Sameee! Why do hairstylists these days default to the same boring haircut? It's almost better to mess it up yourself with a diy and then have them correct the details. Sure, they'll have that snobby "leave it to the professionals" attitude, but you'll get what you want. There just aren't as many talented, creative hairstylists as we might think. You'd think they'd be passionate about their job! Ready to try new things, take on challenges. Sadly, it's just a 9-5 for some people. Sorry for the rant.
Well when my walk in hairdresser used a razor she put a hole all the way down to my skin‼️😳😱🤦🏻♀️ And dared to try to flick hair over it , when I was looking at it. And only said oops my bad? WTF? 🤯😡 I said something about it but still paid. Now I wouldn’t pay for the full price if at all. I’m still shocked by herr not giving a flick.
I tried this out and it came out exactly how I wanted! It was quite easy to do as well, thank you for the tutorial. If anyone's giving themselves this haircut, I also used pick up limes' layered haircut tutorial to get to the back of my hair
Thank you so much for making this straight-forward and easily understandable. The razor is glossed over too frequently in most videos, and don't account for the safety razor-comb. Let's try and make sure this video is suggested at the top, everyone
excellent, a classic from the 70's and widely used in the punk wave .. I was very young and I saw them and I liked it .. that even the girls used it but a little more spike on the vertex and crown, by chance you have that cut too. I know it is this same and they ask me, it is always good to see styles and techniques .. greetings and thanks
Yesssss!!! This worked AMAZINGLY!!! just had to add a step for myself because my hair is SO dense, I made a few sections on the crown (like highlight sections) and razored down to 1 inch length to take weight off and added texture
A very informative video! The only one that builds ones confidence for the challenge for a beginner 🔰! Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge sir!
I am soon going to be going into cosmetology, so this tutorial was a big help on how to understand the sections, and the razor cutting close ups. Hopefully will be doing this on my own on my own hair as of right now.
YOU Are Awesome an this editorial video is fantastic, thank you so much for your time expertise knowledge for all you do!! 🙂 Love it an it has helped me sooo much cannot wait to try it!! Have a wonderful day!
how did you decide what length to cut for the guide? is it determined by the length of the fringe? and so what if the hair is way longer, like down to shoulders? would the layers just graduate evenly from the top down? just wondering because I want to do it on myself but i kinda want to know what to do when my hair gets to be longer like down to mid-back or waist for example… loved this video and will definitely use it as a tutorial :) ❤
@Hair Tutorials my old hairdresser always used to talk about how bad razor cutting your hair was, so I always avoided it. Is it really bad/damaging for your hair? Also, can you tell me what brand the open blade razor is please? The link no longer works and I can't make out the lettering on razor itself.
I have fine hair- I always avoided razoring because I figured it would shave the ends of the hair and make them prone to split ends. I guess that doesn’t happen?
I want this haircut so bad but I have like wavy ish/ curly ish hair so how would it work out for me? I would be willing to straighten it and wash my hair like 2/3 times a week? Idk I’m scared abt it looking bad in the end and also feel like the hairdresser will JUDGE me so bad 😭😭 pls help me yall
When he was talking about a 3lb or 300lb razor, I thought he meant pounds, as in weight. Lololol. I was thinking, a 3lb razor sounds kind of heavy, then, it hit me that he was referring to cost. Lolololo.
@@3tch4lk4n if you cut it with a leg shaving razor make sure you take a little bit off at a time, you can always take more off but you can’t add hair back.
My hairdresser is hesitant to do much razor cutting so I am happy to see this. I want to try to do my own. I have always liked that shaggy look.

I hate when they do that... hesitate. B I'm paying DO IT.
Это легко, бритвой работать не надо уметь, там больше фантазии и геометрии
I cut this myself with your guidance. I absolutely love it!!! Best haircut ever!!

I looked up "Joan Jett haircut" and this came up, it does look like her hair from 1980. I've always loved that hair style!

If you like it, of course! Anyone can have cool hair :)
How do I achieve this with scissors instead of a razor?

it’s only bad if you use a razor on dry hair. otherwise, perfectly fine!
Haircut reminds me of nikki sixx's( bass player motley crue) hair doo in the early 80s
Please give details about the color?
What razor works for cutting wigs synthetic ones?

Very 2007 Hayley Williams
Would this work on wavy hair? It’s beautiful
My German Mom would cut my hair with a Razor as a child…she would cut it dry and my hair was curly.
Make bkground plain white to see HAIR better

I’m literally using a razor for shaving leg hair and it’s 3am but fuck it we ball
how did it work out
@ it went pretty well but I’ve cut my fringe before, I used a better razor the first couple of times so I’d recommend you to be experienced for this.
@@UmbrellaCorporationFiredMe cool im desperate for this cut and im close to just doing it myself lol
