NE Texas. Lake Bob Sandlin, Quitman Lake, and Lake Winnsboro. All lakefront sites. I grew up real camping too.
You two bring such joy to my life with your adventures. Seeing how you light up being in the wilderness reminds me of how I feel when I am one with nature. Bless you two!
Those pines look like my favorite tree the red pine. The Huron Manistee national forest where we like to camp in Michigan has some amazing red and white pines so thick you can't wrap your arms around them. Thanks for sharing your setup. I really enjoy your videos!
Pines, pines, pines gotta have them❤️! So happy you found your happy place. And that bacon🥰, Kellie did her happy shoulder dance❤️❤️. I love y’all, loved the walk in the woods. I don’t think you stopped smiling this whole video☺️.
I agree a camp spot in the middle of nothing is the way to go. That spot on the other side of the lake was so nice except I wish those people would not have left a hot fire I see that to often. Everyone needs to make sure your fire is out completely if you can touch the area you are good to go. As Smokey Bear says only you can prevent forest fires...
I’ve been enjoying your vlogs for a year now. I’m an East Texan and hike in the Angelina NF, Sam Houston NF, and Sabine NF. Be aware that it is the time of year for controlled burns that may be decided the day of the burn if conditions are right. The website for the USDA National Forest and Grasslands of Texas has more information. Be safe and Keep Camping!
Glad you found some peace and solitude through dispersed camping once again, although those Texas campgrounds didn't look too crowded compared to the ones we encounter further east. Enjoy peace wherever you can find it.
We are way older than you guys but we are going to sell our 32ft Coachman Freelander and build out a small cargo trailer. We are going back to more simple camping. I love watching you guys. We cook all our meals outside anyway. My husband cooks awesome meals outside.
Oh wow. Y'all were in my neck of the woods. East Texas has great trees and nature. The Mineola Nature Preserve is my favorite go to place to escape from suburban life.
Everything tastes better when you're camping. I love cooking over an open flame. Thank you Cody and Kellie for sharing your adventures with us. I already have my camping trips planned out for the year.
I'm celebrating with you! It's my birthday 🎉🎊🎂. I would love to be there. We're getting ready for a winter snow storm ❄❄❄😫 here in upstate NY. Enjoy your private camp site looks awesome. Happy trails 🤗🏕💕
Hello Cody and Kelley! Another great video! I am trying to catch up with you guys time wise! I watched the next one b4 this one so I know where ur next camp spot is and it is beautiful! I am in the TX Hill Country and it does have its own beauty, but the pine trees in East TX are beautiful and I can see how camping amongst them (and beside the lake) can be more favorable! Kelley, I am so with u on the campfires! I could drag up sticks and logs enough to keep it going and then pull up a chair and stare into the fire for hours! I do love a campfire! Safe travels and until next time!🤗
What I love is that you both are simple Living. Absolutely love following you both. I look forward for Thursday. Yay. Also Ps I got that New Table. Oh yes. Game changer for sure
You picked a beautiful part of East Texas. Lake Sam Rayburn is awesome! Toledo Bend is another favorite. Have fun out there. If you happen to travel north from there you should stop and visit the Texas Bigfoot Museum in Jefferson. Until next time, cheers 🍻
Hey what's a DOME life Mike from Texas I had a whole bunch of stuff to do last night so I didn't have time to watch your videos so first thing this morning that's what I did can't wait for the next one👍👍
