There was an entire episode about the sudowoodos type. It's not even the worst misleader in types, but it's designed for misleading so it's a novelty of that kind :)

Lugia - Water/Flying (always associated with water, in both the games and anime)
Palkia - Psychic/Dragon (a lot of space themed Pokemon are Psychic type e.g. Deoxys, Lunatone, Solrock)
Comfey - Grass/Fairy (for similar reasons to Florges)
Usually Water types are Pokémon who live underwater like fishes and crabs. Lugia just guards the Sea. It´s likes saying the Lake Trio should be Water Type because they guard the 3 lakes of Sinnoh
I agree - Golduck should be a Psychic type - it evolves from a pokemon with PSY in its name!
I believe this so strongly that, when playing an emulator, I hacked the file to add psychic type to Golduck. It just felt right.
With the introduction of gen 6, Clefairy was the most misleading pokemon because it was a normal type for almost 20 years.
How about a Full Technician Team in honor of one of the best abilities that makes low base moves viable!

Alec, why are you so quick to judge? It isn't an inherently bad idea as it gives pimp a ton of very flexible and fun pokemon to work with. For example: Scizor, Smeargle, Roserade, Breloom, Hitmontop, etc.

The Flygon line confused the crap outta me. I thought at least one of the forms was a bug type. Purugly and the cat that evolves into it I thought was a Dark type for the longest
Apparently, a lot of people I play againts in battle spot forget that froslass is a ghost type. They always used to go for fighting attacks in gen 6 when the gamwdidnt tell you what was super effective and what wasn't.
One of the most confusing typings might be that one of Sudowoodo. It looks like a Grass-type but it is a Rock-type.

DHELMISE. Its typings knocks my bearings out even to this day...
When I first saw Helioptile, I thought instantly that it was a ground type, and I wanted to catch it. I tried to use water gun on it, right? It's what you do to weaken ground types. So I hit the water gun button, and the dry skin triggered, and I was kind of confused because I didn't know that dry skin was a thing back then. I caught it anyway by other means, only to realize it was a normal and electric type.
Nowadays, I often run Heliolisk in Showdown just to chuckle to myself when my enemies consistently use water type moves against it. Glad I wasn't the only one.
[Also, dry skin in the rain is really nice with thunder and grass knot for an anti-rain team monotype normal build.]

FULL NO direct ATTACK MOVES TEAM. Moves Like counter, mirror coat, bide, spiky shield etc, also toxic/poison or burn, weather damage, spikes and stealth rocks etc.
Inkay doesn't have to be Water type cause it simply doesn't live in water like the sea or a pond. And it doesn't use water offensively or defensively either.
Even its Smash description:
NA: Inkay may look like a Water-type Pokémon, but it's actually a Dark/Psychic type! Once it has reached the proper level, Inkay can evolve into Malamar if you hold the Nintendo 3DS upside down. In Smash Bros., its Topsy-Turvy move will flip anyone who wanders too close upside down. Watch out!
PAL: A Pokémon that looks this much like a squid MUST be a Water-type, right? Wrong! It's a Dark- and Psychic-type. If you're struggling to get it to evolve, try holding your system upside down. In this game, Inkay's Topsy-Turvy move can knock you over, and you won't be much use like that, so watch out!

For me, the most confusing type was Flygon. I always thought it was bug-flying until I realized my electric types stopped working on it. I looked it up and it's safe to say I was so confused

Soak is one of my favourite moves. I wish more pokemon could learn it. One of the cool sets with Soak is Lanturn set with stockpile, rest and charge beam - you can hit anything with it thanks to soak with just few exceptions: ground pokemon with water absorb/storm drain.
Soak is actually really good because it also gets rid of STAB which might come in handy
On the bonus battle, we should have used Darkrai's Rest
The Gastly evolution line. I never figured out it had poison typing in addition to ghost. It cost me quite a lot because I thought psychic types were super effective against ghost type for the longest time!
That is because they´re mostly made out of gas. Gastly is likely a chemical element or something
