From my personal experience, regular running, jogging, weight training, trekking, etc. helps to get away from or pacify smoking addiction. Get into 1-2 hrs of medium or intense physical activity every day, but gradually. Tobacco addiction or any addiction is because of it induces the neurotransmitter dopamine in the brain. The high level of dopamine is correlated to feeling of pleasure and the low level is to the pain. Everyone has a basal level of dopamine - some stimuli such as nicotine, sex, hard drugs, video games, social media, exercise, etc. increases the dopamine level. We have to give time via total abstinence to bring brain dopamine level down to the basal level. If you keep stimulating dopamine long enough, the "new" dopamine level is at the elevated level- and that clinically indicates an addition. Other ways to boost dopamine whenever you need a "boost" are exercise, reading something you enjoy, meditation, walking outside in the nature, painting, sculpting, or even your regular office work done intensely, would give you a similar stimuli, but has to be done at regular intervals and are non-harmful. Just give it a try - try running 20-25 min at a stretch at a low pace - first 10 min would be difficult, but last 5 min would give you a great dopamine burst (pleasure chemical). Ciao!
Suggestion for dude who wants to quit Cigi I am sharing my experience of given up smoking hope it works for you but try something different if it wont. 1) Most important I Always believe that I am going to quit one day. (Never give up of giving up). 2) Love my self before loving any one else ( its not selfish and I dont want to start debate here). 3) I used to buy 4 single cigarettes. Gradually I decreased the quantity. Also change from High strength to light strength (Marlboro Red to White) 4) At the end I used to smoke one cigarette in a whole day. I used to puff 3 times in one duration light off the cigrate and used the same burnt cigarette by repeating same process 3 times day. Its disgusting but that gave me long term benefit to quit forever. 5) I gave up complementary drinks to smoking such as tea and coffee because it urges me to smoke. 6) I used to brush my teeth after every meal if not then strong mint chew gum. You might use nicobites or patches but i didnt used that. 7) Avoided passive smoking and smokers because smell of smokes craves me to smoke. 8) It generally takes 4 to 5 years to get rid of craving from your tongue. So be very strict. 9) Never visualize that you are smoking with style like client east wood in front of smoking hot chick. 10) Movement of immense stress and anxity were most tempting one I used to pray quranic ayat and brush my teeth or chewing gum. 10) I will complete my 5 years of gving up smoking in novemeber 2021. 11)IF I WILL DO IT ANY ONE CAN DO IT GOD SPEED. ALHAMDULLIAH IT DOESNT SEEMS THAT I WAS EVER A SMOKER. FOR ANY REASON IF YOU START SMOKING AGAIN REMEMBER (Never give up of giving up).NO MATTER WHO SAY WHAT .