Yea Houston traffic is no phone and you just learn to just get in there. Very familiar where you are. Angelina frost is beautiful and peaceful, grew up in that area.
How nice was that forest! You two were like kids in a candy store. So excited. Great cooking & yummy meals. I'm waiting for the weather to warm up a bit here in Wisconsin to start the camping. Maybe by April. I liked the campsite you found by the lake where Cody cast a few lines to fish. Always enjoy your adventures.
Thanks for showing the shower setup - I saw it before when you had it hooked up to the creek. Y'all have this forest life down to a science! I also think it's fun gathering firewood Kellie!
Great video you guys really enjoyed it. The shower tent looks amazing. Wish I had one of those when we went camping. I hate using public showers. Have you ever made haluski? All you have to do is cook the cabbage and onion and garlic and kabasi and then I always put a little chicken broth in it helps the cabbage cook and then add pre-cooked egg noodles stir it all up and I always sprinkle a little parmesan on mine so good.
Boykin Springs park has some clear, spring fed creeks. Bouton Lake park is near Boykin Springs and has a small lake. I don't think that Bouton Lake has a camp fee, and there's a small fee for Boykin Springs park, but also a spot near the park that is free to camp. Boykin Springs is the best for sight seeing, hiking and water quality. Tonkawa springs and Lake Ratcliff are also something to check out in the area
Hi from Waco Tx, Cody..... Houston traffic ain't no joke you were brave! I refuse to drive there! I am originally from NC & we have the long leaf pines there. My yard at home in NC is covered in them. When I first moved to TX that is one of the things I missed most besides family of course, was my tall Pines, the other is the beach! Love y'alls channel & travels!
Yall need to put some gravy on that pizza as the sauce... game over... You're welcome. Lol 💛 Also, check out the small steel or plastic, hand pressurized "weed spray" tanks. The pressure is amazing and the amount of water you save is really great. It works wonders for cleaning dishes and washing hands.
HI KELLIE & CODY 👋 LOOKS BEAUTIFUL THERE . WERE THOSE FIRE ANTS ? LOVE THE LONG NEEDLE PINES TREES & LOVE HEARING THE BREEZE GOING THROUGH THE TREES / FOREST . THANK YOU FOR SHOWING US YOUR SHOWER SYSTEM 🚿
When I was in the Marine Corps when we were out on your ship we would take a Navy shower pull the lever wet down soap up rinse off the water never constantly ran
Beautiful. I live in East Texas. Love the forestry system here. Comment: you make me very nervous picking up that dead pine without leather gloves. There are so many copper head snakes. Very venomous. Also, near water, probably like Arkansas, there are water moccasins (cotton mouths).
Sorry about the TX traffic- it is bad. You may have passed right by us in Katy . We do appreciate the steps you go thru with the camera. Great ant shots. Hope you found a spot you like… maybe something on the reservoir?
We have long leaf pine forests in North Carolina as well in parts of the Sandhills. Kelly I am like you when I see a horsefly. When they bite it feels like they took a chunk out of you.
Kelly is more animated than I’ve seen her in a long time! You guys are happiest in dispersed camping, I think.
My husband and I tent camped for years. We now have a travel trailer. And, we also still enjoy backpacking. Because we do a lot of boondocking in our camper, we have to conserve water as well. I miss HEB to the core of my soul… and that’s about all I miss about Texas except for my friends.
8:06 "your hair is so gorgeous." Love it! Keep rocking in the free world ya'll. Cheers!
Always waiting for the next video to post. Living my dream through you guys. Lol

