No I lucked out could have had a Karen move in next door.believe me I was worried.im am so lucky to have lojo and his wonderful family as neighbors.my best friend that owned the property bought by lojo offered me free land to move onto the land he bought .I seriously thought about it till I met lojo and his family

Enjoyed the video. Always great to see new hunters getting started, you will never stop learning. Im 46, hunted since i was 12, still learn something new each year. I've lost count on how many deer, I've harvested, our 3k acres has been in the family over 30 years, and that feeling never gets old
I'm sure Daryl has already suggested this. You can take different color flagging/ marking tape and put it at different ranges. It will allow a reference spot for looking for a deer. Give known ranges for shots for hold overs as well as wind indicators down range.

This video is one of the best hunting videos on TH-cam. Turning this into "Field to Table" series would be awesome. Game cooking with Darrell, bringing fellow youtubers on to hunt different species, do a similar series like this but with fish; "Hook to Table" series.

That there Darrell is teaching some good old time ways of doing things. That's one of the issues with todays kids they don't want to learn these things. There kids kids won't even have any idea what we did while growing up. Thank you Lojo for sharing this and Thank you Darrell for the knowledge

Love the content. I would in the off season practice shooting the 30 at different ranges. Accidentally hitting a deer in a spot that they won’t drop for awhile happens but it’s good to try to eliminate your risk of a bad shot as much as possible. Good job Lojo

Congratulations! I know the feeling exactly. I got my first deer this year as well. I missed on 4 bucks last year and I missed on my first deer this year. It was not a big doe, but the meat so far is outstanding. I had some summer sausage, deer steaks, chops and roasts.

@Lojo, bro Im so happy for you, cant wait to see more catch clean cooks and Im loving all the deer hunting that some of the googans are doing. Cant wait to see more. Im disabled and I know I could never carry a deer out but trust me when i say im living life through all of you. So much so that im talking to my brothers about all of us getting our licenses and making it a yearly brotherly trip. Thank you for sharing all this with us. Tell neighbor Darryl he is awesome and maybe he can share a few stories with us about his own hunting or even just more game warden stories or his own experiences with other hunters. Cant wait to see whats next, im loving that you guys are switching things up from the 1v1v1 stuff. I like those too but sometimes you just need to change it up. Maybe get some trail cams for over these entrails and stuff and play the footage every now and again when things are slow. Are you guys going to be doing trapping at all for hogs and coyotes??? Or killing snakes now that you know where this rattler is??? That could be a catch, clean cook except can you eat a rattle snake??? Im new to this so idk. Love the content.
Rattlesnake tastes like chicken. We have rattlesnake rodeos in opp Alabama about 60 miles from LoJo. They are good to eat when fried.
@@mwatkins2464 thank you for letting me know. Im definitely not a snake guy to begin with but i feel if they were dead and cooked up id give it a go, just didnt know you could. Is there any snakes that you cant, that your aware of because of poison or other reasoning?
@@RyanRyker I don’t know of any other ones to eat but I’m sure someone somewhere is eating all kinds . Once you cut the head off you don’t have to worry about the venom. They are easy to skin

Got my first deer in about 25 years on our new property in KY last month. Took a 6 point 125-150 lbs. We got our house and 5 acres Nov 14 the of last year and got my deer Nov 16th of this year's such an awesome feeling to get food off something that is yours. Awesome job lojo. From one veteran to another.

I hunt in Illinois and I plant food plots and all and I shot a 15 point 4 year old this year and I’ve never been more excited in my life it’s in real and all you younger hunters will have chances to do the same thing as long as you hunt hard stay focused pay attention and work hard in preseason

You can also put a 5 gallon bucket in the corner with a hose going to the ground to a burried 5gallon bucket with holes drilled in it for a urinal works great. Just put a valve at the bottom of the bucket for smell just flush with water

Congratulations on your first deer taken on your property !! . Not to bust your bubble but a spike is not a cull buck. They can grow into the biggest deer on your place. I’ve watched them grow into giants but they are really tasty !! Happy hunting

Last year i made two 350 yard shots with my 30-06. An 8 point buck and a doe. Its definitely tough to do

Fist plot name HOG WALLOW , second plot DEER CONDO, third plot LOJO’S PLACE. and the place where Andrew got his ANDREW LANE , the last place RATTLER CORNER, Daryl is a awesome guy . Dont forget Deer heart and liver are good eats too. A tip on skinning take a air compressor and blow air under skin and it helps . I skin a lot of deer for people and I take hang from back legs and make a hole in skin on the front leg pump air in and you can watch and hear the skin separate from meat then cut around the back legs and it just falls off a lot less hair gets on the meat .
