When I was a kid (talking 20 years ago), Aldi was so much cheaper than area stores that my grandma would drive the 30 mins to the closest one and shop for a month at a time. Came from a really poor background which sucked but today, I can budget like no one else when I have to.

I honestly had no idea Aldi has been around that long! Budgeting is such a good skill to have an honestly probably something that not a lot of people have experience with.

Ooh I haven’t tried their chicken fries yet, so I will add those to my list! I LOVE their chicken strips and the Buffalo chicken strips for an easy dinner or lunch. Thanks for watching. ❤

Hi Brittany - I like Aldi as well! My husband says get everything I can there and then go to Walmart if I can't find it at Aldi.

That’s what we do as well! Aldi is definitely the cheapest. I used to go to Walmart a lot more, but their prices have gone up quite a bit.

bounty and scotts 6 packs of paper towels are usually 5.99 in my area
here lately ive noticed at walmary iga kroger and dollar general and biglots that the namebrand items are cheaper than storebrand for the same size products
then add the sales equation into it the coupons and digital deals it been cheaper to buy namebrand

I just found your channel. Aldi is my go-to store. I used to be able to fill my cart for $50 back in the day at Aldi, but with inflation it's still the best option in my area. I enjoyed hearing about your son trying solids for the first time. That was such a fun stage when my kids were little, even if it was messy, lol.

Same!! Aldi is definitely the cheapest option with inflation, but definitely still more expensive than it used to be. I would say I 85% of my shopping there. Sometimes I have to run to Walmart to get stuff I can’t get at Aldi. Oh my goodness yes, it’s so fun but SO messy! We’ve been so lucky that Isaac loves food and hasn’t rejected anything yet. I’m so happy you stumbled upon my channel. Welcome 🥰

G'day. A couple of quick questions, if you don't mind.
Add an Australian I'm a little cursed the way North Americans name meats...
You just threw me when you referred to "sausage"...
I've seen others use something that looks almost identical but they call it hamburger...
Am I correct is surmising that "sausage" is pork mince, and "hamburger" is beef mince? And if so... What do you call the long thin meat products in casings WE call sausages..? (I'm so confused right now! 🫢🤯)

Hi there! One of my good friends that I interned with in college is from Australia. I could see how it's confusing because we use a lot of words interchangeably to mean different things. For me personally, I interchangeably refer to "ground sausage", "breakfast sausage" like the patties I bought and the sausages you refer to in the casings as "sausage." Ground sausage would be the equivalent of pork mince and ground beef in America or "hamburger" is the equivalent of beef mince. It's so interesting learning about the different words we use in different cultures for things. Love that. you found my channel from all the way across the world!
