Mohawk, half shaved, fully shaved, etc. BUT I’ve only had bangs once- I cut them myself in 8th grade and they were horrible. And I’ve NEVER had micro bangs- but I’ve always wanted them. I actually have a normal oval face, but being in recovery I have some excess weight on me so my cheeks look full/chubbyish (I’m dieting and losing weight) and I’ve been DYING for this modern shag mullet thing with bangs. I even ordered $10 fake bangs off amazon- and I don’t look that bad! I’ve spent years growing out my hair to my mid back, and I’m gonna practice what I preach and just go for it. Hair always grows back. I LOVE yours
JUST GO DO IT! THIS IS YOUR SIGN! I’ve had every color and every style- Mohawks, half shaved, fully shaved, long, short- and hair always grows back! I grew out a half shaved head in 2 1/2 years. Go get some layers and bangs. It’s a super easy cut to grow out and can be tweaked to flatter your face shape. Life’s way too short. Do it!

Royce was so funny, how he was afraid he would screw up and that you would hold it against him. I am definitely very fortunate, as I have been having my guy cut my hair for me since we met, he trims it for me every couple months. I just take a seat on the stool, get caped and he does the rest while have a glass of wine for me to sip during the process. I was never a fan of going to the salon, so this works great for me. I am glad that he didn’t screw up the amount you had him cut.
Yes, the wine became part of the process about the 3rd time that he cut my hair, I told him that a glass of wine would be nice to have now. So he poured me one to sip, and refilled it as well, after that he would have a glass of wine set out for me before we started. My best friend liked that part of the process, as does my mom. My best friend will bring a bottle of wine to share while hubby gives her a trim, my mother just asks what kind we have in the house.

I cut myself a shag yesterday and I had no Idea what I was doing I literally did it with craft scissors and its great I love it. I think because I have curly hair too, you can't tell how messy it is but that's also why it looks good imo. I urge anyone who is thinking about it to just do it.
Careful with paper cutting/craft scissors! They are not so sharp and with those blade angles the really damage your hair. You can end up with broken up ends in no time. While using a razor, of which you can change the blade in no time to be sharp, can give you much healthier ends that even shine and reflect light. You just can't get those healthy ends with any scissors, not even with Japanese ones.

Should I razor cut my side bangs if my hair is thick and frizzy? Not curly, just wavy and poofy. Will it be ok if I just use a hair cream, or am I damaging my hair ?!
I want a shag so bad but I don't trust anyone near me to do it lol. I recently got my hair cut to my shoulders and it's not cool, she didn't texturize or thin. And I also have naturally wavy curly hair. If I tried this at home, where should I make sure I don't cut past? Jaw? I want shorter in the back, I just don't know how short to go
I’m sorry about your haircut you don’t like. That’s a bummer. Going shorter in the back would be really difficult to do yourself. If it were me, I would make a guide for how short you want your fringe and then go from there. Let us know how it goes!

I did a circle section at my crown and then twisted it and cut off about an inch of the twisted part.
