This video outlines the process of changing the oil and air filter on a Honda Pilot 4th Generation 3.5L Engine. This vehicle has almost 5,000 miles at the time this service was performed. You can follow the maintenance minder, which may have you change the oil at or after 7,500 miles. I typically rotate the fluids every 5,000-7,500 miles proactively. This carries higher cost, but I keep my vehicles for longer periods of time and I find this practice extends more costly repairs or forced vehicle replacement due to engine failures later in the vehicles lifecycle.
    In this video we:
    1. Drain the Engine Oil
    2. Replace the Oil Filter
    3. Replace the Engine Oil with the proper amount
    4. Replace the Air Filter
    5. Locate how to reset the maintenance minder and reset the Engine Oil Life
You are free to change at whatever interval you prefer, but above is my mode of operation. I feel this is a good resource to refer to on when and how often to change the oil for a new vehicle: • AVOID the ONE MISTAKE ...