I LOVE right in the beginning when Cody is doing Sound of Music spinning behind you 😂
Perfect place for a Diamondback Rattler. That spot where Cody was Fishing the People before you two should have put water on the Fire before they left.
Wow. The luckiest guy on the planet. I'm honored.
Kelly got a little snort out of Cody. 😄
Your happiness and having fun together was enjoyable to watch. Thank you!
That danish was not pretty, it was gorgeous! Glad Texas was finally able to satisfy your souls.
I recently visited Rattlesnake Ridge in Arkansas because of this channel. I think of that every time you have hiking videos of both of you. A lot of work! Great job!

I love this area. My grandpa is from Angelina county and their homestead from the 1840s still stands.
I am very impressed with the filming and editing.
I love how Kelly says "you're hair's so gorgeous"😆
This last week Billings Mt had an 85 degree temperature change, from minus 20 to 65 above all in one week. WOW! Enjoy that good weather.
Omg. That looks so Amazing. I can't wait for the Cookbook
I don’t think I’ve ever seen Kellie so goofy! 🤣
I have spent the9 past month dispersed camping in NE Texas.
Lake Bob Sandlin, Quitman Lake, and Lake Winnsboro. All lakefront sites. I grew up real camping too.
Y’all have such an awesome setup. 🥰. I need to find my person to go travel and camp like this. I too love the woods better than public campsites
I could be your huckleberry! Lol
You two bring such joy to my life with your adventures. Seeing how you light up being in the wilderness reminds me of how I feel when I am one with nature. Bless you two!
With the pine forests come ticks and chiggars. Permethrin is your friend. My best technique for dispersed wild camping is via kayak.
Wife and I tent camp a lot. We love it.
I know there isn't anything special about pine trees, but I do love them. Reminds me of south Arkansas
Thanks so much in showing your shower set up. Very trick . It also looks expensive.
Happy blessed birthday cody!! I hope and pray you guys have a wonderful time and man does that pizza look excellent! ‼️🎁🎉🎉🎉🎂💓🤗
Great spot in the forest with all the comforts of home 🙂
They say everything is bigger in Texas...so are the pine cones....😁
Love the shiny green pine needles against the blue sky.
You are a great cook. Cody is so blessed with your food. Awesome videos, thank you so much.
I used to tent camp at Boykin Springs a lot. There were nice campsites near the creek with the sounds of the creek and the crows.
Those pines look like my favorite tree the red pine. The Huron Manistee national forest where we like to camp in Michigan has some amazing red and white pines so thick you can't wrap your arms around them. Thanks for sharing your setup. I really enjoy your videos!
Hey! I just started watching your videos and I have to say I am truly inspired! You both shine such a beautiful light into the world.
Wow what a site! Glad y'all found a cool place to disperse camp in TX. A true rarity!
Pinecones are the best firestarters ever! I'm surprised you threw it back... 🙂
Pines, pines, pines gotta have them❤️! So happy you found your happy place. And that bacon🥰, Kellie did her happy shoulder dance❤️❤️. I love y’all, loved the walk in the woods. I don’t think you stopped smiling this whole video☺️.

Free camping on a great little beach at Port Lavaca also down closer to Padre
You guys are amazing, enjoy every minute of your life.
Everything tastes better when you're camping. I love cooking over an open flame. Thank you Cody and Kellie for sharing your adventures with us. I already have my camping trips planned out for the year.
Neches overlook in Davy Crockett National forest is great for dispersed camping. Huge pine trees
I'm celebrating with you! It's my birthday 🎉🎊🎂. I would love to be there. We're getting ready for a winter snow storm ❄❄❄😫 here in upstate NY. Enjoy your private camp site looks awesome. Happy trails 🤗🏕💕

What beautiful scenery! Loved the sounds of the water. It looks like a wonderful peaceful camp
Sam Houston National Forest also has tons of camping out in the woods that are not in campgrounds 💚
Great filming of massive ant habitat. 🐜
Hope your both okay? Did not see anything on Tuesday or a set up for today. Stay safe and healthy.
my favorite TH-cam channel. So many places I've been to I get to see in greater detail (Ozarks). You two are awesome together. Stay safe.
Hello my. favorite couple .... I too I’m very excited for the cook book!
REALLY good video Good to know what and how to find some camping areas.
Such an amzing spot. I love the pine trees. So interesting looking

I was using talk-to-text that first time so sorry if some words were misspelled but I just corrected it

Hi God bless you!! hope you guys are doing ok ,haven’t see you in a week ☹️🙏

I love that tent. I have the 1 person Alps tent
Thank you for leaving information links for gear!! =)
Wait until Easter - the long needle pine will have little crosses on end of its limbs.
HI KELLIE & CODY 👋
LOOKS BEAUTIFUL THERE . WERE THOSE FIRE ANTS ? LOVE THE LONG NEEDLE PINES TREES & LOVE HEARING THE BREEZE GOING THROUGH THE TREES / FOREST . THANK YOU FOR SHOWING US YOUR SHOWER SYSTEM 🚿
You should try to catch your rinse water to heat later for dinner dishes

Y’all heading back to Arkansas wondering when your next kayaking trip is the lake Ouachita is my favorite place to kayak Island Camp
I use 8 in lag bolt for tent stakes. I drive them in with my impact drill
You crumbled that bacon in half a second!
Great episode. Thanks
The pond site was nice.
Loving it !! 🏕
This is a great pic of u 2
Amazing video. I am go glad you get to do this
