I was in my early teens in the late 90's so I was fortunate enough to experience the whole era of nu metal and american heavy metal. I've always had a soft spot for bands like Limp Bizkit, Deftones, Korn, Slipknot etc. aswell as post grunge bands like Audioslave and Disturbed and the like. A lot of nostalgia, nice!
I think that's a great idea for them. She may not give a cap about music at all, which would negate it, some kids like reading or fashion or dirt bikes. But if she's a music fan, I'd love to see them do one with her in the driver's seat showing Dad the music that curls her toes.

If you want your progeny to develop an interest in the music you love you buy them an instrument, and then to hook them into playing that instrument in the first place you teach them how to play the melodies from things they like such as anime or cartoons or a sitcom they enjoy. This cements a love in them for creating music themselves and adheres them to the instrument. From there you can introduce them to the music you loved growing up and tell them that unless they take part in regular music sessions with dad you will put an end to their supply of food and water. I used this system on my own children and now two of them are my rhythm section and the eldest lives with his mother.
I was lucky enough to see Falling in Reverse at the Warped Tour a few years ago. I had never heard of them, but they were one of my GF's favorite bands. After seeing them live, I was hooked.

All the original members are back and they do a lot of touring overseas now. They’re doing a few festivals in the states this year.
